Word of advice for any non Americans, dont just assume all Americans are from LA, Miami, and Texas. It's a common thing I see expressed by English people when they describe us. The vast majority of American people aren't gun toting, clout obsessed goblins. But people get their pov from the media and all of a sudden are experts on another country's people. This goes both ways
@hansmemling2311

@MrShiftySide For sure man. That’s one of the disadvantages that come with being a global super power that has a culture ( Hollywood and music ) that’s eagerly consumed all over the globe: you are often in the conversation and not always for the better. It’s a blessing and a curse really. I love my American brothers but even I can’t help exaggerate or stereotype your culture because it’s all happening so far away from me. I think if I lived closer to it it would all normalise and become less of a cartoon.

I’m from Philly but went to University in East London. I remember the first time I saw a traffic violation and saw the driver get out the car, I thought it was getting ready to go down. When I looked to see if the cop was getting his gun out, I was blown away when someone told me they don’t carry guns. Being naive, I was like “ how do they enforce the law without a gun😳?” I’ve been overseas for 19 years and will NEVER move back to America cuz their societies are destroyed and they are in denial. Americans are not hospitable and you realize when you travel. You can go to someone’s house and they don’t lay out food and drink for you. It’s not a thing.

I’m American, but whenever I hear about other people being around guns and experiencing gun violence, its scary to me because I’ve never had this experience growing up. I only see all the crazy stuff on tv. It feels like two different sides of the same country because I’ve never seen a gun, never heard gunshots, and none of my friends or family own guns. But I think this is most likely due to me being from a small city. When I moved to a bigger city for college, I definitely noticed a lot of guns. I was way more cautious and on edge in the new city. Whenever I went back home, I felt more relaxed and not anxious all the time. There tends to be more crime in bigger cities and in the U.S. that means more people strapped.

We call these places the “hood.” Whether you’re actually in the real project buildings or at a club where many people from the frequent with. This includes trailer parks and bars as well. Rough ola es that require that level of protection. Not saying it’s right but it’s apart of culture that had to happen to get away from the English culture back in the day. It’s truly in our roots. I’m American and from Texas at that. You need to have a gun on you if your in areas or doing things in areas where people need to have a gun to be safe from others with guns.

Our childhood friend got caught in a crossfire 3 years ago, was shot 14 times and luckily survived. But he now makes jokes about it & says he can finally become a rapper 😂 Honestly, I think the violence is just so commonplace we can’t spend all of our mental energy constantly worrying about. If we did, we wouldn’t be able to go about living life and functioning everyday. I’m a supporter of responsible gun owning, especially as a woman. Tbh, you kind of have to be armed. I'm an American who grew up with the best of both worlds in between the U.S and U.K. My Great Grandparents on my late Mom's side hailed from the north-eastern U.S specifically UpState Western New York which is a completely different world in comparison to that of downstate N.Y.C now. What I'm trying to say here is, the political landscape to a certain extent is on the other side of the spectrum, they tend to lean towards the right up in those parts unlike downstate N.Y.C which historically speaking has forever leaned left minus the borough of Staten Island which hasn't gone for a left leaning President since the 1960's etc. Anyway that's not the point, my point is UpState New York isn't just full of wineries, breweries and cider orchards now! people are pretty trigger happy up in those parts especially up by the State line with neighbouring Vermont which is considered even more trigger happy, long story short both are considered a hunters paradise. Right wing politicians tend to do well up in those parts primarily as a result of their stance and rhetoric on firearms usage and ownership etc. Even my own Great Grandparents who where both the children of Scottish born immigrants owned firearms that where used primarily for hunting purposes and hunting purposes only, they lived in a rural part of UpState Western New York so it kind of made sense for them to pack a little heat now. Their political beliefs where also on the right but in a more traditional sense of the word if that makes sense now especially given the climate today and what was created almost ten years ago now if you catch my drift. Last year a young woman was shot and killed by a much older man in rural UpState New York up by the State line with Vermont after she mistakenly turned into his drive way whilst searching for a friend's house etc, the shooter has been jailed for a few years I believe. This is the reality in the U.S, blue left wing Liberal States tend to have to very tough measures when it comes to firearms(examples of this would be New York,Illinois, California etc), whereas red right wing Conservative States tend to have very relaxed measures when it comes to firearms, examples of this would be Florida,Texas etc. As a long time viewer and subscriber to Beta Squad, I totally agree with as well as respect Filly's point, he hit the nail on the head! so many truths he dropped there. Every major city and town all throughout the U.S have deep underlying internal problems that need addressing there's no doubt about that, some more than others but in my opinion it's the red right leaning States that have the most issues though, they are the loudest against the Federal government whilst depending on them the most, like seriously you can't make it up. This is a deeply enshrined cultural issue/thing.

I have lived in different cities in the USA for over 15 years and have never seen a gun in my life. A lot has to do with the circles you move with. It’s not as prevalent as they make it sound. What I find interesting is them 2 openly speak wonders of Qatar and other oppressive countries.

Because those places are just as good as America bro. Fine I'll believe you've never seen a gun even though I visited California for 6 weeks and saw multiple guns 🤷‍♂️ What you call oppressive another person wouldn't. What you call freedoms other people don't want, they do not see the benefit. I'm all for rights I used to think like you. But the choice to have freedom to have your daughter go out half dressed drink alcohol then try and come home and risk being a victim of sexual assault? Brilliant. Those "oppressive" countries don't have the same safety worries we have over here. So you can feel sorry for their oppressed life but they feel sorry for our capitalistic materialistic sexualised life. Just Don't try and make out your better. Just accept difference in opinion live your life and don't just eat what people tell you. Go to quatar yourself first then talk.

@@user-qk7tp3wk9f I never put down Qatar, I called it an oppressive country, which it is. If you can be put in jail for being homosexual, then yes, you can be called oppressive. Just like I can say the USA has a big gun problem, you should be able to admit issues as well within those oppressive countries. I don’t feel sorry for anyone either, every place has its pros and cons. The USA is far from perfect. But to pretend that countries like Qatar limit the rights of women (or LGBTQ for that matter) only to how they dress, it is being either naive or deceitful. I feel that you can educate your kids to know how to behave in public, dress appropriately, etc without having to resort to extreme measures.

@@user-qk7tp3wk9fNigga you’re talking like a person who bought an airBNB in either LA, NY, or Miami. That’s not real America. Your daughters are safe in 97% of the country. Qatar is a country that pays whoever visits them which is the only reason they ever made the trip out there.

as someone from the Bronx who livee in Atlanta. it took some time to get used to kids carrying guns in the open. we always had guns in NYC but you get 3 years mandatory for an illegal gun. out here everyone has a gun. ,my door dash drivers open carry with extended mags on em.

Why do they think we only eat chicfila, wingstop, McDonalds. We eat that maybe once a couple months as a cheat meal or something. Go to the grocery store and cook a meal like a normal person
