Dr. Kent Hovind is a great man of Yahuah, I respect him immensely and he influenced me a lot that's for sure. What's more I am an African in Africa never lived off the continent. I am a Namibian.
I had a chance to write brother hovind while he was in jail. I appreciated the fact that he took the effort to write us back. In regards to him going to jail, there is one aspect of this situation that nobody has mentioned. While he was in jail there was a debate that he should have been a part of. We all know how brother hovind can crush people in debates. The debate was between Bill Nye the quote "science Guy"and member of "AIG" Ken ham. The debate was more for show. It is my true belief that Kent hovind should have been the one to do the debate. But as we all know the debate was done conveniently when he was in prison.

I thank God for Kent Hovind. I have listened to him over the years and all that I have learned through him has been a strength and a blessing. When you look at Kent's life in and after prison, he's as mentally strong a man as I think you can get. I actually believe he's unbreakable. You can see that his optimism comes through his faith. His treasures are layed up in heaven, he is an example to us all.

I remember having the privilege exchanging some emails with brother Kent, during his unjust prison years, God used him to lead many people to Christ. He almost lost everything but he stood still to his faith in Christ and God reward him as we can see nowadays having again a ministry!!! God be praised for all that.

I think that most people, most of the time, are good and moral. There are exceptions that should not be ignored. Every Christian that ignores Hovind's bad deeds while praising or making excuses for him is making Christianity look bad. It is showing that Christian morals don't exist.

Acts 8:37 is also written in the Wycliffe translation and the 1599 Geneva version of the bible. Wycliffe version was published in the 1400's. They both came before the KJV.

I personally believe that the Gap Theory is true and that the earth is possibly millions of years old. But it is not 4.6 billion years old. I believe there were two floods-- the pre-Adamic Flood and the Worldwide Flood of Noah. The sun, moon, and planets are very young--only 6,000 years old. 31:00 Evolution and Darwin. It is an amazing story. Like Kent says, the book came out in the late 1850s. They didn't have modern technologies and transportation back then, so it took years longer for the Evolution book to become popular in the States. Now, just imagine the impact that book would have had if it came out just 10 years earlier. Or if the US Civil War was 10 years later. Well, you guessed it, the Civil War would have never happened. Recall how that many ex-slaves took up positions of power and were elected to government positions soon after the Civil War. But as you can imagine, that all went away very quickly as Darwinism spread into America. As soon as that book gained popularity, many Whites regretted what they did in the Civil War, no doubt. But God had perfect timing and freed the slaves before that could happen. 53:30 I'm glad he brings up Scofield Bible Commentaries. I got one recently and I thought it was a great thing. Then I read through the commentaries and saw lots of bad information in there. I was disappointed. But it does go to show not to always trust what a man tells you.

Why did he not tell the part that after he got out and went home his wife and son kicked him out of his own house and I would assume divorced him? He then moved up in Alabama where I guess he is now.
I love Kent Hovind but I think he has it wrong on the gap theory. In the King James Version, of the Bible, which he promotes, in Genesis 1:28, God tells Adam and Eve to "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth." Replenish means to fill (something) up again. Meaning there must have been something here before the Genesis creation. What that was, who knows.
The story I heard is that Kent was storing cash in the walls of his house, and that he was doing everything in cash to avoid paying his taxes. There was a theory going around the internet at that time that income tax is illegal and you don't have to pay it, so maybe Kent got deceived into trying to avoid paying taxes.
