As one who certainly falls in the category of blue-collar Christian, there is much in our blue-collar industry that could be blessed by men who stand for The LORD, The Gospel, and The Authority of the word of God. The fields are white ready for harvest.

Our Church in the suburbs if Philly was not only influenced by Woke aspects of Acts 29 , but our Pastor was in direct contact with Eric Mason and Ephiphany fellowship without that being known to our session and other deacons and elders. It had a negative effect on the Church. These guys are talking about something significant back in 2020-2022. Keep up the good fight.

I am SPEAKING GENERALLY, but I think it’s a matter of “Big Eva” churches being in areas of higher concentrations of wealth/upper middle class suburbs, and these people tend to be very left leaning in both social views as well as theology. I do not want to talk politics, but there has been a very noteworthy political realignment over the past 8 or 9 years in that now lower income people are now the conservatives, & wealthy people are now the liberals (again, this is a generalization). Now obviously, it’s not to say that a really big church is by virtue a bad church. There are lots of doctrinally sound big churches. Big Eva has a deeper meaning than simply size. When I hear the term “Big Eva”, I think the laser lights, the fog machine, the make pretend pastor dressed up like an early 90s teenager, the avoiding any “hot topics”, the compromising, etc.

Professor E. Michael Jones wrote a book about scary movies titled "Monsters from the Id," in which he said that Jesus shed His blood for us so we could have eternal life, whilst Dracula sucks our blood so he can have eternal life. I thought that was a funny way to put it.

I think the people who follow the JDG types are compromised by relativism. Who are we to say anything is really right or wrong. Also the sacred/secular divide is huge and plays a big part in this. That is a secular thing. It doesn't have anything to do with my faith.

I do know some Christians who used to believe stupid things, too, and learned how to admit it. They called themselves “Calvinists,” and they fell for some sort of contrived, bizarre anti-Gospel that relegated the whole human race in having no choice in accepting the Gospel, but were pre-wired (or pre-screwed, if you will) to damnation and hell, or Salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ. These poor boobs held infantile, unnuanced understandings of words like sovereignty and omnipotence - any many of them have somehow been trained to deceptively recruit people to these beliefs by avoiding using the word Calvinism until the can spread this pernicious infection. Happily, there’s an antidote - God’s word the Bible, which kills this virus by distributing the Gospel so widely throughout itself that if you read it widely, instead of just selected proof texts, you get a clearer, more obvious view of the Gospel. And you can’t necessarily spot these people by cringy affectations in their apparel and facial hair.

Still no real explanation. It seems like another coin phrase, like WHO? exactly...Methodists?, Presbyterians?, Non denominational? ALL of them? I am sorry I have tried to watch these guys' videos and I feel something is a tad off. RC Sproul, Jack Hibbs, Voddie Baucham say . "don't take my word for it, GO READ YOUR BIBLE for yourself" check the truth.

Constructive criticism here guys, y’all spoke in generalities and failed to reference any scripture. I now I have no idea what you stand for. You left me waiting and waiting for something of substance - some real meat. This was a very superficial discussion using lots of inside baseball references to people I do not know. You need to clearly state what the issue is and back up your position with scripture. We can handle the truth 😊

Can we stop valorizing the term blue collar? Half of the guys who call themselves blue collar in this sphere are either in out right professions(like being a pastor) or work in office jobs or engineering fields. You're just not elites.

I didn't interpret it as them valorizing "blue collar". I heard them saying, "We need to stop looking down on blue collar". Also, the term, in our digital world, has changed a bit. Maybe more clarity could have been offered, but the context of the conversation was "elites have to stop looking down on everyday Joe, who wants to work and provide for his family."

Blue collar refers to people specifically working the ‘dirty’ jobs. Plumbers, electricians, garbage men, mail men, sewage workers, etc. To say they are looked down on is an understatement.
