Sure is a massive game. Over 100gb and now I’m having to do a 20.85gb update on the Series X. Looks even better than Forza 4 and I thought that was beautiful. Love your channel!
I don't think you should add gamepass in the conclusion. Every game is gamepass if you have a gamepass, but unfortunately not all countries have an official gamepass support yet.
One of the very few games I could play on gamepass but buying the ultimate edition for. What's beautiful about Horizon is you don't have to be a car nut and know the ins and outs of a car to enjoy it. You pick it up and play and enjoy the experience. It's as deep as you want it to be.
@@SamuraiSpartan6 well you can play 2 or 3 days early over the weekend if buy instead of wait for gamepass but still seems like a waste of money to not just wait.
@@isaacpearce6843 How? I have Game Pass Ultimate and the game is pre-installed but Premium Edition is showing as £84.99 and the DLC for the games only shows the map packs. The Expansions bundle is £24.29 with Game Pass, VIP Membership is £13.49, the Welcome Pack is £3.59 and the Treasure map is £2.24. I want to upgrade the Game Pass Edition if possible.

I never would have played Horizon 4 if not for Game Pass. I was so pleasantly surprised by that game that I went on to buy it and the DLC. I'm glad that Microsoft has learned that letting consumers try a product before buying it results in sales. This time around I'm a day-one preorderer.
@@Noah_7s, it's a form of support. I firmly believe in putting my money where my mouth is. I bought The Ascent too, which is also on Game Pass. The same is true for No Man's Sky. When a developer has shown that they can not only succeed, but right their wrongs, it's important to reward that. Forza, The Ascent, and No Man's Sky are all niche games which a much narrower audience. I don't want games like this to stop being made. And, I truly believe Game Pass is the future of demos and one of the best ways to learn if you love something before buying it.
@God Trojan if you have gamepass, you don't have to worry about FH5 releasing in a broken mess, since you can easily move on to another game without stressing that you just waste $80 on it.
How many months you can play FH5 on gamepass? If I pay for gamepass for 1month, I'll get extra 7 month free gamepass. So can I able to play for 8 months?
The king must not be denied! I'm always down for a new Horizon game because of the incredible quality each entry is. The music, open world, aesthetic, I love it all.
It's nothing like driving around in Mexico. If you aren't encountering Cartel owned Toll Booths on the highways every 30 minutes or running into armed road stops and being extorted to be let through every hour or so outside of the major cities, or accidentally coming across Drug Plantations in the jungles and grasslands and being shot at as a result or being mistaken for a bad guy by a desperate, undertrained over armed Militia of Avacado Farmers who are protecting their crops from the cartels who are trying to steal their crop AFTER charging them protection money for the season in the 10's to 100's of thousands of dollars then it's NOTHING like driving around in Mexico.
Guys if it’s possible save a couple bucks and get a wheel like the G series from Logitech with the shifter and then spend $80 on a wheel stand. It’s so much fun and really worth it. Wheels are really cool these days and this is the game for it.
Just got a wheel, shifter and stand for my dad, hes been loving it, playing Forza Motorsport 7, Dirt Rally 2.0 and Forza Horizon 4 till Horizon 5 drops
Can you set it up easily though? I had a nightmare trying to get my wheel set up with 4, I tried everything. It was almost like there was too many settings that it just took forever, and then I would change the car and be back to setting it up again. Hopefully there are some easy setup options. :))))
A great game but its image quality isn't as ultra clean as I had hoped. It's not Gears 5 clean, or RDR2 clean, meaning that there's aliasing, shimmering on things in the game world like fences, roofs of buildings, objects in general, even some cars on the back have aliasing, foliage can look rather grainy too. I can imagine it not being as visible on a smaller screen but with 2m away from a 65 inch it absolutely stands out. Apparently it's because of their anti aliasing tech.

Got into Forza with Horizon 3, and I think it pulled me into car culture in general. Loved 4 and have played a good amount of Motorsport here and there too. Nice to finally have basically the only game that could tear me away from Horizon 4 for my driving fix after all these years!
I honestly describe it more as a driving game than a racing game. The way you can chill in the open world, play fun activities with friends and random strangers, and the difficulty sliders being super forgiving and detailed for when you do go racing means you don't have to be a racing game enthusiast at all to enjoy the Horizon franchise.
@@WestCoastWesley eh, I am more into racing games and have some of them but Forza 4 was not good for me and Forza 5 was so bad that I only played it for 10 minutes.
I'm not a big racing game fan but between this and Grand Turismo 7 that's coming out . Both these will be all I need to keep me busy when I just want to chill and race.

@@austenfairbanks5604 you can buy springs for most sets by the way. Have a G27 setup and changing the springs changed my mind when considering buying the newer setup. Worth a quick google search
They said in Forza 5 that both Quality and Performance mode is in 4K, performance doesn’t drop resolution unless you’re meaning it’s Dynamic 4K which makes sense, other than that I heard they just lowered graphical setting a bit to make it run better but still can’t wait to play it in either mode, Looks amazing and so much fun! Love your vids (Edit) performance mode is in 4K dynamic but the lowest the resolution goes is 1600p so still really good
I've never been a die hard racing gamer. I got into horizon 4 way late into the game and fell in love with it. Refused to buy any dlc because by the time I got into it horizon 5 was announced. I will be investing in this. Great review as always man.
I mainly want to play this because this will be the same team that is working on the newest fable game. And I would just like to see what they can do. I know it’s going to be two totally different genres of games, but it intrigues me to see where they excel at and how that could be brought possibly into fable

I can't wait for it! Forza games, both Motorsport and Horizon never disappointed. They managed to create a whole new tier for racing games. Especially Horizon became like GTA of racing games at this point.
What's the point of a racing game when multiplayer sucks? Can't choose car classes , no leaderboards, long waiting times, no voting for car class or track, can't even change assists when lobby changes from A class to S2 class. Going back to Wreckfest.

I was never a big driving fan, but with gamepass I tried horizon 4 and loved it. Gamepass and Microsoft is the best thing ever. Now I can buy a steering wheel!

Aside from some changes, this is still the same Forza Horizon that people have come to know and love since the original title that came out for the Xbox 360 back in 2012. There is something inherently satisfying and relaxing when it comes to driving around in an open world and just soaking in and admiring the lush, vibrant and gorgeous visuals. As much as I enjoy the racing that's present in the Forza games, there are times when I love to drive around and get immersed in the beautiful environments that the titles have to offer. Forza Horizon 5 does so really well. Unfortunately, I don't have an Xbox One Series X yet. At least, I have the older titles to hold me over until I'm able to find one. Otherwise, thanks as always Karak for another honest, detailed and unbiased review. I really appreciate the hard work!
Glad you spoke about how it plays with a wheel. I sort of don’t want to buy any racers now, unless I can play them on my wheel setup. Some of the more arcade ones feel terrible though. The fact this is alright, means it’ll be a buy! Great review as always.
Only thing missing for me are bumpier roads. I'd love to have the car bounce arround a bit more and have the suspension settings matter on different roads. Still can't wait to play this though
If you're xbox one, turns on with no picture and/or install loop, especially the OG, and pronounced as dead, but you have an external HDD, unplug the xHDD, the go through loop. It will update and function. Yup, even after the power brick issue/ fix. This fixed it. Fixed 7 "dead" xbox ones this way. Had to factory reset 3 of them. One of them was/ is my xbox one OG. 2x
This looks pretty fun! Not a racing gamer... but 400+ cars, nice environments, missions and "quests"... I'm intrigued for sure. My gearhead sensibility says 'buy now', but with Black Friday/Cyber Monday coming up, I think I'll wait to see what types of sales happen. Definitely will try it on Gamepass though...
I usually just run the spotify app with my custom playlist for racing games in the background of my xsx, and lower the in game music to 0 for Forza games. The music usually sucks in them, But I cant wait for this game, i dont love it for the music :)I almost bought a new OLED TV with VRR for this game this week. I still might... its bugging me I havent yet.

You can pre download if you go to the game page like you would to buy it. It will show up as a Game Pass title with an option to download. 100+ GB so you may as well get it loaded early.
If you're not wanting to wait you can download FH4 on gamepass too to give yourself an appetizer. Super enjoyable game still, and the development of the game from when it first came out to now is super encouraging. I've not seen a developer be so proactive in adding new and diverse content to a game that's been out for awhile, though I'm willing to bet that we'll see the same things they added in FH5 and FH4 became a bit of a testing ground.
Wouldn't worry, I've played newer Halos and Forzas, you're not missing much, is very much almost the same games regurgitated over n over with slight differences
I have a PlayStation but I just got a gaming laptop from a buddy as well. Now I have game pass and I can play any game I want. That my friend is the move.
if you’re complaining about avatars, it’s even worse when you see horizon 1, when they were actual characters. I have no idea why playground shifted away from actual quality storytelling.
I'm playing on xbox one s and I'm incredibly impressed with the performance of the game as a whole . Even with some really gross pop in and foliage switching from sprites to low poly models to full models when I'm really close to them. I never have stuttering or frame drops. I'm only a couple hours in and I'm excited for the rest of what Horizon 5 has to offer
I prefer the Forza Motorsport main series and can't wait for 8 but these Horizon games pretty fun. Gonna play it on Gamepass when I get that itch waiting for 8th mainline entry. Forza always been one of best looking games. And having driven some of the cars irl that were in Motorsport series they really translate the feel from real vehicle to game version which is insane.
This is why I love gamepass. I wasn't even planning on buying this because I already own Horizon 4 and don't really play it anymore but getting this for "free" is insane! Not having to pay for Halo Infinite is also a welcome surprise😁
I had nothing but issues with it... my mate and i couldn't make a convoy because of the constant disconnection, also the lag was somewhat of a issue on top of that after two hrs of playing i decided to take a rest and jump bak on later and so i did but forza had other plans and had decided to make me start all over again so everything i had done in them two hrs was reset.
Noice, what i like the most is new graphical filter, colors for the world are now somehow less 'shiny' and dimer , which i like very much, as for cars for me it looks almost the same, but with better engine sounds, which i really like, cant wait to buy it, gonna play it like crazy!! AWESOME!!
You'll love it. I hesitated to play 4 because I was into NFS and worried the shift from a hyper arcade simulator to a more realistic arcade racing sim would be too boring or hard. I was wrong on both counts. And to be honest, I feel like progession in Horizon is more fun because every car you get feels like it has limitless potential. NFS pigeon-holes players into using a handful of cars because they'll always be more powerful than everything else for most tracks. There's just so much variety in Horizon, both in car customization and tracks, that you're always trying something new or using cars in ways you didn't anticipate.
I have been a huge fan of all the Forza games sonce the original XBox. And absolutely love jumping on with friends in the Horizon franchise. I already have it pre-installed.

The races across open fields are just game fluff. They couldn't even make a track? Just checkpoints across a grass field. That's why I never play the so called "offroad" game mods.
Don’t know if anyone said this already but switching ur Xbox to the New Zealand time zone lets you play this game(if u bought the early access addition or season pass) and COD Vanguard is also playable with the time zone switch
I couldn't care less about cars in real life. But wow, Forza has changed things completely for me and has made me understand why there are car nuts out there! Damn this series is phenomenal!

The lighting system, i think, is what's setting this game apart from other racing games. it's absolutely spot on and is the closest to mimicking real life tones, colours and shadows, to my eyes. Gorgeous game.
Very similar graphically to the last one and the one before that, there's obviously more on screen but I would have liked to see them push things further with next gen hardware and implement a robust wind simulation, having some of them trees violently swaying would look pretty sweet
Even with gamepass I bought the premium add on bundle to play today. Can't wait to get home from work. Best looking game for next gen and I don't even like cars or change my own oil. 👍👍
