We need a synth co-op or synth of the month club. I want to rent or lease a synth for a month then decide if I want to keep. When I consider buying a synth, I want the sounds to fill gaps in my synth sound portfolio. Meaning sounds I cant create with what I currently own. Then I look at the interface and workflow. The hardest part to know before buying is how the sounds will sit a mix. Could be user error, but I have bought and sold several Dreadbox synths because they are too muddy in a mix. Future synth acquisition contenders are the rev4 Prophet 5, UDO Super 6 and full size MS-20. Might consider the Behringer XA.

@@paulfisko The business plan is like the underwear stealing gnomes from south park. Step 1, create website/app for people to pair up and borrow synths. Step 2, ???. Step 3, profit!

I had the Moog One and it was always out of tune, had a loud fan and the 16 oscillators make lots of heat! The cheap wood which felt rough and splintery to the touch didn't make sense on that synth either. Sometimes the view you have in your mind doesn't match when you are sitting home playing it.

How about the Hydrasynth? I love mine. Easy to program and great bang for the buck. Had it since January. Have also had plenty of time on my hands to dig deep into the architecture. And no, I am not working on a commission! :)
