My gas dryer heats only for the first 5 minutes and cold air comes out from it after that. For the 3 prongs coil, 1&2 works, 1&3 works but not 2&3, it's O.L. Is this normal?
My dryer turns off the gas after a couple minutes it was first turned on, and the drum would just keeps on rolling, the gas stays off after that, unless I cycle the dyer again (turn it off and turn it back on), then the gas would turn on after a few minutes and then stays off until the timer resets to zero. All thermostat shows continuity though, What could be the problem?
Cool.... my dryer must have a bad coil because the gas wont flow even after the igniter heats up. I'll have to check the ac first liek you say but I'd bet you got it. Thanks.
my whirlpool dryer starts and flames up, then 20 seconds or so, flame off, is this a coil issue? or with bad coils will there be no flame at all? please advise. thankyou
Hi, could you please explain where to set the dial on the multi meter in order to preform the test you describe here.Thank you for sharing your knowledge. It is a valuable lesson for us do it yourselfers. How do I test the other coil with the three connectors on it?
