The title is basically a question from those who haven't seen any Doctor Who.

I noticed that Davros’ race name “Kaleds” sounds almost similar to “Daleks” if you rearrange the letters

21st December 2016 will mark 53-years since the Daleks made their first on-screen appearance! With the vastness of time and space, their millions of years of existence and the Daleks' own crude access to time travel, the Doctor is always ensured to encounter them again! They are never truly defeated!

I hope they will have Paul McGann reprise as the Eighth Doctor again sometime so he can have some actual screen time with the Daleks. At least that way he will have encountered the Daleks on screen in some capacity instead of just in the Big Finish audios. Jon Pertwee was eventually able to face the Cybermen in "The Five Doctors" after never actually dealing with them during his years on Doctor Who. So maybe they should do the same thing for Paul McGann with the Daleks at some point.

The very first Dalek mutant created by Davros was in fact a Thal prisoner they experimented on. Also "The Oncoming Storm" in native Dalek is "Kal Faraq Gatri".

As much as I love these and as awesome as they are, they would be THAT much better with voice over. In fact they were indeed better back when they had an amazing actor doing the VO for them. I truly wish we could have him back. #BringBackCaptainJack

What about the "original" daleks on Skaro in the first season (1963)? Didn't they evolve from a humanoid species (Dals), which was at wars with the Thals, after a nuclear fallout? (I think this war was featured in "The Magician's Apprentice", in the first scene)

Essential information? Their weaknesses may include: -Reliance on life support/machinery -Stairs (Until remembrance of The Daleks........) -Exposure to extreme temperatures (Death to The Daleks, I think.) -Really big explosions (pretty much every episode, but notably Destiny of The Daleks and every post-2005 episode) I guess that's it? Unless you could somehow suck them into the void or something........

You get points for somehow making a video about the Daleks without a single shout of "EXTERMINATE!"

The Daleks are awesome !

So what ever happened to the Thals? Remember them? At the end of the first Dalek story they are left in the dead forest when the Doctor leaves. Next we meet them in "Planet Of The Daleks" where they have basic interstellar travel. They return "home" in a captured dalek ship. In "Genisis Of the Daleks" the survivors of the Thal city wander off into the countrycide. And that's about it. Did they leave Skaro and settle somewhere else? Or did they remain on Skaro? (Destroyed by the 7th Doctor). There's a little bit of DW history there waiting to be cleared up.

this would be a great start! however a really good idea and a way to bring even more viewers and fans of doctor who would be a complete explained documentary of the doctor not for fans only but for the new viewers! how the doctor started! what started the process! over the years that I have been a fan one thing I have found is many people who are interested find it hard to understand the concept simply because they never seen the original series! true it is not hard to see the Daleks as evil but why? try and explain Davros? Do it here so everyone can see it and I think that would be better then anything.
