Apart from the dents looks like a fairly solid shell, bit of smoke when you moved away but couldn't clearly see what colour it is. We have a 2.8 mk1 sierra xr4x4 that has the same v6 obviously injected and larger cc......there is a water drain plugs near the oil filter, so you can drain the water out of the engine block completely....valve adjustment is in the Haynes manual...
Yeah not to bad there is a bit of rust here and there and sills but it is pretty solid yeah but luckily it wasn’t constantly smoking ooo very nice is that engine not slightly different 🤔 the 2.8 to the 2.3 hopefully my brother should have a Haynes 👍
Saw the question in the title of the video and just thought I'd stop by to say that I don't know why you bought it. Hope it worked out well though! They're nice cars.
That 2.3 V6 engine is quiet because it's all iron and relatively small displacement for a V6... Iron block, iron heads. It's very heavy and iron is inherently a well-damped material.
I know it’s unbelievable how old it is and still definitely looks better compared to the modern stuff you see these days also still got the old ford smell 🙌
What is it with MK1 Sierra's.... the fendors are always dented haha. I've had a '83 2.3 Ghia ... man i wish i still had it! Good luck with here. I have a soft spot for 2.0/2.3 V6 Ghia's
I’m not to sure maybe it’s other drivers haha ohh nice was yours manual ? Unfortunately I don’t have it no more either as I got to many complaints I wish I still did have it 🥲
@@CHARGEDGURUS I had a manual indeed. A 1982 is really early btw… the first one is from okt 82 I thought. I’ve also had an XR4I.. sold it years ago to a friend of mine. He still has it! I have some old vids on my channel here
Ohh 😮 manual is so much better in my opinion I know I regret having to get rid of it because of complaining people 🥲 need way that’s awesome that he still has your old xr4i my brother used to have an xr4x4 I will definitely check the videos on your channel
2024, it's tax and MOT exempt.....if you can restore it these are increasing in value £5k at least! This is a well equipped model, so it might be worth more.....the computer must have seemed modern in 1982
I know mate I wish I had kept her but got too many complaints so ended up selling it!! I think this was the top spec model as it was the ghia yeah the computer was an awesome feature and it had electrical windows too
The early Sierras were so much better made , I had an 82 2.3 ghia that was rock solid compared to a 91 model I had that seemed to be much poorer quality materials .
