It really just shows you he does a lot of it for the show. I have to assume nick wright is the same. I can’t fully tell yet because I haven’t seen him do many interviews like this, but I find it hard to believe some of his meat riding tendencies.
@@frandavis1990 he is better than lynch, taylor, houston and krause in my opinion, kam was dominant, the best safety of his generation, the thing with him is that his career was short, and he didnt get the individual awards to get enough reconigzment, but on the field, no one was better than him, no eric berry or earl thomas could play at his level
@@joosee3309top ten is high. Lott, reed, Troy, Dawkins, Easley, Atwater, shell, lynch, Houston, Harris, Krause, tunnel. Kam is first ballot hall of very good
Agreed. Those two broker zero debate. After that if becomes tougher, though for me it's between Easley, Tez & Wagner. Bit obvious I know given they are (or will be re' Wagz) our five bona fide HoF players. Alexander, Sherm, Thomas (did mar his CV a lot mind), Green (criminally underrated), Kam, Lynch, Warner (also underrated & f that damn ACL injury) and (tbf) probably Wilson (though he annoys me somewhat) are all on the rung below.
That Super Bowl season sherm lead the league in interceptions and was ranked last in targets iirc which is a bonkers stat. Prime Sherm was filthy as hell, dude was one of the most cerebral corners to play the game, just knew how to lay in zone and watch for the play and be a menace
Russ was solid but his last year in Seattle and every year since has been a disaster, clearly indicating he was carried by the defense. Russ was the perfect QB in a system where he didn’t need to make big plays in order to win, now that he does there’s a reason he hasn’t sniffed the playoffs in years
Agreed. My personal favourite player ever and probably one of my four. Guess we're now at a point where there are fewer of us who can remember watching him play. Total dominance and the best Hawks DB to ever suit up. Him, Brown and Harris/Robinson were the original LOB.
I’d say Easley is definitely one of the best safeties ever. He’s in the hof and if we’re talking about peak the only guys above him off the top of my head are Dawkins, Troy, reed, and Lott
The 2 locks are : Largent (retired as the leading receiver in every stat) Jones (Allowed only 23 sacks in 13 years which is insane for a left tackle) Then the other 2 could be either Kennedy, Alexander, or Sherman
@@Killacam1992its hard bro, cause he is definitely a top 5 mlb of all time, just like big walt and largent in their respective positions, but the difference is that those guys never leave, and bwagz even play for the rams
I’m not mad at his 4 and honestly I never realized how many greats played in Seattle. Because I also thought of Wagner, Chancellor, Hasselbeck, and Lynch
Largent Big Walt Bam Bam (my all time favorite Hawk) Bobby My fifth pick would be impossible to choose. Too many great names from every era. Most underrated Seahawk ever? Lofa Tatupu, no question.
Damn good question. So many that you could debate for. We've had way more great great players and coaches up here than people realize. We get overlooked up here in the pacific northwest
Yes Walter Jones is the second on the mountain behind Largent 197 games started Jones playes the second most at 186. Also two of the best to ever play there positions. I think you put Kam Chancelor, Richard Sherman, and Earl Thomas on the space needle
Objectively, it only seems right to have the four players who are all enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame and have their numbers retired by the Seahawks: Steve Largent, Cortez Kennedy, Kenny Easley, Walter Jones. My personal list would be: Steve Largent, Walter Jones, Bobby Wagner, Russell Wilson.
There’s so many, that’s a really hard question. Largent is a lock.the next 3 are tough. Walter jones, Sherman, chancellor, hell locket is kind of the next Steve largent for us, Alexander, Mack strong, tatupu and bwagz. To a lesser degree trufant. So hard, we have been very fortunate to always have greats players and be competitive.
Going purely by play on the field: Tier 1: Steve Largent, Kenny Easley, Cortez Kennedy, Walter Jones, Earl Thomas, Richard Sherman, and Bobby Wagner. Tier 2: Curt Warner, Steve Hutchinson, Shaun Alexander, Marshawn Lynch, Kam Chancellor, Russell Wilson. Tier 3: the rest of the Seahawks Ring of Honor, like half of the players on the LOB teams.
Its got to be jones, largent, and wagner at least. All 3 helped define what it is to be a great at your position. I cant put russ since he just left on such bitter terms. My 4th would probably be lynch since even though Alexander won an mvp, lynch is just so beloved by Seattle fans. I hope DK can be in this conversation if he continues to improve since i just love watching him be this monster on the field. Reminds me of gronk and megaton just being freaks of nature and making defenses look like little kids because of their size and speed.
I hate the "Mt. Rushmore" question (in any sport) because there are so many players that were great and you can only pick 4. Like, how do you determine a players worth? There weren't that many Presidents to choose from when Rushmore was carved, so the pool was fairly small. Even today we've only had 48 Presidents and that's not even a full NFL roster.
Was just looking for someone to bring up his name. Not sure if he would make my Mt. Rushmore but definitely an honorable mention. The man struck fear in the hearts of his opponents.
After much intense consideration I'm going (in chronological order) Largent, Easley, Walt and Wagz, though it pains me dearly to leave off Tez. For those questioning Easley, and I suspect there'll be a good few, I get that, but I also guess that many are too young to remember him play. If you are not fortunate enough to have seen Easley, imagine an even better version of Kam (tricky I know). He was totally and utterly dominant; and along with Dave Brown at CB (hugely underrated) and John Harris (also underrated) and then Eugene Robinson at FS very much formed the precursor to the LOB.
Marshawn played almost two seasons more than Alexander and still has 15 less TDs. The two have very similar careers tbh. But you don’t just get a league MVP by being a bum. If Alexander would’ve played the whole season his last two years in SEA this isn’t even a discussion. Alexander is also top ten in career TDs like come on.
Marshawn, Sherman, largent or Alexander , Pete Carrol. Insane not too have anyone from their one superbowl season on there. Edit: Sherman pick was a good rebound but no Marshawn is crazy
Not a Seahawks fan but people forget Alexander had a couple bonkers years with touchdowns n stats. Beast mode definitely was better for longer but played in Buffalo and Vegas too. I think you gotta throw Russ somewhere in the convo. Maybe not on it but in the discussion. I would say Bobby Wagner too and tatupu as well for consideration. The other old timers are all fair as well and gtfoh with cam chancellor. Earl Thomas, Wagner or Sherm were way more impactful play to play
I know it’s not popular to say, but Russ should be on the list. Best qb they’ve had and was good for a decade and won a Super Bowl and many playoff games
The issue with Hutch is that he went elsewhere. Not blaming him for taking the money, but still leaves that slightly bitter taste, not least because he was arguably even better with the Vikings 😔
