Welcome back to Contemporary Mama and another video on my Whole30 journey! If you missed last week's video I am completing the Whole30 program for the entire month of August along with my husband. Today I am sharing with you what an entire day looks like eating on the Whole30 program. It takes a lot of effort and planning, but the meals that I have been making and enjoying are so tasty and delicious I promise you won't miss any of the dairy, grains, or sugar! I have the recipes linked below if you want to check them out and don't forget to check out last week's whole30 meal prep video and next week I will be sharing my favorite whole30 dinner recipes that I have made!

I had no idea that there was sugar in bacon 🤯. Love the airfryer!! I love seeing your commitment to good tasting food despite Whole30 restrictions!

Think the shrimp dish will be on the menu real soon! I may order the palmini pasta now so we can make this over the weekend! When you make the poppers, I would suggest mixing the chicken up and letting it chill, then roll with wet hands, a Sandra Lee tip from her show on Food Network years ago. Thanks CM!

good advice. I usually do just that when rolling out my meatballs. Next time I may prep earlier in the morning or even the night before so that I have more time.

They say it's more like 50-60 days 😲 while only adding in 1 thing back into your diet at a time, trying to find the food that causes your inflammation, migraines, fatigue, insulin responses (& I have reactive hypoglycemia, so it'll be interesting to see what all gives me a reaction?), any & all food intolerance (some may be small, some bad, some that make you miserable)....so you know "exactly" what you can have in moderation & "exactly" what all to remove from your diet completely....which will add IMPROVEMENT back into my & my husbands lives ❤ but I think everyone has something that their system can't handle or increases their pain, whatever may be 😢 this diet is a BLESSING for all of those with dietary issues ❤

Oh I LOVE your homemade ranch too....thank you!!! You can make your own mayo this way too (with just your approved oil of choice & eggs). And I saw today that Kraft has a new mayo out (avacado oil & farm fresh eggs) & it's under $3 for a regular size jar 😲 but I still prefer ranch the way you make it here ❤

That Kraft Mayo has canola and soybean oil as well as modified food starch and sugar. Not even close to being compliant. I was excited when I first saw it. Then the label spoiled all the fun.

I thought "did she say PANCAKES??....How???" But that's GENIUS!!! I LOVE your creativity ❤ I'm wishing you had made more Whole30 videos 😢 BUT I imagine it's a LOT of repeating a handful of meal ideas??? I'm also GRATEFUL that you mentioned your nut pods, mayo w/ avacado oil (& homemade ranch ❤ can't wait to watch that one 😉) and just ALL the little things that one needs to survive this long experience (a long scientific experiment really 😉)

Thank you so much! I've been noticing that my whole30 videos seem to be getting steady views so I would be happy to make more! Even though I'm not doing the program anymore I still make a lot of Whole30 recipes regularly

I'm sorry I'm commenting as I'm watching 😉 I LOVE the homemade ranch idea. Even after the Whole30, I'll bet it's a whole lot healthier & missing all the preservatives, so I may keep this one over Hidden Valley 😉 ❤

I know they say not to weigh yourself....but may I ask if you know if you lost any weight on the 30?? By eliminating bread, we're both going to drop some hopefully? (My hubby has celiac & I know it's hard for him to try to be gluten free by himself 😢) so I'm hoping our attempt at Whole 30 will be a jumping off point for the changes he desperately needs in his life? ❤

@@beverlytipton9037 I did it in June. OH lost 9 pounds, I dropped 14 which is too much too fast. I had already eliminated most wheat and sugar so was really surprised. I'm doing it again in September and will be weighing once or twice per week as I need to keep any weight loss to not more than 2 pounds per week to keep my Cardiologist happy. It really helped with my pain.

Oh and you have small children to feed too....may I ask if you just made something similar for them for dinner?? (I know our breakfast & lunch will be different from theirs, but dinner?!) A little back story...we help to raise our 3 young grandchildren (our son is a full-time single dad of his, soon to be 8 & 10 year olds & has 50/50 w/ his 2 year old...& he works full-time too)...And we take care of my 82 year old father-in-law, 24/7 too (& he can't live on this super strict diet, any more than the small & developing children either 😉) but some of your meals are 100% different than most any other on RU-vid....And they look absolutely delicious!!!! (Where most looks like a punishment 😢 but I have to keep reminding both of us, there's a POINT to this ordeal!!! Right? Lol & ugh) THANK YOU for your awesome ideas & THANK YOU in advance if you don't mind answering the "do you do 100% different for your little ones?? Or is there a similar thing you do for them??" (W/O the complete elimination I'm sure)

Sorry…my understanding is that pancakes of ANY kind, even with compliant ingredients is NOT allowed. It defeats the purpose of changing habits and redefining our relationship with foods.
