They were granted permission from Led Zeppelin to perform covers of their songs. Since they don’t like covers, this cover is tops. Heart is the only band that I’m aware of that was given this honor from Jimmy Page himself.

John Bonhams son Jason is playing drums here. It was a total surprise he would be there on purpose. John Bonham and Robert Plant were best friends. Ann and Nancy Wilson were a band called heart. Ann is the singer with the amazing set of pipes. As you can hear--62 at this event and has not lost her vocal power. I get goosebumps listening to this every time.. Crazy on you is a must by them

What a set of pipes on Ann 😱 and at 62yo.. you can really hear the maturity and depth in her voice in that it is, in a word, "Seasoned" 🤷.. absolutely sensational.. the perfect choice to tribute, arguably the greatest rock song of all time by the greatest rockers of all time.. the reaction on the old boys faces say it all!! 🤘🤘

Ann Wilson was 62 when she performed this in 2012. To get a look at her range, go back to "Crazy On You" from 1975 and then most recently, she did a duet with David Draiman on Disturbed's latest album that dropped in November. She is a freaking goddess and rock legend! You may recognize, "Barracuda." Heart has an amazing catalog of music!

Enjoyed your reaction. Heart was formed in 1967 by lead guitarist Roger Fisher and bassist Steve Fossen. They auditioned lead vocalist, Ann Wilson, in 1970 and hired her. Her guitarist sister, Nancy, joined in 1974. They released 4 multiplatinum albums in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and 2010.

Heart's a band, not just her. They are a 70s hard rock band out of Seattle and actually still play concerts occasionally. According to Casey Kasem on American Top 40, Heart's song "Barracuda" is the first heavy metal song with a female vocalist to enter the Billboard Top 40. They've had a million hits but their most notable are "Barracuda", "Crazy on You", "Magic Man", and "Alone".

This is the edited for TV version, there’s a longer full version of their performance that you might want to check out. Ann and Nancy have matching skull rings that they’ve had for a very long time. They were very nervous about this performance because they had been on tour and had to fly up to DC from Florida and only had one rehearsal. They would put their rings together before performances as a sort of good luck charm. Also it was super cold in there, and Nancy had to work to warm up her fingers, and is probably why Ann is wearing her coat.

Heart was a great 70s rock band! They did Zeppelin justice here! Heart is the band name...2 siaters. Zeppelin were being honored...the 3 remaining members were the 3 older men they kept showing. You HAVE TO watch Zeppelin live performances!! OMG...and the drummer used here is Jason Bonham...the late Zeppelin drummer's son!! Also do any Heart song...they were a great rock band!

The guy they keep showing is Robert Plant

The reason Robert Plant teared up was because he was thinking of his best friend John Bonham as he watched Jason John's son playing the same drum kit his father played. Also Robert Plant asked Jason to be with them in the audience to represent his father. But Jason said he'd love to come but he had a gig that night and couldn't get out of. Thats why in the beginning Robert atood up and pointed down at Jason.
