Good review Simon. They looked looked lovely, the fish was a good size with lovely batter. It was also a good price. The fish and chips where I live in the north east at my local chippy are 8 pounds 20 just for fish and chips and they aren't all that good. Yours was 100% better.
Always go to the magpie in whitby , have frequented trenchers tho . Ps with a tache and beard like that you might get free fish if you swam in the harbour .
Do you know, I've probably spent an hour at least watching you snarfing fish suppers ... why do I do this to myself? Very appetising once again, and wonky chips too. 🙂
Hey Simon, Champion fish'n'Chip's review, great recommendation. WOW...!! £9.20 for fish'n'Chip's as smashing as that, you can't do better for value in Whitby. As mentioned before, me & Mrs k usually go to Mr Chip's on the east cliff for our fish supper but the fish box will be on our list as a alternative. Cheers & Keep laughing, my old friend. 😂😂👍👍

'Ello its me again Simon, couldn't resist fish&chips 😊 never can,nor would I try😮 A first time seeing crinkle cut chips in a chippy 😮 The Cod was a fine sight ( but the important question: " Does the batter matter OR is it the fish that makes the dish? I don't like the impersonal screen ordering system. Interacting with the staff is part of the experience. Even when they're grumpy. Food looks good! Crinkle cut chips is my preference. Why don't more f & c shops offer them...? Chip, chin!
I absolutely love all your videos especially the fish and chip ones...always make me hungry!!! Have you ever had them from Riverside fisheries? We will be staying at soda cottage in August and it seems quite near that's if it still open. Google maps is 4yr ago. Keep the videos coming love them all ❤
I was in there today, can't say that I was impressed with either the size of the Cod or the price....Cod very small, not many chips either, Just over £18 for me and the wife.
Great review by you as always ... but I'm not a fan of those screens very impersonal ( ok in a large franchise burger joint ) . Didn't see a touch box for " scraps " lol . Not sure about vegetable oil..got to be beef dripping hasn't it especially in N Yorkshire. Saying all that it looked ok .
Has this place changed recently and no longer fuscos? We went yesterday and did not look like this, I think my small cod was actually a goldfish and the chips were not crinkle cut, the mushy peas didn't look like that either.... 🤔 We have had lots of fish and chips in Whitby and these were, unfortunately, the worst. I don't like saying negative things, especially as the staff were nice and a nice atmosphere. Maybe go back and see what the craic is now and a re-review lol
@@simplywhitby5356 still says fuscos on their website too, hmm. It literally looked nothing like what you have there. Kids meals were good, maybe we just got a bad time being a Monday evening. But I wouldn't risk going back to fish box now, we were looking for ward to the crinkle cut too lol 😆
I was just about to award you with TWO browny points for having your own "cutlery". But they were bleeding plastic ! So for that reason y'er only getting one. I watch these food reviews before i have mi tea, so as to get an appetite. They looked just fine .....Tea's up !!
That's a solid 10 without a doubt I thought I was a seasoned peasant taking my own plastic cutlery but you have gone one better and have a case for your cutlery have you thought of taking your own sauce I can't be doing with the stupid sauces sachets with only enough for 2 chips.
