Today is day 14 for me, from suboxone..was on it for 4 years, after an extensive 2 years of a pain pill addiction! I been working since day 1, everyday I'm outside of my comfort zone, and everyday I'm proud to have made to the end of the day! I this is so much easier when your mind is ready, and you welcome the pain ahead! Do not sit still!!! Keep doing things, and know it gets better!

Hi Ryan, this man's letter sounds almost like me except I am a woman and my family doesn't know about my drug addiction. I am on day 10 clean of oxy use of over 6 years. I liked when he said the last one is the last one. Im still having a few physical withdrawal stuff, but I def feel my emotions are raw and are scaring me. Im not crying, I feel anxiety, anxiousness. I am praying hard and spoke to my priest for support. Your videos , which i randomly stumbled upon, are really a great help. Thanks so much for all you are doing. Keep making the videos, I told my priest about you and he said he would pray for you and your mission also . Love Christine

Ryan thank you so much for the time and effort you put into your mission. You have helped more people than you know. Once again I am watching your videos sober and over "the hump" It only gets better from here. Your passion to help others is a gift. Keep up the good work. Every time I get weak i look in the mirror and ask myself what are you made of?! What the F are you made of! Keep up the good fight!

Those emotions feel so creepy to me, I don’t know how else to explain the feeling, but it almost seems like I’m in a creepy movie or something. I can’t even stand to be in the house on a sunny day, hearing all of the going’s on in the neighborhood, as I’m hiding in my room, not knowing what I’m even interested in. Life feels so frightening, and the things that entertain people seem so boring (watching football? Doing yard work?). I’m remembering now why I turned to using opiates in the first place, life was so boring. I’m now trapped in methadone treatment, I feel nothing, I’m totally isolated socially, and I’m powerless to pull myself out of this place that I find myself in. At the same time I’m amazed at the natural world. I find it spiritual & beautiful. I have so much guilt for having wasted my life, but I’m too afraid to change, that’s the cold truth 🥶 I’m not actually living, just waiting to die.

Thank you Ryan for doing this for all of us. I went cold turkey six days ago and it is getting a little bit better. First days were really shit. But now the mental thing is getting the better of me. Constant crying and all that crazy stuff. Sometimes i think i get crazy, but i try to stay calm. Can you give some advice to a brother in the Netherlands? Thanks anyway for doing this videos, they really make a difference. Have a good day and greetings.

Love your videos even though I am not completely sober they still help keep it up. But this is true the thing that brings me back to drugs is the memories the flashbacks Its hard for me to deal with them and cope and it dosent help that I have PTSD so it's makes it all the worse but little by little am learning to let go of the past and not let it consume me i know one day I'll be free from these tormenting memories.

I canot stop taking anti-depressants as I am diagonised with major depression since 2 years and going cold turkey on anti-depressants is not good in my case .. so you are not alone .. in case you doctor go to cold turkey .. I wish you good luck .. I am off tramadol since 11 days and withdrawals are hard and dual depression is serious situation .. so check with your doctor about tapering

I'm a recovering alcoholic and I finally had my kids over at my own place for the first time in four years since my rock bottom. It broke my heart to let my kids go back to mom. My 6 year old daughter especially. Had to drink a bit to calm those emotions. I know I know it's not healthy to do that. I haven't felt this strongly in a long time. I'll be ok though. One day at a time. Edit* no I didn't drink when I had my kids. I guess I'm dealing with these strong emotions alone.

My girl of 3 years assumed I gave up on us when I was in the process of getting clean. She knew what I was doing. I didn't really contact her for a few weeks and Mabey I should have. Mabey it's my fault she gave up. But she's already dating a coworker and posting pics on FB and it's been Mabey a month or a little over. It sucks because we both strived to get clean when I finally was able to she gave up. I did t imagin this happening when I finally got clean. It hurts u know
