For example restrictions sabotage or on dangerous materials or tricking investors or certain questionable ethics and practices. Restrictions actually forces us to innovate and find new solutions which increases efficiency which leads to prosperity.

And when you say economists blame the economic situation in the 70's, what economists are you talking about? Friedman and the chicago school? Any serious economist would tell you that the economic decline in the UK preceded the strikes - not the other way around. We can have a debate about what caused the economic decline in the first place - poor sustained investment in industry, the oil crisis and yes poor industrial relations are all contributory factors. And yes, the strikes didn't help the situation - but people don't go on strike for no reason. A strike is not decided upon lightly; after all when you go on strike you are asking people to cut off their income. People strike because they have no choice. And to blame the whole financial mess that britain found itself in in the 60's/70's solely on unions is just poor analysis and to me is an indication you haven't really a clue what was going on during that period.
