The saddest part about this is that its so easy to be single, but it takes effort to be in a relationship (especially when u got issues urself)

One of my issues is that I'm stuck between "focus on yourself and wait for it to come to you" and "you've got to put yourself out there"

I fell in love once. It was sooo unexpected because I always told myself I would never be in a relationship and then BOOM, love. It was messy but felt so real, it made me a better person for sure, it also gave me trust issues lmao. We never got together but we had a strong ass bond. Definitely spiritual. What I LOVE about being in love is that you can see your own potential at some point (if that make sense) Anyways, I'm grateful for it. if you read this I wish you can fall in love too someday! If it already happened, I hope you'll fall in love again.

being single is not a bad thing, and can even be better than being in a relationship. it gives you time to improve yourself and enjoy your hobbies and passions, and I think that is more important than anything.

If both sides of the relationship were happy being single and are actually happier together and continue to grow as a couple and as individuals alike and always try to be better than yesterday, then it's totally worth it!

As a guy in his mid 30s who's never been in a relationship, I said to myself "the hell with it" and focus on building myself and my own empire.

Real reasons why I'm still single: 1. I'm very insecure. 2. I sorta have people issues (including my family). 3. I never feel loved by anybody. 4. My past. 5. Sometimes, relationships take a lot of work. However, I will do all I can to have a serious romance. It's only a matter of time.

I find being alone and single so peaceful and calming.

Being single feels so peaceful and calming, like I have less to worry about. But at the same time, there are times I long for someone who will give me unconditional love and affection.

It’s interesting how all of these are negative things as if being single is problem we need to fix. This is why people feel rushed to be in relationships. Being single should be the norm until you are ready to share your life with someone. But it’s usually the opposite and being single is something most people dread 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you're in your early 20s like me I'd say it's best just to wait for the right person for you. Establish your life first then look for love. Even though I feel lonely I'm trying to accept myself more and just focus on myself so that way I'm working towards just being alone without the loneliness. I’m pretty sure a lot of people want to be in a relationship, just to be with the right person. If you wanna be single well go for it you can do whatever you want. It was really hard for me to be in a relationship due to my mental health but I not giving up on my self. I made so many progress, it the first in my life that I am proud of myself after everything that happen to me. Yes it hard to be in a relationship with so many issues guys just work on it, believe in yourself and something very good will happen to you. You can't love someone else until you love yourself. Even though the quote is true in most cases, sometimes being able to love in general is what you need to begin to love yourself. That's what I found out. Loving someone without loving yourself is very hard but sometimes it's actually easier to love someone else rather than love yourself and what happens is as the relationship keeps going, it stars to break through all the negativeness to a point where you begin to actually like yourself. All I can say is people care for you even though you might think otherwise, you might think you'll never find someone but you will some day, you might think happiness is impossible to achieve but it's never Impossible. That's what I found out and I know that you will too some day.

Some people are naturally happy alone, I guess I am one of them. When you see how peaceful solitude can be, it becomes hard to let others in your life couse you would think that they will still happiness away from you. Learn to develop a good relationship with yourself, I believe u don't need others to be happy. After a heartbreak, I met this girl she has a very good personality and I fell in love with her but the thing is I love a relationship I have with myself. I enjoy being alone, I am an introvert.

Hey, I also just wanted to share this idea for Valentines Day. I know it gets really annoying and saddening when people won't quit bringing it up for people who are single. My idea is that we all take care of ourselves and do things we enjoy on Valentines Day; Take care and love yourself. And I know it gets lonely sometimes, but a big stuffed animal may help with cuddling. It doesn't matter if you're a guy or a fully grown adult, stuffed animals are made for comfort and there's no shame in comforting yourself.

The fear of happines is what hit me. Most of the times I felt scared of where the relationship was going and how close I was being with that person so I cut it off. I have both trust issues, fear of commitment and overall I get scared when people get too close to me. I'm scared of trusting people with what goes in my head and with things that have impacts on my life.

Being Single is significantly better than being in a relationship with someone who has a Dark Triad Personality Disorder...or an abusive addict...or carrying the entire emotional relationship because your partner is on the spectrum...

I'm single because I love the lifestyle. I've had many short and long term relationships and I just don't feel like it, and often go years without one. Life is so simple being single, and so much freedom~!

I already know the answer to that. Ever since my break up a year ago, I've been drowning in constant negativity, depression, and anger. It's caused me to stop putting myself out there. I've become emotionally numb. Sure, I'm on dating apps. But I rarely get matches and even when I do I don't bother messaging the person. I've just given up on dating. It isn't fun for me.

It is hard sometimes to be in a relationship when you are not ready and committed enough to loved and to be hurted at the same time.

Being single is the best lifestyle ever. No drama, no BS, and I'm entirely focused on myself. Being in a relationship sucks in every way. I am always happy. I am only unhappy when in a relationship. Self-love is the best love.

I think this video should be renamed to something along the lines of, "Why You May Have Trouble Maintaining Relationships". The current title insinuates that being in a relationship is an obligation in life, and the reality is not everyone wants or needs one to be happy. I’m a 24 year old guy and I never had a girlfriend, first kiss, sex, or any girl that showed genuine interest in me. I think my problem is that I’m a pessimistic person and after witnessing so many break ups and hearing how guys around my age are struggling in dating, I became reluctant into putting myself into the dating world. Not to mention I have trust issues and I’m starting to develop a cynical attitude towards love and human companionship. All I know is that everyone is out for themselves and everyone is two faced so I never trust whatever they tell me is genuine. Even then when they show me their true selves, I always end up not liking it anyways. In summary, I guess my problem is that I’m cynical, have trust issues, and have high standards. Yet, part of me still yearns to be in a relationship. I’m still trying to figure out what love means and if it’s even possible.The whole concept of it is a mystery to me at this point.

I’m dealing with most of these now. My ex is separated and is going through a divorce where idk how long that will take. My previous relationships and childhood trauma have made me not trust anyone, including family members I should. I don’t think highly of myself but am getting better with that. Most importantly, saying my views on love are negative is a polite way to describing it. I relate to almost everything in this video minus the independence part. I haven’t been perfect in the past but I have learned from past mistakes and my standards are more realistic these days.

I love being single. You can focus on yourself with no one around to bother you, little to no drama, you can do whatever you want whenever you want, and many other benefits I don’t feel like typing.

I’m happily single because I don’t wanna waste my time and energy to the wrong person where there’s no future. With my past experiences, I’ve realised it takes me quite a long time like 2-3 years to move on or to completely get out of it mentally and emotionally. So I don’t wanna waste my time on searching or going for dates, I’d rather find my interests and hobbies instead. You have to be 100% ok on your own before you can have a healthy relationship. If you depend on them for your happiness it will only drive them away.

I rarely catch deep enough feelings to think I’m in actual love, but whenever I have it was for someone I shouldn’t or couldn’t have. Therefore I remain single because I don’t believe in wasting my time with the wrong person anymore or settling just to not be single.

Having a broken and corrupted heart is one fo my issues, but the more I felt the more I've realized that my heart chooses the right person.

There is nothing wrong about be single. Actually, what's wrong is to have convinced yourself that you need to be in a relationship to be happy. Relationships with the people around us are important, but the relationship we have with ourselves is significant.💛
