Is that thermostat you have crossing on top of that heat element? I viewed the heat element & nothing was broken. I could not get the post from the thermostat off of the post of the heat element, it would not come off. So I tested while it was connected and thermostat worked but heat element made no reading, but it was still connected to the thermostat that was working
I checked all the switchs and fuses multiple times but you brought to my attention it will run and not heat if only 120 volts...sure enough I only had 120 and reset all breakers on the house and good to go. thanks!
When you said you reset all breakers on the house, did you flip each one or just trip the over all switch to reset everything? Mine worked but just no heat. Only issue I have is with the weird connection of that thermostat that overlaps the heat element. Everything beeps and work except that heat element block but it only has a red wire unlike all other parts that have two wires to test????
Thank you so much for the helpful and money-saving video! The no heat situation on my Whirlpool dryer turned out to be the thermistor, as you called it. An easy $10 fix vs. $98.00 service call fee for a repair man to come to the house. My wife thinks I'm a hero for fixing it.
