The Oak Ridge Boys are legendary - Home Free has another collaboration with them "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem". They've collaborated with other such legends as Kenny Rogers, Don McLean, Lee Greenwood, Alabama and Charlie Daniels among them. Home Free can adapt to anyone in any genre; they're always respectful to other artists and actively promote other singers (such as Texas Hill and Brooke Eden). This is a great collaboration between Home Free & The Oak Ridge Boys. "Elvira" was a huge hit for The Oak Ridge Boys in 1981. You can see the great respect these 2 groups have for each other. The Oak Ridge Boys are mentors to Home Free & it is like they are passing the baton to a younger version of themselves. They have performed together on the Grand Ole Opry. Adam Rupp's vocal percussion is the best in the business. He can simulate drums & any other sounds perfectly. Home Free is my favorite a cappella group. They are so talented yet very humble guys.

The other with the Oak Ridge Boys used instruments and it was a banger. Loved them back in the 80's.

It seems like the a cappella groups are very collegial. They are all very ready to help each other out when need be. The Oakridge Boys are country icons and you can tell that H F was fan boying out to work with them. It is almost like an older and younger iteration of the same group. No mater what collaboration they do, it all looks like they are having a blast doing it. You mght want to check out their collaboration with another country Icon Kenny Rogers "Children Go Where I Send Thee". They have gotten to sing with quite a few of their favorite artists.

Joe Bonsall is the tenor for The Oaks. Yes, he had/has an amazing voice.

I think Home Free is coming to the UK soon (sometime this year?). This was a huge hit for the Oak Ridge boys back in the 80’s. The Oak Ridge Boys are legends and Home Free are legends in the making. If you really want to see Adam Rupp in all his glory, you should check out his drum solo from 2015 (red, plaid shirt) . It will blow you away and he only gotten better since then. There are many videos of his solos on You Tube, but that particular video showcases his raw talent and skills. This collaboration with the ORB's is fire! Great reaction.

This really gives me the sense of "Home Free Past" meeting "Oak Ridge Boys future". The ORB's bass, Richard Sterban, sang bass for Elvis Presley early in his career. Home Free definitely collaborated with true country legends on this song--and I LOVE this collaboration❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️

The Oak Ridge Boys have been their mentors. Tim growing up want to be Richard Sterban from the Oak Ridge Boys. So getting to sing with him was amazing. Home Free and the Oak Ridge Boys have done many things with each other. Infact the Oak Ridge Boys sang on their Christmas Special a couple of years ago. Truly enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.

I remember where I was and what I was doing the first time I heard this song by the Oak Ridge Boys on the radio and it was and is one of my favorites in all the years since.

You might check out American Pie with the original artist, Don McLean. Don called them up and asked for the collaboration. It's phenomenal. Adam Rupp beat boxes his guts out!

Adam's drum solos are a must-see for appreciating the group's overall sound and vibe. (He was, after all, a founding member of HF.) Yes, it's good to start with the 2015 solo (in red plaid shirt) in the Russell Wolff Productions channel. But of the later (EDM-style) works live, I'd suggest starting with the one in Sioux City 2021 on the LtKernelPanic channel.

The various a capella groups are very supportive of each other. Geoff with this arrangement, Laine with the Butts Medley, Tim working with the other basses on his techniques . . . So, dive in and just start listening to their music. DO NOT listen to Mayday until you really know the guys and their voices

Didn't think Adam had it in him, huh? LMAO My 2 suggestions based on that thought: "Adam Rupp Drum Solo" (he's wearing a red flannel shirt in thumbnail) - just do yourself a favor and watch it. 😉 It was about 8 yrs ago, but it's the cleanest video/sound quality to witness his drumming and DJ stuff. There are newer ones to watch for EDM, etc. He has improved and added tons to his repertoire since the video I pointed you to, but start with that one. 👀 "Wake Me Up" - very early RU-vid video of Home Free from 2014, I think. They did a great job with the whole thing, but watch Adam in particular! Watch his throat as he does his thing...he kills it in this song! Of course, he always does; he's just so good at what he does that it fits INTO the song and doesn't overtake it. 👍😉 He's a consummate professional. I don't think there's anything out of his reach, honestly. He's been voted best by his peers (other beatboxers) more than once. 💯💕 There's another video link I don't have at my fingertips right now, but if I can find it I'll comment again to include it for ya. 👍

Your reaction to Adam's beatboxing reminds me of how I now feel about Mayday. When it first came out, there were several features that made people's jaw drop. Those are still impressive (I won't name them so you can enjoy the surprise), but we have seen/heard those things in videos since, so they are not as much a shock. However, as with this, Adam's beatboxing is remarkable - full, busy but appropriate, and very distinct. I do not see it in your playlist, so I will recommend it when you get a chance.

If I didn’t already know, I’d guess (from that comment) that you haven’t seen any of Adam Rupp’s drum solo videos… that should be next on your HF to do list! May I suggest you start with an older video and then a newer one to see how he has progressed
