Breaking Down the Costs of Boelens Pythons *Where do Boelens Pythons Babies come from? *Adding More Basin Emeralds to My Group *Specialty Enclosure Design Perches
Great video! So nice to see Mr. Mice Clay again! Missed that guy. Also, very happy to see the truth about Boelen’s being allegedly exposed for once. HAha glad I wasn’t drinking during this video. I’d be toasted at work!?
Beautiful animals man. I'm a big boa guy (locality boas mostly) but Boelans really are up there in beauty and just how amazing they are. It's unfortunate their habitat is being destroyed etc. I wonder if any info DM Exotics has any insight on the topic living in SE Asia importing. I think he works mostly with Colubrids but still.
You are confusing the geography of the island of New Guinea. It is split into a West papua (Irish jaya or Indonesian papua) which is a province of Indonesia. The East part of the island is Papua New Guinea and it’s own country. Boelens that are collected are from the west Papuan side and go to Jakarta etc. They are not being being smuggled across international borders to get to the snake farms. No snakes are coming from Papua New Guinea (eastern half of the island of New Guinea). Papua New Guinea has a strict ban on export of wildlife unlike Indonesia.
I looked at your basins on morph market Gary and I must admit I was suprised by how reasonably priced they were for what was obviously top quality basins. Here in the UK they’re quite a bit more expensive. Anyway good luck raising up and breeding the ones you held back buddy.
Awesome video Gary love the boelens I get the high price tags but I like what you said at the beginning I would love to have one at least but they really do need a good bit of space from what I understand and I definitely will break out this video if I need a new drinking game lol
Gary you were letting the New Jersey in you out there. Or Mr Miceclay was. You need to watch that Miceclay guy Gary. I hear he’s one extremely shady individual.
Thanks Gary, it is kind of how I imagine things. I feel very blessed to have a pair to grow on having tried for many years to get hold of some in the UK. There are quite a few people working with them, they aren't on social media however so go a bit under the radar. I enjoy the channel - mainly as we like the same snakes!
I am lucky to have a wild caught White Lipped and a pair of captive bred Bismarcks. Had I known the WLP was wild I may never have bought. He was edgy and nervous and would musk originally but now very tolerant.
Controversial! So they don’t occur at all on the Indonesian Papuan side? ? Given the possible altitude considerations, is there not an argument to support the economic development of (West) Papua and Papua New Guinea to better conserve and preserve the natural habitat? I sometimes question the longer term viability and stability of Western economies in the future, including that of our captive bred exotics…… Controversies aside, what a beautiful, precious and awe inspiring species 🥰
When i was in SE Asia, such as Indonesia. Sometimes, I'd get off the plane, and the crowds would shuffle along . Next thing I'd know, I was standing in the next country wondering if I somehow skipped through customs on accident. The security and airports and entering these countries is 3rd world. It's nothing like Western airports or even capital city airports. If you had the knowledge of which airports you used or you pay some bribes along the way then shit, maybe I should do this. Bribes is how the world turns in these places.
Yeah no. I don't for one minute believe that the half naked bone through the nose native Papuaian collecting hatchlings in the jungle, is getting paid $500 per hatchling. A bag of rice per hatchling I can believe. Especially in country where the natives living in jungle villages have no running water or electricity and are surviving on less than a dollar per day.
I love your swagger and confidence Fabio! Here however are two quick fun facts: 1. I used to think the very same thing as you, so we're totally "on the same page"! 2. We were both (very)wrong. Thanks for watching!
So what you’re basically saying I will never own one. Lol They are beautiful animals I’ve seen them at Alligator Adventure in Myrtle, I also got some footage of a false water cobra trying to rape another, in our world aggravated sexual assault is what an attorney could get it dropped to but I’m rambling
On the video of Westwood acres !? Quick question .. what happens to the racks that holds the shoe boxes ? Does that stuff just stay ? Does it belong to someone ? Or is it all gone ?
