thats because of a few things: -troops dont have as good splash as defenses so swarms are more reliable -most troops ignore defensive troops until already taking damage from them, meaning defense troops are encouraged to focus on damage instead of durability overall feel like the first point is the most important: defensive archers dont have to fear traps, mortars, or scattershots anymore, all things that can pulverize archers as collateral damage while wizards can endure such attacks
@@thorveim1174 Moreover the defending troop usually come and stand in line for defending. As such the only reliable way of fighting a battalion of them is either through poison, valkyrie, electro titan ( due to large splash area around them ) or super wizard, electro dragon ( using the same logic as super wizard but has limited target ) ( Not super archer, bowler as they usually make a line that perpendicular to your advancing troop which they are not suitable for )
I mean. the main reason is that Wizards have always been perfectly balance. They are too hard to be use effectively by casuals except for Gi/Go Wi as they have the proper tankage. Nowadays, Pro players just use it as funneling fodder as baby Dragons can get nuked easily by a Seeking Air Mine
i feel like a lot of the OG troops in COC are kind of a good runner up for being the faces of COC because of how iconic they are like the giant, the archer, golem, dragon, hog rider, witch, wall breaker, etc. their designs are so wacky from one to the other yet they fit perfectly together, i think thats what really makes them iconic
@@MuffinsGamingCorner nope there was a bug with miner at launch which made the defensive buildings attack the miner even when he was underground and he cant get hurt while he's underground so this bug made him unintentionally stronger.
what ive notices that wizards were indeed a main Troop ar lower townhall but at towhhalls 13-15 they dont work even as a funneling troop, they just need a lot od hits to destroy the building and relatively no health. It's way better to use Yeit instead of them, even tho they take too much space. So you will be sure that funneling is 100% done and u dont even have to worry about their death. Now I'd say they just like a clean up troop..
It is also to note that you literally start with them so get to use them for 99% of the game except town halls 2-4 if you used all of the wizards on the first attack
