Hybrid hitbox takes the feeling of a dominus with the speed and precision of a octane. Personally this hitbox is the most slept on.

I was a hardcore venom main before the skyline dropped. I'm stuck with that hitbox forever now.

As a hybrid hitbox main the advantages definitely do seem to show up at lower speeds. I personally tend to go between the Nimbus, R3MX, insidio, and Endo usually in a kind of rotation

Great video, as always! Wanted to share my experience with the Hybrid hitbox. Imo it's quite underrated, it feels super agile especially in the air. The weaknesses still exist though and it makes sense why it hasn't caught on.

I would like to get some love to Endo. The most underrated car ever! Hybrid hitbox was also called Endo hitbox and Im really, really angry át Psyonix that they still release decals for cars like: Road Hog, Breakout Type S and such cars are nearly never used at all above plat, but Endo which is used at higher levels, even in GC did not get a single decal since 2017. There are only 2 decals for Endo, Mummified and Splatter. I see quite a few Jägers as well, but Jäger got alot of decals and Endo did not. Im asking, why? I see more people use endo at Champ than Jäger, then why they forgot about Endo? I cant accept it! I would like to get attention to Endo, cause its super underrated and forgotten car, but still one of the cleanest and most beautiful car in the game. Jäger is more popular despite its uglier. Endo gang where are you? Written by a GC who mains Endo since 2017.

Great video, cool to see the little differences between them and realistically how it affects the choice. You forgot the part where the skyline looks SO fucking good so it's hard to not want to look at. That's mainly why I use it.

I hope they release more Hybrid cars... Skyline is actually my most played car 😅 Also Skyline feels almost as good as Dominus in the air, idk why, but I can see where the front is on these 2 better than on other cars. edit: The way this video is made, I thought you had alot more views & way more subscribers! 🤨 One more, well done!

recently started using the skyline as my main after using octane for years, and honestly i really like it, its great for kickoffs because of its length and just feels very stable overall

10/10 video i can’t even give posting criticism because there isn’t any. One idea tho? ask pros their opinions on the non meta since youre not a pro yourself, maybe they have some insights! Like maybe do an ep where u ask them about the previous top 5 non meta episodes and see what they respond with! And make it a regular to ask the pros on non meta eps!

Nice to see the additional hit box info and well implemented to keep it short and retentive. The volumetric area of the Hybrid is, in principle, it's strongest feature. It does lose the front inclination that the Dominus has, which kind of causes it to lose the benefits that are otherwise exclusive to the Dominus and Breakout. I find that its top speed angular turning circle feels inferior to the Octane. Maybe it's to do with the center point of mass which seems to dictate this aspect in this. Although I don't know for sure. Another quality video man.

The hybrid, specifically the venom, was really good for my when I was trying to get my flick game to a decent level but efficient recoveries were often very tough.

the Hybrid is probably my favorite hitbox because some of my favorite cars in the game use it, with Dominus hitbox being 2nd because I really like the Dodge Charger

And that's the problem. That even the pros have said that they have put so many hours into the octane, they do not even want to play with different cars. Now, some people use the fennec more because it's been in the item shop and hopefully we see other types of cars in the pro scene like the f150 which has an octane hitbox

I don't think the disadvantages highlighted here are all that relevant. It's almost as wide and as long as the dominus, while being a lot taller. IMHO it's the perfect car choice for players who want to move on from the Dominus because they are tired of losing 50s. The main reason everyone is on the Octane/Fennec is because that's what the absolute best players in the worlds use (M0nkey M00n, Seikoo, Daniel, Firstkiller, Beastmode, JSTN). And why do these pros use these cars? Because the players who were the best when THEY were on the come-up all used Octane as well. All it takes is one (1) M0nkey M00n/Firstkiller type player to start maining the Tygris (or whataver other Hybrid car such as the Jäger 619) and the masses will follow. Sadly I don't think it will ever happen. Pros will still be copying each other 10 years from now and we'll still be on Octane/Fennec.

I'm 100% convinced that most pro's just use the octane because everybody does. Just how many switched to Fennec when a few pros started pointing out it matches the hitbox better. I know that sounds silly, but seeing how long CS pro's stuck to 4:3 black bars, or even 60hz when 120hz was available ''just because we're used to it'' I don't think any pro thinks about this stuff as much as most other people ;p A few exceptions of course.

I used the esper for a while when I opened one bc it looks cool and felt quite good in game people who are not used to its hitbox have difficulty reading it bc half the car is air

There were small segments of time where all I'd ever use was the Skyline. It felt overpowered due to how easy it is to boom the ball. I lacked car control in the air though. I ended up going to the Fennec and am able to get that same power and accuracy without having to sacrifice my aerial capabilities. Im in C3 and I don't see skylines as much as I used to when I was at the lower ranks.

Tried out the skyline and enjoyed it for a while over Octane but recently swapped back as it wasn't tall enough imo.

I main the skyline so im used to the pros/cons of the hybrid hitbox

as a high diamond player ive actually come to love skyline recently after finally actually trying it out. my hits are harder, dribbles and flicks are more consistent.

So here's my take on it, first off hybrid is my favorite hitbox. I'm right 1900 at this point so I played with most the cars that I have. I do not like the octane however there are some I can't hit boxcars I like such as the fennec or the outlaw. However my play style is more of what a dominus than anything else. Put the dominus height hitbox cars are not as agile on the ground as I need them to be. I tend to play with the season car that season last season I played a lot with the emperor probably about 80%. But this season I started using hybrid only. And it truly is the best of both worlds. I do not have the Nissan yet. Watch I'm able to get it that will be my number one hybrid car. But until then I played with the nimbus and the tygris. I'mma tell you was crazy though about five seasons ago I had a couple months where I play with the Jager only, and did not know that it was hybrid. And I loved playing with that car. Ice hybrid players are begging rocket league for a flagship car. Like a season car. Even the Merc got one.....

I find the Venom easily more aesthetically pleasing than the Octane.

I was kinda upset that the SRT wasn’t a hybrid hitbox. I felt like GTR and the SRT would’ve been the god tier duo combo that would potentially make pros switch 😂😂 They need to show more love to their hybrid hitboxes

TBH, the problem with the hybrid is just that: It's a hybrid. One might think moving the sliders inbetween would make a more optimal choice, but all it does is move both cars away from what makes each good at what they do. It's longer, but not long enough to give you the decent flicks you'd get out of a dominus (or plank). Instead, you find yourself just missing the ball more often than not. This length then hurts you in all the ways you mentioned. Bigger target. Turn radius and stability. The Octane as it stands is already "the average" car. You don't improve the average car by making a car that's the average between the average and another car.

The truth is that it's simply placebo. The differentce between hitboxes is pretty small, all of them can work in pro play.
