Who is Hugh the Hammer in House of the Dragon? 

Nice video Grease. My feelings about Hugh Hammer are much the same as yours. I'd say that Hugh's plot and the glimpse we get into the lives of the small folk through him has been one of the show's consistent bright spots for me. I agree that the show mentioned Tumbleton for a reason; my thought is that Hugh will go to Dragonstone while his wife takes their daughter to Tumbleton to be with her family, and something will happen to them while they're there and that in turn will open the door to Hugh's later book plot. I don't think it'll be quite as barbaric as history remembers though lol. As it pertains to Ulf, I HATE THE BACKSTORY THEY'VE GIVEN HIM TO EXPLAIN HIS LINEAGE. It's bs. I know the show won't go this route, but for the sake of my sanity I'll choose to believe that Ulf is lying and is actually of Celtigar blood, another Valyrian house that nobody talks about; and that perhaps Ulf crafted a more glorious backstory for himself than he actually has because being a Celtigar bastard isn't as sexy as being a Targaryen bastard. I don't believe we're ever told if House Celtigar were dragonlords or not, but presumably they could've been as they're from Old Valyria. So that's how I'm choosing to believe Ulf can claim a dragon lol. Again, nice video Grease.

So Hugh eventually rides vermithor right? So what is Ulfs importance here?

Hebis so different in the show that it makes you think they rewrote his later storyline which gives me hope the did that with others as well. Personally hoping for Jaces to be rewritten.

Spoilers alert I think they'll find hugh and ulf in the records because in the book hundreds or even thousands died trying and rheanyra didn't care but the show is trying to make her the hero and shifting the blame to daemon or other characters and while it's jace idea but it was sponsored by rheanyra
