Wow I scrolled down to leave a comment hoping to get his thoughts on the way I described the urge to use as holding your breath till every part of you is screaming to breath and that’s how it feels.. But then to find out someone like Ryan past away so suddenly and unexpectedly really hits you like a freight train. I never knew Ryan, this was the second video I ever watched. (I plan to watch them all) but why, how does this make sense? How can a “higher” power just take him out of the game like that!??!!? I am beyond sure he touched so many people... probably at some of there lowest points. He help people like me to see that light at the end of the tunnel. But it feels like that light was the train bearing down on you/me! I have been thinking about doing this same type of page! I have always loved telling my story about coming from rock bottom sleeping in an abandoned shed for years to having a wonderful life filled with happiness I thought was gone forever. I went from nothing to owning a business and having a beautiful wife and children. I was truly hoping that someone like Ryan could help guide me into that place in life where I get to help others climb out of the hole they kept digging. I hope his family is proud of him, and they know how many lives he touched, and even SAVED! You will never be forgotten R.I.P.

Thank you so much for the videos. They helped me stay sane going through methadone withdrawal. I wish I would have thought to make video diaries to help others also. I quit methadone cold turkey at 170 mgs. It was scary at times that's for sure but with the help of your videos I am at day 25 clean and sober. I thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! I know there will be more to come but I made it through the hard part. If I can anyone can!! It was my worst fear to withdrawal from methadone and now it's OVER.

Opioid with draw is like the worse flu you ever had but times 100 & with the flu you sleep but going threw opioid with draw sleep never comes.Heroin & Oxi-contin with draw last 3-5 days tops & is very very intense.Methadone with draw is not as intense but seems like it will never go away & can last up to 1-2 months & could take up to a year before you are back to normal mentally & physically.Have been on methadone for 17 years & clean in all that time,well except the methadone part,however methadone did give me my life back.I also take methadone for pain so am a lifer.

3-5 days? Jeez, the one time I went through withdrawal (because someone stole my script half way through the month), I went through hell for 7 days before I was due to get my scripts refilled. And day 7 was no better than day one. In fact it was probably worse because I was so freakin wiped out by then. I'm afraid to ever try to stop entirely cuz it seems like the withdrawals will just go on forever.

@@scalemiesteryes, but you didn't chose to CT you were thrown into it against your will. It's different when you can honestly tell yourself I'm done, I don't want this anymore. You'll grit your teeth and fight for your life bc you genuinely do not want it anymore. You didnt get to make that decision someone made it for you, ofc your withdrawal was horrific. I know this is 5years old but how are you now man I hope you're well 🙏💙

Hey Randy, its Randy. good name, lol. I just wanted to know how u r doing. I've been doing opiates for 23 years, with my highest tolerance being 2400mg of oxycodone a day, and I'm just about off from tapering over a year. I hope u made it, and if u need to talk, hit me up ;)
@lightisgreaterthandarkness
@lightisgreaterthandarkness 8 лет назад
+Randall Piedmonte HOLY SHIT MAN! 2,400mg's of oxy in ONE DAY!? How did you even get a hold of that, let alone not die from it? I thought I was up there in my hard day's (360mg/day). Mine is more like baby aspirin compared to you. I can't imagine a cold turkey from 2,400mg's. I think that amount could very well kill you. Are you doing ok with PAWS? I can never get past 2 months before I completely break down emotionally and want to die.
@randallpiedmonte5395
@randallpiedmonte5395 8 лет назад
+Light is greater than darkness I had a script for 450 80s a day and bought the rest. worked 2 jobs just to maintain my habit. I definitely didn't go cold turkey, I've been tapering for 3 years, I'm down to 90mg a day through my doc. I've had such a horrible time with this too. its amazing how high you can get your tolerance, I should be dead, God must have a plan
@randallpiedmonte5395

+Light is greater than darkness I meant 450 80s a month, 15 a day. I have some major medical issues
@lightisgreaterthandarkness
@lightisgreaterthandarkness 8 лет назад
+Randall Piedmonte That is definit3ly by far the most oxy I've ever heard anyone take... I'm stunned. I've tapered also down to 60mg/day. I can go lower and have been completely clean before many, many times. I just can't seem to shake the PAWS. I'm also medical(L-4+L-5, C-3+C-4 bulging discs)(sciatica nerve damage)(systemic inflammatory disease). Yeah, I get the medical aspect. I can't see myself staying off even though part of me desperately wants to. It's the medical aspect, pain. But also... I can't hide the truth. I'm in love with opioids. The hit, the rush, the seduction... I melt into my own paradise in the Bahamas of my mind. It sweeps me away and soothes every nasty thing this life throws at me. It's a romance with a plant that bleeds joy. Even the pain of addiction and withdrawal is worth the wait for when it takes over again... I cannot lie, it is both one of the greatest and one of the worst things that happened to me. It's so hard. Once you've opened that door to the greatest joy available, you can't forget what it feels like...

I feel so bad for the addicts.. I thank God every day this didn't happen to me.. pain pills never gave me a good feeling.. I did make the mistake of taking the meds every day for years.. once I finally was able to taper off I won't take them more than 3 days a week. I just couldn't fathom that If I took less than what was prescribed I would become dependent.. being a full blown addict must be hell. I pray for you guys..

The way I describe addiction to a non addict. It's like you are incredibly thirsty in the heat and you don't have water, all you want is water everything else is irrelevant the only difference with addiction is the thirst never goes away even after u get a drink.

@@nellagang6367 that ain't no shit...I wish they had withdrawal pill to give people who think it's easy. People would have a lot more compassion and empathy for those going through it. I was one of those people at one time...then I got hurt (l5 s1 herniation) and took oxy for pain and depression...stayed on them way too long and played hell getting free. Ruined me. Broke my spirit and killed my happiness for months... It can be done though and you can do it. Moment to moment stay strong and you will create a new normal.
