Who Created The Fuzzy Ink? 

I actually had a pretty wild theory about the story mode when I first saw the trailer, what if the new antagonist turns out to be the original beta characters they were going to use for splatoon before settling on squids: the bunny people

The fact that this man almost predicted Mr. Grizz's plan is insane

Coming to this after Splatoon 3 and seeing that this man pretty much predicted Mr. Grizz's intentions is insane

Don't you fight Salmonoids because of Grizz? If little buddies eat that fuzzy ink....what if they were keeping it at bay all this time and Grizz hunts their eggs to prevent them from keeping it at bay?

When you look at the character chart Nintendo released awhile back they describe little Judd as “complex” and also that when they look at Judd they think, “I’ve known from the moment of my birth that I’m a replica of you, How could you ever understand my feelings?” Not to mention that whenever Judd judges a match, little Judd gets knocked down. I like to think that little Judd is rebelling in some way, and that Grizz will be some kind of antagonist, and help the player take them down. Either way I’m really excited to see what happens :)

I honestly can't wait for Splatoon 3!!! I hope that the story mode will tie up some loose ends in the lore of Splatoon!

Mr. Grizz deffinately plays a heavy roll in this, both in the fact he was against the salmanoids in the begining, and because of course, return of the mammalians. Either his actions in splatoon 2 were to wipe out the salmanoids because he had a concern with them, or because he figured the golden eggs were a new type of powersource more viable than zappfish. For all we know the entire disaster that occurs in splatoon 3 is caused by a major eradication of the salmanoids leading to a suprise disaster caused by their lack of presence. Hence the reason after so long inklings can cope with salmanoid existence because they aren't seen as targets anymore due to the passage of time. or heck even worse, they have no knowledge of the salmanoids prior anymore due to them wiping them out. "Oh cool, nice pet man. Where did you find it?" I mean, we went from splatoon 1 to 2 with agent 4 having no idea who the most popular squid sisters were with such a short term passage of time. Wouldn't be hard for salmanoids to be forgotten as well by the newer generation.

I honestly think it may be Tartar. The fuzzy ink/ooze acts similar to the sanitized ink, making those who touch them loose sense of self. Plus the statuses of the Easter island heads pulse a light like the NILS statue did in octo expansion. Maybe the fuzzy ooze is an experiment from Tartar to evolve his plans. Idk

I personally like to think that mr.grizz is trying to bring back the mammals, using the salmon eggs to research how to turn these ink based life forms into a new breed of mammals, which can slightly explain why the salmons are able to come into contact without any harm due to salmons being the base of the “cure”

My theory is that Lil’ Judd is the villain. Very much aware of his actions, and in the process of backstabbing not only Judd but also literally everyone else in an attempt to wash away the oceanic life forms and bring back the mammalians in some capacity.

For whatever reason I can just imagine commander tartar sanitizing a bunch of octarians, then a fuzzy ink thing happens so there are just fuzzy, sanitized abominations of octarians in infinite pain, both of their corruptions fighting for the body when the new agent 3 just runs in and shoots those abominations to death.

now that splatoon 3 is out and we see theory 2 is correct,but according to grizz the stuff was there before him,he just gave it hair,so we still don't know the answer.

To me, I'm really hoping for a new villain but the third option is cool with me as well, I do find the whole idea of the professor being the villian after somehow surviving due to some experiment that went wrong before the ocean water killed everything except for Judd and lil' Judd as well as TarTar as a statue somehow survived being submerged under the ocean water for that many years until TarTar's defeat is a very interesting idea

These are cool theories. I wonder if we'll see any returning bosses from the past 3 story modes come back all fuzzy in Splatoon 3, like maybe the Octo stomp "And I brought a new fur coat!", or like the Octo shower but it's like a pet shower, or like moldy and fuzzy Octo oven. The Octo Maw would be cool to see, like a furry mole digging through the stage. I wonder...maybe one of the idols...no no, I'm getting ahead of myself. I wonder what new bosses they might add too, like a backpack or a gumball machine.

i think the villain is Tartar because of the similarities between the sanitized octos, also Tartar wanted to create a “perfect” species iirc so the fuzziness is probably a form of evolution

Honestly, I liked the Lil' Judd theory but it turns out Grizz was the real villain. I wish that the two Judds were the villains.

I feel like the evil character will probably be Marina and mr grizz because marina has connections with Octarians and maybe she is mad from not winning the last splatfest and run away with mr grizz. Mr grizz is connected to story mode most likely since you can hear he jingle reversed when the trailer ends

Lil Judd actually had evil intentions and wants to kill regular Judd. So that may be a side plot. I think Mr. Grizz could be the villain of the game because the connections to mammals are present with both the furry ink and Mr. Grizz themself.

What if the rocket is used to travel to space to blast the entire world with fuzzy ink? Like how tartar tried to use the Statue of Liberty as a thing to wipeout.

I think Mr.Grizz may be up to something, the unidentifiable character, the desire for eggs, fuzzy ooze, mammalians, and even that distorted music in the hero mode trailer.

Grizz probably made the ink. Salmons aren’t affected because grizz thinks they’re all wiped out, or they’re made specific for inklings and octos.

With all the info we have so far, it seems as if the only color the fuzzy ooze comes in (disregarding the weird colorful part) is shades of brown... hmm... Which creature has FUZZY fur that are also shades of BROWN?? ..:GRIZZLY BEARS 🐻 Now I know that there are other animals that have fuzzy brown fur, but here me out... Ark Polaris seemingly has fresh BEAR FOOTPRINTS. Interesting how 12,000 years pass by and not one current of water was strong enough to wash those bear footprints away... 🤨

Honestly, i just want Sheldon to be the final boss. I mean, he has access to all the finest weaponry in all of Splatoon right? And he's been studying the agents uses of the weapons he sells. It would be cool to have, i don't know, Sheldon admiring Dr Octavio due to his big DJ stage mech. I don't know.. Sheldon does make big monies so that incorporates the greedy part. Ah, whatever this has nothing to do with Fuzzy ink.

Before anything about Splatoon 3 even came out, I was wishing it would have a similar plot to the Mario movie in 198-something

my personal theory is something’s going on with the evolution on earth, mammals coming back, and the rocket’s gonna be the last ditch attempt to save inkling-kind but i bet the final boss will be some remaining humans on the moon or something

Spoiler warning...so like go do the story - - - - - - - - - - I feel after completing the story there are still some loose ends that are still to be tied up. This was a cool video and its always fun to see what theories where true or not. But what happens to salmon run now? like they explained "oh Mr.Grizz was using golden eggs to make fuzzy ooze and wanted to cause the return of the mammalians" But like now that he is floating in space now what? The only change to salmon run is the statue in the lobby is different. Who is paying us to fight salmonids now? I heard a theory that Mr.Grizz was just using recordings so he could work on the rocket while getting eggs delivered but that still doesn't explain why we are still collecting eggs. I guess salmonids are still a problem and by removing Mr.Grizz as the announcer it would have spoiled the story but that feels kinda wrong? Imagine if you walked into lowes for your 9-5 and Osama Bin Laden was on the intercom telling you about the lowes card. Hopefully later on nintendo just bites the spoiler bullet and says sorry about your tough luck and gives us a new owner of salmon run. "following the disappearance of Grizzco industries Mr.Grizz, Former Hit octarian DJ, Octavio has now picked up the mantle in fight against the salmonid fight" something like that would just fit so much better.

For those coming back after Splatoon 3's release and still wanna know, the log given following the completion of the Secret Kettle reveals the answer. If you don't wanna be spoiled for the Secret Kettle or Splatoon 3 in general, then scroll away, otherwise let me explain. When disaster Struck humanity, aside from those who survived and fled underground, there was one ship, the Ark Polaris which managed to flee with much of Earth's many species in cryostasis, aiming to flee Earth and find a new planet. Upon nearing the edge of the solar system, debree struck the vessel and damaged its navigation. The crew managed to get it back to earth, however without fuel it drifted in the orbit of earth for 10,000 years until crashing down. The only survivor, a single bear who had been concisions but 'dreaming' the entire time realized he was not in a new planet but rather Earth, and one ruled not by mammals but by aquatic lifeforms. Upon finding the last bastion of humanity on Earth, he found the broken down crystals which held the desires of humanity which eventually merged with the aquatic life to form the aquatic life of Splatoon, and merged it with both his own fur and Golden Eggs. Needing a whole lot in order to cover the world in it and bring about a new mammalian era, he needed a lot of Golden Eggs. In order to do this, he recruited inklings and later Octolings for this mission under 'Grizzco Industries' titling himself 'Mr.Grizz.' Bonus Fun Fact: Upon beating the Final Boss, Grizz's statue in his lobby turns from a bear eating a fish to a fish eating a bear.

It's so fun to look back on these and see what people thought. And yeah! He got pretty much everything right!

I wonder if the fur goop has the same effect on octolings despite the effect it has on other octo based cspecies. So the story is focused on the tentacle cut off octarians rising up against their own current society and the squids.

Concept: Tar Tar being the villain (Octo expansion boss) he is one of the few beings with dna-altering abilities.

No one wonders why in every game from the eighth expansion onwards they are victims of all the experiments of the antagonist in turn. Aren't they supposed to have some kind of society, something like that? They decide or are they just a small part and the other Octolings are fine? Where is Octovius every time his army is kidnapped by a phone or a bear with multicolored marker ink?

I had an idea, when, when a scientist who created Judd and tartar was trying to save mammals what if he ended up creating the furry ink as a way to try and revive mammals but it ended up becoming what it is now and since it makes you lose your sense of self when you touch it it ended up hitting any cremates are other people Causing them to lose their sense of self and not start the launch sequence correctly, Or it ended up breaking the ships control system

I have an idea that Judd and lil Judd were kidnapped by griz, then griz used their DNA and shoved it all in some ink just for a little experiment because he was board. But he used it to his advantage to take over most of the octarian army. Maybe as a final battle we need to fight on the rocket and in space. But anyways, the thing that I want the most, is more animated cutscenes like the octo expansion had.

there's another idea about mr. grizz. y'know what i should be saying theory. grizzco might be sending them off to the--AHEM--octarians. it seems like the most logical reason because- how do octarians get their energy anyway? oh wait, that does make it seem confusing because of the fuzzy octarians tho.. here i am, solving a new problem.

my thoughts with mr grizz is that he knew about the fuzzy ink for a while, but we just don't know if he was planning to end the salmonid species to make it so we cant clean it up, or get golden eggs for domesticated salmonids that could clean it up without attacking their owner with their pots and pans.

A remember hearing about a thing, I don't remember where or if it was true or not but the thing or theory was little Judd wanted to overthrow Judd out of jealousy(?) or something like that making little Judd a 'bad guy' hinting at he's always on the 'bad guy' side for judging turf wars. So what if little Judd licked up some ink and puked out a fuzzy ink hair ball. It got on some passing by inkling that got truned into a fuzzy and eventually roll into some water or something. Seeing what the fuzzy ink did to the inkling Little Judd was gonna used that to take down Judd. But little Judd hesitated or didn't work so little Judd throw the fuzzy ink ball away thinking nothing of it which evolved into the mess that's probably going to be the story mode of Splatoon 3 OR Little Judd pulled a Tartar place the fuzzy ink somewhere on purpose with the intent to get the attention of let's say squidbeak splatoon as a way to gather information and possibly test subjects to know what's the most way to take out Judd or why it didn't work on Judd

First of all, it's called Fuzzy Ooze. Second, it's made from a combination of liquid crystals, golden power eggs, and Mr. Grizz's fur, and it has the ability to turn any living creature into a mammal, which is why all the Octarians and Octolings in the Canyon and Alterna are furry
