I watched the video, she was not fleeing, wasn't fearful and was very aggressive. If she caught him on the chin with a straight right hand and dazed him, the entire world would be laughing. He obviously lost control and should have handled it better, but I'm not letting anyone get the drop on me, male or female.

He's going to be suspended for most of the 2019 season. He won't contribute to next season's team. So, Cleveland just signed a guy on suspension, who has problems keeping himself out of trouble when he's not playing football. Bad move.

Personally, after watching the video, it was clear the 2 skanks were the trouble makers. Where is their punishment? I would hate to think we can take away someone's livelihood because of something like this. It doesn't happen to thousands of everyday citizens who make a bad decision outside their work. I wouldn't fire an employee because he got into a drunken barfight on Friday night. It has no bearing on his ability to perform his duties while on the job. I just wish he was still in the Chiefs Kingdom.

My Brownies will take good care of him. He's home now. I watched Kareem play all 4 yrs for my Rockets and he was awesome. Knew he was gonna be good in the NFL and under drafted. Browns were still idiots then and passed on him. Now though, the cosmic tides have turned. I want to sincerely thank KC for Dorsey and Hunt. I've always liked the queefs.

Ok I’m by no means in great shape but still 6’2 210 pounds. If a 5’4 120 pound man attacked me I would do my best not hurt him. So why would a hyper fit man feel the need to attack any women? Walter Gill Especially comparing this to what Ray Rice did, this was harmless. Saying he kicked her is wrong, he shoved her over. The whole time he was just shoving her. It’s really taken out of context. She allegedly called him the n word, he came out of the hotel room trying to talk her down seemingly and she instigated the physical confrontation. He shouldn’t have retaliated but he didn’t just maliciously attack some poor random girl.

I think what they're getting at (or should be) is that there's no problem signing him. But let the man take care of what he has to take care of off the field first before teams dive in. Not sure if the league finished it's investigation or not, but if Kareem Hunt needs counseling, anger management, or whatever...let him handle that first, then focus on getting him signed to a roster. The off-season is only a week old.

@DB Brewer I'm fully aware of what the rules state....you're talking like I have some vested interest in the situation. It's really not that deep. Just because he's near home doesn't make a difference. Wasn't he near home when the incident happened? So you're saying that in order for him to be the "best he can be", it doesn't matter for him to get help so long as he's signed to a team? How is that looking out for his best interest? What if something else happens? Season doesn't start for another 5-6 months. It's a league-wide problem that needs fixing, but they won't address it.

I am from KCMO, Kareem will not be an issue, the Brown have signed one of the top 3 backs in the league and improved that team in a huge way. I wish KC would have kept him. I am no fan of the browns, but I can say that team is going to be a force, with Baker, now Kareem, watch out man, I think Dorsey is actually turning that team around.

Jason Kane him and Chubb are going to put the saints duo of Kamara and Ingram on the hot seat as the best backfield in football. Both are 1000+ yds 10+ touchdown guys running the ball alone in a full season. With Baker at QB, they have definitely vacated their spot as the basement NFL team. The cardinals, buccs, and raiders are now competing for the new worst team title. Arizona is leading as of now, but the buccs are a few crab legs away from taking it. Raiders could be good next year, but with gruden you honestly never know.

Moved to Cleveland my junior year of hs and it took me a couple years to unfortunately leave my Baltimore ravens behind and learn to love the brownies. Good the Cleveland Browns signed Kareem Hunt giving him a second chance because he should not lose his entire career over a domestic abuse situation that he didn't start in the first place but reacted in a defensive manner based on the woman's initial physical actions. Kareem Hunt has talent, he made a mistake and shouldn't lose his football career because of it. If what happened to Hunt had happened to a medical doctor, he doesn't lose his medicine license or his medical practice......after domestic abuse counseling, he he continues to to practice medicine..... total feminists hypocrisy. He will go through domestic abuse rehab, get suspended games by the league and in the end, he's gainfully employed as a NFL football player..... the right thing to do and also this positive action by the Browns will hopefully start a serious conversation and debate about domestic abuse and women's negative roles they have in both physically and verbally causing domestic abuse by their initial negative actions towards men. Finally, NFL owner and a team unlike gutless NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell with guts who isn't afraid of what women who have been mentally conditioned to believe that when it comes to domestic abuse, it's never, ever their fault. Let the debate begin.

Why should Kareem Hunt lose his football career when she was the agressor; spitting, hitting and calling him the "N" word,...the police reviewed the video tape, saw nothing he did wrong and no charges filed against Hunt. That's responsible police work and the Cleveland Browns were also responsible doing their due diligence and not jump to conclusions that he was wrong because if he was wrong, they would not have signed him. Pay close attention to the video and stop automatically assuming that it is none of her fault when it clearly was because she physically assaulted him first. Question for you. If that happened to you in the very same manner, do you think you should lose your job?

Browns now have two beasts running the ball, and Duke Johnson is darn good too. I don't like what he did, but it pales in comparison to Rice or Peterson's KO'ing a loved one or hitting a small child til he's bruised and bleeding. Plus, he's a local guy who Dorsey has closely followed.

Sure it looks good on paper, but you cant just stack on position. You have your franchise RB who is a 3 down back. The Browns were looking for a backup, so get someone like Tevin Coleman who will be way cheaper. And now they still have a problem because he will be suspended for half the season. Its not a good fit at all

@@cimarronMC Kitchens unveiled a successful Wishbone for a series against Atlanta last season. Imagine having that formation in your back pocket for a playoff push?? Kareem looking to get a 10-12 game rip before he can see the field. Last 5 to 7 weeks gets him back into form. Then come playoffs, YES..barring disaster the Browns will get a home playoff game, they have a Wishbone package featuring Chubb, Duke, AND Kareem...most likely with Njoku and Landry on the field as well. That would be an absolute matchup nightmare for opposing defenses. FEAR 6!

beating a woman can be forgiven, but doesn’t mean you are playing on my team. Forgiveness and getting everything back that you lost aren’t the same thing. The nfl has a bad problem with domestic violence as a whole, of course it’s a small percentage of the players, but I don’t hear of MLB players or NBA players with the same regularity having these issues. The NFL and all teams have called for an end to domestic violence, so signing a player that committed it, is hypocritical.

Kareem Hunt is not Ray Rice he did not hit her with a closed Fist and knock her out if you watch the video it's clear she was saying something to him to get him upset for him to push her several times and then kick her over while she was squatting down not curb stomp her or kick her with even a hint of his full force. He obviously held back. Im not condoning what he did just saying he didn't leave her unconscious or even bleeding. If he was going to be signed in the near future regardless what does it matter if Cleveland hopped on the opportunity now what's the difference. Sounds like people are just mad that he signed with Cleveland.

From just a football standpoint I think the Browns acted proactively not because of the Bears but rather the Ravens. From the standpoint of a father w/ 2 daughters, I'm not crazy about the signing. I do think people deserve a 2nd chance but not a 3rd,4th, 5th. Remember Dorsey got rid of Josh Gordon when he didn't adhere to the rules set out for him. People forget that.

4:06 This rehab thing is a joke, narrative portrays a person who finished serving 10yrs in prison.... like he made a bad mistake in the heat of the moment, I won't justify what he did but we've all done or said harmful things in the heat of the moment, egregious as as hitting a woman? I reckon some out there have done the same of worst just haven't been caught. Being fired and receiving public ridicule is enough this whole rehab thing is overblown for situations like this.

The browns have shown they take care of players with issues. Their patience with Gordon show that it's not about putting up numbers for the most part. He honestly in the best situation with a team that will invest in his mental well being.

As a Chiefs fan he definitely deserves another chance, shame we had to release such a great RB. I think this isn't one of the best spots for him to go to though because of the fact that his altercations happened in Ohio. Good luck to you Browns fans, you guys deserve it. Your team is definitely going to be scary next year.
