I own one. Best bike, of many, that I've had. I'm 6' 2", 225 lbs. Not fat, not skinny and love speed, but want to be comfortable for a couple hundred miles.
@guillaumehabarugira I love the bike. The trotle response is more tame than the 650 I started on with the course. It's a gentle giant until 2500 rpm. Dude if you feel like you can do it, do it. The bike loves counter steering. And does not like sharp corners because of the big rear. Use counter steering. Just put the bike in rain mode and try it out. P.S. when you whash your bike and want to drive of after a wash. Don't give it the "beans", almost had a high side if it wasn't for traction controll. Just REALLY respect the power in high rpm and you will be good. Enjoy
It’s my dream bike. I want one really badly. I have a 2010 Honda VFR1200 and it’s been the best bike I’ve ridden so far. No problems but wanting something more of an art to admire and listen. Rocket 3 is hands down one of a kind and doesn’t look like anything else on the market.
That my bike same year same color, added a screen and crazy sounding exhaust soon to tune it..... Let me tell you they designed this bike with me in mind
Just wait until you ride one with the 23 pounds of exhaust removed and tuned to allow 100% throttle unlike the factory 60% only tune. It is an Incredible bike for someone who wants to be different and Incredibly fast.
its for seasoned riders like me that yawn when riding almost any other bike. i also don’t live near twisty roads anymore so yeah. Install some titanium ground feelers and have fun! Triumph riders rule as HD riders drool !!!
I'm looking at buying one. I'm 5'11 185 and like to go fast but I am pushing 40 so I don't want a sport bike. Also my last bike was a honda valkyrie which is about 150 lbs heavy than the Rocket so I'm used to a bigger bike any way. Just waiting that bank acout to be okay with 25000 usd to go missing.
@@jimanders9971 As you please ! I owned a previous gen x Diavel and it was truly a gem.. Disagreements are welcome 🙏 I hope you are enjoying the triumph.
@@jimanders9971 we don’t need to agree but there is certainly no reason to argue any further over our different tastes. Thank god people like different things and luckily there is a vast variety to match all tastes. No benevolence, no request to scour and there is certainly no need to take my comment so personally at heart. accept difference and a small dose of humor and enjoy your choices without needing any affirmation or conflict with others. That’s how I see it.
Someone who needs an expensive leg warmer? If it had a better passenger seat and windscreen, it could probably be fitted with enough luggage to make it a decent tourer. As it is it's overkill. No point in it going 100 mph if you have to hang on to it like a pole in a hurricane. Cruiser ergonomics just don't lend themselves to going very fast w/o some wind protection and floorboards. It is a nice looking bike though.
a larger windscreen is just a click away. also adding fiber washers to the heat shields make a dramatic leg heat reduction. There is no replacement for displacement and Indian/harley will understand that in about 15 more years
Just had some Bud Light the other day and it was refreshing. I don’t really give a fuck where people advertise, I drink a beer because I like it not because I think people are judging me. Some of us are comfortable in our own skin and don’t need to worry about what other people think.
@@RemboUSMC that position goes to the Boss Hoss. Lol. Thanks for playing along but when you say that it's a heavy bike I read it was only about 700lbs.
