I was thrilled to see you and Esther together talking about this subject. As an African-American man, I cannot speak about my experiences growing up in Africa. Still, I can tell you a lot about what it is like growing up being of African descent in the United States of America, and the knowledge and skills that you will need to survive, aside from having the basics of food, clothing, and shelter. The first thing a Black child will need is loving parents. The next thing they will need is a strong sense of racial pride, which can be fostered through teaching him Black history, placing images of Black art in the house, etc. Studies have shown that Black American children with a strong sense of racial pride tend to do better academically. The second thing that the child will need to understand is the dynamics of white supremacy and how it operates in American society, as well as how to best navigate that world. Now, I am not saying that a white parent can't imbue a Black child with these skills, but, given the fact that white Americans have never had to deal with white racism, I highly doubt it. That’s why I have a problem with non-Black people adopting Black children, especially whites who lie and say that they don’t see race. Even a person who is colorblind can tell the difference between a person who is black and one who is white. So they can miss me with that B.S.

Hello ladies I like your content about African Americans adoption of African children. I am a retired African American expiate living in South Africa. I had to get a retirement visa to stay for at while in South Africa. I would love to adopt an African child. I have to get more visa to stay longer which will be more money from me. African people need to realize every African American 🇺🇸 people that come to South Africa are not rich! So stop thinking that. Now this happens in the USA where white Americans adopt Blacks it’s a hard process in the USA for sure. I don’t like it for the Black children !!!1
