Dan I have a question for you, do you believe that people should simply not go to college and learn what you need independently, or do you believe that people should evaluate college as an investment; time and money to develop a skillset that you need or at least believe you need to be successful in whatever field you choose? For example I believe business degrees to be crap, I say that because I feel like learning 'business' in an academic setting is like trying to learn how to play a sport in a lecture hall, it doesn't work, but what about something like Engineering or Science? Assuming that this is what you want to do, is it not preferable that a person should then go to college with the mindset that you are going there to develop a skillset in order to create superior value than can be done without that skillset? For example the hedge fund manager Jim Simons, he's an extremely accomplished mathematician who ended up using that skillset to develop his investment business and build a net worth >$20 Billion.

When I was younger, I never dared to use any swearing word, in any context. I was just too polite, too educated into fitting in the system, and you know, good people don't swear. It's only in my graduate studies (I know right - thankfully it wasn't too expensive in my country) that I came to acknowledge that, whether people swear or not it just does not matter. Actually, I see it now, so many things in society's ideals on what you should do not only don't matter, but lead to a poor life someone else wants for you. Only personal fulfillment, and actions leading to results do. So I interpret that as just fucking liberating. Fun thing, assuming about $1 missed monetization per 1000 views (best grosstimation I could find so far), with around 37M total views on Dan's channel, that's about 37k$. After 4 YEARS of work growing this channel. For high quality videos. (heck, what an incredible density of actual valuable, *concrete* knowledge in these!) No wonder he swears lol! Which makes me think Dan is really generous making this gold mine free for all to pick into. Or maybe it's part of that "PMP" concept I've heard in another video (still new to this channel). Or perhaps both :)
