JustDaz is it wrong I wanna see a season where the main lead gets a Digimon associated with evil like Lucemon and the season follows the partner’s resistance to his data to protect his friend? Am I weird for wanting this?
@@dragonstouch1042 This. While Guilmon is a virus (and a particularly dangerous one at that, hazard symbol and all), it's Mega form's (Gallantmon) status as a Royal Knight gives the opposite impression. (Though I love how Gallantmon, despite being a Royal Knight, still has the hazard symbol on it's shield.)
@@vladskiobi You know what would be an interesting idea for the people that are making Digimon is they should bring back Digimon Tamers of having the main characters as teenagers, they also get new abilities, what they are going up against is much worse of what they experience in the past, and it's going to be dark, mature, some drama, and romance like having Takato in new relationship instead of Jeri. It's kinda similar to Digimon Adventures Tri but done right.
Listen. The way Tamers handled that CRESCENDO of Jeri's pain into the D Reaper was SO well done. No holes in the development, whatsoever and absolutely HEARTWRENCHING.
@@KarnRulez and i think tri is trash, but i don't specifically go out searching for tri videos and commenting the same thing 2335567 times on them, you're just wasting your time
I really did enjoy Tamers I had a darker field, it felt different than the rest of the Digimon series and sometimes you actually felt bad for the villains for example Impmon, and yes the characters did feel like they got more development than in the other series.
- an actual useful and interesting female character - the best digimon villain - the best non-digimon and non-human villain. - amazing action - amazing plot - useful adults and military that actually does shit that matters instead being fodder or evil - doesn't rely on fan service
@@M3rtyville not to mention what make Digimon tamers better than Frontier when giving kids Superpowers: Tamers keeps digimon partners while frontier ditches them
@@Masonicon Frontier isn't disappointing because it turns kids into Digimon. It just has no good villains, no good mcs and the story is very boring. It only lives on its interesting lore. Digimon Movie X Evolution has no human and is still good minus the animation quality.
Tamers is my favorite out of all of Digimon. It took the concept of those times kids wished for Digimon (and also Pokemon and many other similar shows) to be real. What we never thought of when making such wishes was the dangers that would accompany them. The fact Tamers took that idea and showed that it wouldn't just be all fun and games and would instead be dangerous was cool to me. However even though every series of Digimon had their good moments and I could enjoy each for what they were, Tamers was the best for me. Honestly I hope they make a sequel to Tamers one day. Something for the fans of the series like what was done for Adventure Tri. Either as a set of movies like they did with Tri or a full on series. Whichever they go with a sequel should be done. (I know they made a CD audio drama but I want full on animation.)
They both had strong points to them, but yeah Tamers had such an immensely well written emotional arc for the time, dealing with stuff in a kid's show that hasn't been that well done until perhaps Adventure Time how many years later. I respect writers who aren't scared to tackle the topic of loss of self when it comes to entertaining kids. Brilliant stuff.
I loved this because it was a cartoon that wasn't afraid to get dark. This is an element that I really value in cartoons and one of the things that makes a good cartoon into a great cartoon for me.
Goggleheads Taichi: Hotheaded yet likeable Davis: Didn’t dark digivolve his partner Takato: Very Moody but relatable Takuya: Kind of forgettable Marcus: LEEROY JEEEENKINS Mikey: Friendship and other stuff Tagiru: Badass, reckless, but does his best to help Who’s your favorite Gogglehead
Raboka Swiftalon I know it's not on the list, but Haru. Kind-hearted and friendly. Also use Taiki instead of Mikey. Fits the name thing of the leaders.
Takato and Taiki Takato was so down to earth and in over his head. He grew into his leader role instead of just being there to take charge. Taiki, meanwhile, is intelligent to an unbelievable degree and actually weaponizes friendship. He was awesome as a leader.
Tamers amazing. It was full of mental trauma in the form of Juri, had a great opening song, The Biggest Dreamer by Wada Kouji, has Renamon consuming an energy drink, more character development than any character in a Pokemon anime, and a movie that made no sense but it had the song Egao by Wada Kouji in the Japanese version so who cares if it makes sense or not.
Digimon are the best franchise. You don't have to fight about which season is the best. Every season (and Digimon game) is special and unique in their own way. If you don't like some of them, it's fine. If you love some of them, it's also fine. Try to uderstand the series and their messages with your mind and your heart...like a true fan and Tamer
I'm rewatching Frontier right now and just finished Cherubimon's arc...and honestly...this season is one of the worst ones, imo. The only redeeming factor for the series is the evolution scenes as it's still one of my favorites. I struggle to find something else I genuinly like about it...
random dude the idea of evolving (not sure i wrote that right) and fight alone instead of relaying pn other people/digimon is the best thing In the sieres and the best aspect about it
Tamers was just felt more real to me the plot just didn't let up when the devas came then beealzemon being a dick then turning good to everything that went down with Jeri ( I only wished they did megidramon better it used non of it's real power)
My headcannon for Megidramon not using it's true power is because Takato wasn't angry any more. Anger was what gave him the strength for the evolution to happen but, once that power left it had no more energy to use it's attacks so what was just left an uncontrolled monster.
Bryan Suminski I like makes sense my head cannon was because takatos rage broke the digivice megidramon lost it's battery so it started going into meltdown
@@bryansuminski7543 Megidramon in my opinion was a representative of how dark Takato can be. His connection to Guilmon had always seemed like a mirror of Takato's true self in terms of personality. So seeing the scenes when Takato was angry and Guilmon went rabid helped round out Takato in my eyes.
Tamers is my favorite Season, but my second favorite is Frontier. I actually prefer it Adventure for several reasons, one of them being that it's the one I watched the most as a kid and left the bigger impact on me.
kristof gergely The main problem with frontier was none other than Koji Not his personality but the focus he got I hated how frontier just focused on Takuya and Koji
Right!? I've been spoiled rotten about the Digimon franchise and didn't feel like watching any series to finish. Then I did just that with Tamers... and I loved it. It may not be as great as it would have if I wasn't spoiled, but I loved it nonetheless. And thanks to that, I've got "hikari o hanatsu karada ga" stuck in my head.
According to the creator it is not the right 'climate' for a sequel series to Tamers. However there is a proto sequel in the recently released Drama CD that came with the Tamers Bluray.
Fun Fact: Dukemon from Tamers are not Royal Knight member just like Omegamon from Adventure are not one of Royal Knight" They are simply "another" Dukemon and Omegamon. And both of them can't fly thats why they got mode change who give them Wing.
adventure omegamon can also fly, and if you watch xross war manga looks like adventure omegamon bacome Royal knight leader (just my theory as they make many similaeities with previous seasons)
I am pretty sure on Adventure only saw Omegamon jump then slowly fall to the ground. I am sorry but watch xross wars manga? if you talking about the anime Omegamon dpn't think it was ever confirm there is RK on the anime xross wars, and the manga Omegamon dead and reborn to Shoutmon. UlforceVeedramon is the only character confirm to be the same one on the manga and that Tailmon Wizardmon relationship who resemble Adventure one was never confirm to be the same one.
jump? he was seen flying many times, he was floating in Internet while diaboromon who can't fly is just jumping from 1 wall to another, while fighting against armaggedemon he was flying very fast he can't jump on water, and all RK appear in Xros war manga except alphamon (some in flashback or mentioned by other royal knights like saying dukemon is fighting in another zone). There is many digimon has shown fighting and evolving during last fight, and many of them belong to previous seasons digidestined, and where it's mentiones shoutmon is reincarnation of omegamon
That's same as saying Agumon Adventure can fly. Why Diablomon even want to "fly" there? jumping seem much faster and enough to make everyone can't follow the speed (remember Omegamon also lag but not Yamato and Taichi who also there) The Garuru Cannon scene on 02 pretty sure its jumping and then Omegamon dash to stab Arma but don't do anything. Where is this "and many of them belong to previous seasons digidestined" part? where it's ever confirm they are from the previous story on Digimon franchise? It's Zeromaru who said it, something about Shoutmon resemble the long gone Omegamon. And Omega Shoutmon also have Omega the Fusion.
Are you watching digimon or something else, clearly omegamon can fly, even in Tri he was flying while fighting against Alphamon, jessmon, roguelmon and Ordinemon, in movie 2 he is fighting armaggedemon on top of water he can't jump on water and his speed is amazing there is no way he can do that on water with jumping.
I do believe that most Adventure fans likes Adventure the best because it was the first Digimon season that they have watched from their childhoods. Adventure was also the first season that I have watched and I liked it and that made me to become a Digimon fan. I'm one of the fans who watched Digimon: The Movie first before Adventure 02 because the movie in my country was dubbed first before Adventure 02 was dubbed and aired on TV like Adventure. I saw the movie on a VHS that I rented on a video club and that movie made me to know about Davis, Yolei and Cody's existences. When Adventure 02 was finally aired, I remembered that I was very happy to see the same characters that I have seen from the third part of the movie, but when I first saw Digimon Emperor/Ken, I thought that he was one of the villains of this season, but after he turned into good and became another main character, I realized that he wasn't that much of a villainous character. I remembered liking Adventure 02 a lot when it was still a new season, but in the next year, I first saw a trailer of Tamers and I remembered that I was very excited because it looked very interesting to me and I liked how Terriermon (one of the digimon that I recognized from the third part of Digimon: The Movie) was one of the main digimon of this season. When this season was finally aired, it became my most favorite season of Digimon and Guilmon became one of my favorite digimon. I enjoyed it a lot more than the previous two seasons, but I still like the previous two seasons because they are Digimon series. I still haven't seen a Digimon season that I truly dislike yet, but I'm not counting Adventure tri. because it's a movie series, not a TV Series. I do not like Adventure tri. that much, but I'm so glad that they made it into a movie series instead of a TV Series. If it was made as a TV Series instead of as a movie series, it would probably be worse. If you like Adventure the best, that's fine. We all have different opinions and tastes on liking a Digimon season. Adventure may be the first Digimon series, but that does not mean that it's the best season ever. We have many other fans who likes other Digimon seasons that isn't Adventure or Tamers like Frontier, Savers/Data Squad and Xros Wars/Fusion. I also like Frontier, but I don't understand all those hates on this season.
Digimon 1 was for my favorite characters from series, Digimon 02 was mostly just for their designs(as I grows up, 02 and it's sequels was like newer pokemon anime with digimon replacing pokemon) And digimon tamers hold answer of this question: how to give kids superpowers without removing their digimon partners? Frontier make digidestined overpowered and savers make the digidestined trained martial artists(with ambiguougly metahuman physical stats to keep up with their digimons they fought alongside themselves)
Yeah, I agree with this video. Tamers has always been my favorite Digimon season, because of the deeper story. Also, I'm a fan of deconstruction, and Tamers is a deconstruction of Digimon, in that it shows what Digimon coming into the real world would really be like. But Adventure will always have a special place in my heart.
I think both Tamers and Adventure are amazing, they are unique in its own way, but Tamers has a much darker tone. I don't really like to say one is better than the other because i feel like they are both great and it just comes down to which one you like the most
Without Adventure 01, its tough to say if we'd have gotten Tamers. Digimon 01 set the concept down and gave us a really wonderful world and setting... Tamers took that and grounded it, went new places with it, and a darker narrative - both tell amazing stories, and both delve into the themes of loss of innocence, letting go of one's childhood, while still gratifying the potential one has as a child first and foremost. Both are beautiful series that I am so thankful I had in my childhood.
I will be honest, I love adventure but..... Tamers has always been my favorite season, so I agree. Tamers is the best, but I understand if others don’t go with my opinion.
Tamers is just so natural and has an awesome feel Idk why but for me not even using nostalgia (my fav is frontier) I feel tamers was super nicely done and had such a great impact on digimon I kinda feel it was the reason for more digimon animes
Tamers is my favorite, but my second favorite is actuallu Xros Wars. While I feel like the story suffered a bit from too big a cast, the show tackled many themes it was going for quite well. I think it did the idea of the Dark Masters much better, giving each one their own group of episodes to flesh out how horrible (or tortured, or actually loved) each was. It also revisited the Digimon Emperor idea with... Ah nuts, what was his name... Anyway, he didn't see the Digimon as living things until his Digimon guardian, who at first only also saw the human as a tool, died trying to help him. I'm sad Hunters through time was soooo bad and Takeru stole so much screentime because he was so damn annoying. I wanted to see Taiki work on passing the mantle more to someone who deserved it.
Yu/Ewan was the kid's name. Damemon was his partner's name. Also, agreed. I wish Hunters was so much better than it turned out. I would have preferred Yu taking the leadership role. It's great to see another Xros Wars/Fusion fan! :D
I don't think Takeru was Hunters' problem. Their dynamic worked well enough, if there was enough time to develop it. What ruined it for me was that the ending was rushed, and relied on fan service in the most tasteless way.
I don’t care if data squad is not as liked compared to the rest but I think it’s the greatest. Marcus and shinegreymon had so many hype moments that I say it’s my number 1 and tamers is my second favorite !!!!
The problem with this season has a name: Data Squad. Savers, if you watched the original japanese, is basically perfect. Best villainin the whole franchise, spectacular OST, great character development, etc. The dub just ruins so many little aspects of it, the the whole thing get's messed up in the end. Changes like calling digisoul "DNA", and Yggdrasil "Kingdrasil" messes the story and the meaning of so much stuff in the end... Complete removal of the japanese OST is also a big loss, as it's usual from the american dub of digimon seasons...
@@Sugurain Couldn't stand Savers frankly. Both Masaru and Kurata annoyed me greatly. Likewise, a human punching Digimon powerful enough to level cities was plain cringeworthy for me... -_-
Digimon Tamers was my first season of Digimon I've seen from start to finish before I got the chance to see the other seasons. As I grew up, I noticed that Digimon's stories have more adult themes like families being separated, self-sacrifice, overcoming one's inner demons, and even death. Digimon doesn't hold any punches, but it never takes it too far and I like that.
@@alanwayne7643 what make Pokemon don't take cues from Digimon, unless when it's crappy 2nd season(and it's sequels) was: Pokemon's refusal of having any superpoweres beings that aren't strictly titular creatures
Congrats on 15k. I really like Digimon Tamers and it's my favorite digimon season along with Digimon Adventure. I'm glad you made this on Odaiba Day In Japan and the new digimon adventure project might be a theatrical project
Call me crazy but Zero Two is my favorite. I didn't like any of the main cast in 01 but I just loved Davis and older Kari and Ken. Them knowing more about the digi world and not running around like headless chickens was a nice touch I don't think gets enough credit.
11:48 not only that, but in that season, they are not "chosen ones" they are tamers, both the kid and the digimons choose to have eachother, so the fact that the last evolution it's done by fusing with eachother it's a great cartartic moment
I love bio merging. However, unlike in Adventure the kids were the ones with the ability to make their mons evolve, not like with outside help like Calumon and cards although their bonds they made with their partners were more natural.
only 2 things I like about tamers how they mega digivolve and BEELZEMON!!!.. other then that wasn't too important for me and about advanture i liked the idea of having more characters. I like it that they spend their most time in digital world. I like MYOTISMON!!! best villain ever... I like that myotismon was interested in the human world. I like that there was a 8th digidestined missing and his partner was actually raised by the villain.. I like that patamon did not digivolve in time as most of the fans was expecting him next but he did in critical time and becames an angel and I'm sure it blows everyone mind.. I liked the idea of not taking good care of your digimon makes them turn into an unexpected and unwanted digimon like in skullgreymon case... so many things I like about advanture 01.. 2 things I dislike in it tho and u already mentioned them the dark masters did not last long and the rest of the digimons did not have their mega forms in the show.. so yea I like advanture more then tamers..still it's good to know your opinion 😀😘
Tamers smooch one story plot was refreshing. And the villain turning a new lead with beelzemon was great. Not to mention it felt more unique that it was the D-reaper that would be the end boss, not Yggdrasil or a super ultimate digimon
I'm agreeing you there... though Tamer's Ending always felt sad and the aftermath movie is concern "CANON" but not. I can't say one is better than another only because the whole concept of Digimon is special.
The 2 main reason I like digimon tamers it's because: Number 1: I like how the tamers use their cards and digivice to modify their digimon giving them extra power, increase their speed, giving them weapons or special attacks Number 2: I like the idea of tamers merging with their digimon to allow them to digivolve into Mega
You know what would be an interesting idea for the people that are making Digimon is they should bring back Digimon Tamers of having the main characters as teenagers, they also get new abilities, what they are going up against is much worse of what they experience in the past, and it's going to be dark, mature some drama, and romance like having Takato in a new relationship instead of Jeri. It's kinda similar to Digimon Adventures Tri but done right.
@@umergulmuhammad9756 I was thinking Rika Nonaka as Takato new love interests because they had some moments in the show, they balance each other in their personalities, they can help each other in tight situations their in, in the manga it was Sakuyamon gives her powers to Gallantmon instead of Justimon in the anime, and in Runaway Locomon is the best example to have them to be a couple. I always see Ryo as this perfect guy, who's kinda like an action hero in a movie he's in, he doesn’t have any flaws at all in the story, and not mention being good looking who can probably get a harem of fangirls which would get Rika being angry at him and making her jealous that he has tons of fangirls.
I always understood why people love Tamers so much. However my favorite series is Frontier, if only for one very specific reason. The humans deal with their own problems.
Tamers had amazing designs for their Digimon. I think it ties 02 for cool designs. But I think both of those series went over the line with how many forms there were.
Andres Marrero Agree Tbh I didn't liked the way they handled Koichi as a character His element as a digidestined and character was unique He was strongest in his group as individual because human spirit of darkness is as powerful as others' fusion according to wiki and show Yet Ophanimon didn't gave him ability to hyper spirit evolve which makes no sense and it happened because of Tai Matt case obsession Tommy could develop much more in my opinion And I never understood how Takuya was involved in birth of Sossanomon I watched the show According to prophecy when light and darkness unit only then power to defeat Lucymon could born Weren't they already united when Koji used to evolve in MagnaGaruromon and if we consider not then how come Takuya was the one to evolve alongside Koji His element is fire Which has nothing to do with darkness Yet Sossanomon matches with his spirit more Writers were creating a ying Yang scenario so if they had to involve Takuya there should have been a warrior of water involved but it didn't happen because writers were obsessed with Tai Matt scenario This Tai Matt scenario caused a lot of problems with this show
Just in time for Odaiba Day! Anyways, as much as I like Digimon Adventure, I love Tamers the most, especially since it was one of the very first anime I ever watched along with Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon, and it still holds up to this day. Tamers was very bold even for a kid's show at the time, and actually went into subject matter that most kid's shows would normally avoid. I do think it helps that the series director, Chiaki Konaka did a lot of dark stuff intended for older audiences before he made Tamers, being the series director of Serial Experiments Lain, and if I remember right, he helped work on Neon Genesis Evangelion as well, which a lot of people compare Tamers to (fun fact: The D-Reaper was inspired by the Angels from Evangelion, so I can see ). There's yet to be another Digimon series like Tamers though, Savers/Data Squad tried to have some of the same elements that Tamers had, but I feel they weren't executed as well as they were in Tamers. This is especially true in a day and age where anime intended for a younger demographic tends to try too hard to imitate Pokemon, Beyblade, and all the different card game anime, and are more focused on selling merchandise over telling a story that can take itself seriously while still still being for kids, which is one of the things I always loved about Digimon was how it took itself seriously while still being made for kids and wasn't blatantly toyetic, which is one of the reasons I don't like Xros Wars, among many, MANY other reasons. The only thing I DON'T like about Tamers is that, even as much as I love it, I feel fans place it on a pedestal and overhype it, but that's about it really. Also Ryo, but that's another story.
Only tangentially related, but its bugged me a while and I want to complain to someone who can understand my pain, but what the heck happened to Buddyfight? The first season was great, as it didn't take selling product to kids all that serious as a goal. Instead it told an interesting story and presented the card game in a fairly realistic way, at least more realistic than other tcg anime. Season two got better all around, and then DDD happened and it threw away any message it had been trying to say earlier. It got so formulaic, and blatantly toyetic that it was hard to watch.
Watching Digimon dubbed growing up, Tamers was my favorite. One day, I happened to see the ending of Digimon adventure 1 in Japanese compared to the dub and that REALLY made me get into Digimon again, particularly Adventure. After rewatching every season subbed, I like Adventure the best though Tamers is second for me. But the music, and the attachment each character has to their digimon I just feel more in adventure. And like you said, Adventure makes the digital world into a place of adventure, which I prefer in anime in general as well. Oh and Culumon and Xiao-Chung kind of annoy me a lot in both the dub and sub lol.
Just finished rewatching Tamers, for like the umpteenth time, still makes me cry. At the end, few moments in the season, its just so good. There's really only ONE episode that has no overall purpose in the story, other than being a silly episode: Kazu and Kenta's Excellent Adventure... Love Tamers. Loved it ever since I saw it on TV as a child and I still love it all these years later.
Regarding a new adventure continuation if ever it happens It would honestly be better if its te same old one episode a week routine like other anime That and for god's sake get better writers and more supervision on them
@ZeroDex, didn't we get to see Angewomon and Angemon digivolve into their megaevolution in the American release of Digimon that went from Adventure 01 to Adventure 02?
4:20 I see you visited rule 34 for renamon, well if it exists theres definitly porn of it. EDIT: Also incase anyone didnt know adventures is getting another movie.
You can't directly compare them. The only things they have in common are digital monsters that can evolve and come from a digital world and childs with a digital device that team up with them. But the consistence of digimon, the story behind what makes them evolve and the reason why digimon and humans team up is completly different.
Tri wasnt perfect but i wasn't bad either I feel like there could have been more to it though. But I enjoy tamers and adventure including 02 cuz I see that as adventure as well
As far as fleshed-out antagonists are concerned, I think Yukio Oikawa in Adventure 02 had a substantial backstory that was somewhat redemptive like Impmon/Beelzemon, although the focus in Adventure 02 was in how Oikawa was possessed by Myotismon at the moment of his grief and remained so until he was no longer needed. I think the darkest moment in Adventure 02 was when he lured children into the world of dreams (instead of the Digital World) like the Pied Piper, which still reads to me as a metaphor for child abduction and torture. Similarly, Beelzemon killing Leomon in Tamers visibly fucked Jeri up and played right into her depression.
In the new digimon adventure reboot it still seem to focus more around Tai and Matt, but at least it seems like all the character will reach the mega level
I would rank the seasons of Digimon as follows: 1) Tamers (takes a darker look into Digimon. Characters are fleshed out and experience drastic, and believable, changes. ) 2) original Digimon (Adventure) (Fun characters, and fun to watch, and, I'll be honest, nostalgia) 3) DATS ( I really enjoyed this season and think it doesn't get the credit it deserves. It has wonderful characters and plot, but it does start off slow) 4) 02 (gets a bit iffy in places and Davis is annoying but is otherwise fairly good) 5) frontier (plot holes everywhere, but some characters are good) 6)Tri (started out amazingly, shame the new character they shoehorned in was unnecessary and boreing. Could have been great but if I'm watching a show about the original Digimon cast I expect the plot to focus around them) 6) fusion (if you want to not die inside do yourself a favor and watch literally anything else. Watch paint dry. Watch grass grow. Stare at the sun till your retinas burn. Anything is better than subjugating yourself to this monstrosity) (Of course, everyone has differing opinions so if you, for example, like Digimon fusion that's cool.) Appmon is rather strange in this ranking for (at least from what I've seen) people either hate or love it. Personally the characters bore me and the story has a habit of bringing up interesting topics only to brush over them (example: a character turns into data. Okay that's cool, but I'd like to learn more about that rather than having the character just change back). This isn't to say the story is bad, it's just not my cup of tea; Infact, most people I know who have seen this season love it. It all really comes down to opinion. I'm curious, how do you rank the Digimon seasons?
Actually Digimon are genderless, but they can sometimes have male or female characteristics. So, Renamon really has no gender, but it's design is more feminine leaning, and so are the evolutions. There are more than one Digimon of the same species, and there are no male/female varients unless if it's an entire different digimon species, so in the end of the day, they are just androgynous.
My top list 1. Digimon Tamers 2. Digimon Data Squad 3. Digimon Frontier 4. Digimon Adventure 5. Digimon adventure 02 I remember watching Adventure first but it wasnt as interesting to me when I was 4-5 years old.(Im currently 19) When I was 6 I first saw Tamers and Guilmon was the reason I became interested and then through the series the plot, soundtrack(german soundtrack) and the characters made me want to watch the next series which was Frontier and then Data squad. All three were my favs. Adventure was my least fav one since at the time a lot of the characters annoyed me. TK, Matt and Tai and Izzy werw the ones I liked the most from that series at the time.
I like more the Digimon adventure, maybe because it's the beginning. And I've watched it when I was 4 and still love it.. And also because almost all of the types of Digimon was present there. And yeah you're right it's sad that only Agumon and Gabumon were able to reach their Ultimate form.Data Squad is good too..
Tamers is the best season because it had the best story arc , the best "Villain Digimon" with Beelzemon ( and impmons development) and the best charakter development out of all the seasons
You know what would be an interesting idea for the people that are making Digimon is they should bring back Digimon Tamers of having the main characters as teenagers, they also get new abilities, what they are going up against is much worse of what they experience in the past, and it's going to be dark, mature, some drama, and romance like having Takato in new relationship instead of Jeri. It's kinda similar to Digimon Adventures Tri but done right.
Tamers is so good! Idk if I'd say if I like it better then Adventure, I'd probably say they're tied but I totally agree. Tamers was a fun and different take. So good
You think Renamon has it rough on DeviantartArt? Please, for the love of King Drasil, don't search Google for 'Sonic and Amy', or worse 'Sonic and Shadow'.
I tried to like tamers cause i really love terriermon.. But the only thing i can remember about tamers is how the main protagonist keeps crying bout everything..
I believe that every seasons have a special things about it yes tamer have a really good story and character but the beginning in human world was boring it barely have some real action and i really dislike the digital world in it it felt so empty unlike frontier or xros wars these to seasons have the best digital world in my opinion it's full of colour and Digimon and that's why it felt more alive in the end what i was trying to say it's that all of Digimon seasons are good because each one of it have something special about and know we have a new seasons named ghost game and i really enjoy it i really like it the mysterious atmosphere in it
Okay, so you take Tamers over Adventure, I respect that. But I have to ask, what are your thoughts about the other seasons, how do they fair up? I personally believe the second best season is Adventure 02, though I guess it's because of nostalgia, but still, Adventure 02 is the only season to be a direct sequel to a previous season, unless you count Adventure Tri. Data Squad I think was an interesting season and I loved the idea it had of having a sort of Digimon "police force" as it gave the main characters an easier way to get involved with the plots (similar to Power Rangers: SPD), though the villains took forever to show themselves. With Frontier, while I think it was the weakest season, I liked the Legendary Warriors and it introduced both the Royal Knights as well as Lucemon, the leader of the Seven Great Demon Lords. I've got nothing to say on X-Wars since I haven't really seen it yet or any other season after that.
I haven't watched frontier or Xross wars. It's been years since I last saw Data squad, so I briefly remember some things. Kurata was a great villain, you were meant to despise him and he did that role perfectly. I like the idea of Digimon dying for good, it made the deaths feel more tragic. It had a slow start when compared to Adventure and 02. I guess they wanted to show the group solving cases, as a police force. It had the monster of the week format, but I feel like other Digimon shows did this a lot better. It was a bit weird to see Marcus punch powerful Digimon, they gave a good explanation, but I kind of wanted to see him suffer some consequence for punching monsters that could destroy buildings with ease. I also liked how they added the royal knights as villains for the last half of the story.
As a kid I never liked Adventure, I was more into Pokemon, but somehow Tamers did catch my attention and I ended up loving it. As an adult, I actually love Adventure; but mainly because they kept that storyline evolving with Adventure Tri and Kizuna, and they knew how to make it personal for us adults who are dealing with nostalgia and with past friendships that we still miss and love. Would have been interesting had they done that with Tamers too
Digimon Tamers is totally awesome! I think for mass audience, it is better. But for kids Adventures is better in my opinion. The reason I say this is because the character development in Adventure is, well, better. And the cast is more relatable and can give good lessons to kids (and adults). In that sense I say Adventures is better as a simple story that everyone can enjoy. But Tamers deals with some mature themes that I think attracts older people. The development and story are still fantastic but I dont think it reached the point of Adventures. Adventures was too simplistic and light that I can see why an older viewer would be attracted a lot more to something more complex like Tamers.
theweasly Wait, so Adventure was simplistic, but had better character development? The characters in Adventure are pretty static. They don't change on any fundamental level. However, in Tamers Takato, Henry, and Rika each have their own character flaws that are ultimately overcome by the end of the season.
02 is the best imo. The price of 02 merch says a lot about it's popularity too. Here in the US more people where exposed to 02 than any other season, I believe. That and the adventure and 02 timeline have more digidestined than any other timeline. The passing of the torch from one group to the other. It brings a sense of unity and consistency that a lot of the later seasons seem to lack. Its simply a much bigger and better world than any other season.
Have to say tamers is actually My favorite. But as an unpopular pick My second favorite is data squad. Even Tho i didnt like agumon called Marcus boss, and the story didnt feel that well pased with the father sub line. But what i liked is how the showed changed the digimon format, like Marcus needed to fight with agumon for him to evolve agumon, and it was showed early in the show that Marcus cannot fight a digimon alone, him and agumon need each other. And the fact the main villan Was a humane, and digimons Was innocent, and it was one Guy crazy enough to waken one of the most dangerous demon Lords that caused the royal knight final arc. And well the obivous, they showed the danger of dark evolution, All other shows Was "OMG i feel so bad... Nvm My partner is back" in savers, agumon died because of Marcus rage, and he stayed dead for more than just 1 episode where Marcus Was deffendsless.
This is true the first season and thired is the best of them all and i agree with you season three is the best of all season season three is the main reason of why i love digimon
i personally like tamers the most and think of it as the best. as a writer myself, i just love the story and character writing. however, my second favorite is digimon savers (data squad) by far and it actually comes close to tamers in most aspects. i guess its because savers was the first i saw, but i just cant think of it any different anymore.
I became a fan mid season of the First Digimon. When I heard that they were changing the series settings and just focusing on 3 kids and their Digimon, i hated the idea and i wanted it to fail but i did a 180 very quickly. Tamers was perfect
sooo are we not gonna discuss the fact that zero is afraid to dispute the demonetization because youtube is holding a crazy bullshit threat if he even so much as attempts it?
Th reason I really love Tamers is that it’s the most realistic digimon season. Takato, Henry, Rika, Ryu and the other two guys I forgot their names are Digimon fans, the Digitital world actually seems realistic. I know that sounds dumb, but the fact that they where only in the digital world for like 15 episodes and it was complicated to get into the digital world and difficult to get out made it more special imo. Whereas in other seasons they constantly went into the digital world and came back like they where turning on a switch. Also the three main digimon are so like able and the fact the team is small is much better imo. There’s so many great things about tamers I can go on and on but these where some that came to mind.
Season 2 had the first demon lord appearance Daemon with each season after having one Tamers had the darkest story and best characters including demon lord beelzemon and royal knight gallantmon frontier had the best villain literally the satan digimon who is said to rival the existence of god aka Yggdrasil, lucemon the leader of the demon lords Data squad was the first to use Yggdrasil and the royal knights together and demon lord belphemon xros wars was the first time a villain actually made something used by the heroes aka the xross loader As well as the first power rangers like multi dimensional team up with other seasons Included lilithmon and leviamon And appmon was the first one to have a main character that looks like a girl, have the villain essentially already controlling the world, setting up the heroes for their final forms on purpose for it's own goals including literally making one of the main characters who is an android So when do we see barbamon?
