Rachel, I love your videos! I get really excited about new, healthy pusuits, too. I found you when I started Meta and now do Hamelin. I am patiently waiting for my plan post consult. Hamelin is a wonderful human! Right before I watched your video, I watched a TTap presentation and Teresa said that her mother died at 29 of brain cancer and Teresa's own doctors said she would not live much past 30 due to her genetic predisposition. I googled to see how old she was and saw that Teresa had passed away from breast cancer that she thought was in remission, but had spread to her liver. In the dry brush video she references breast health and a lump in her underarm. It is so sad that she died at 61, but I realized that she had lived twice as long as her doctors had predicted. Still too soon, but it seems like her work did her and others a lot of good. I am dealing with a swollen lymph node and feel like TTap has helped. After watching your video yesterday, I tried her dry brushing and it felt great! Thank you for sharing! I'm looking forward to more Hamelin and gut health videos!

Thank you for all the great context. There is a discussion ongoing tho which I haven't found the right answer. You may be able to shed some light on it. Does dry brushing damages the microbiome on our skin?

I actually had the honor of attending one of Teresa Tapp’s workshops before she passed away. Let me say she looked just as amazing in person as on video and she had such a kind, generous spirit. One of your other recent videos reminded me of this workout. I’ve been back at it and already seeing great changes. I’ve also been doing her dry brushing method. I believe there really is something to it!

Ahhh thank you so so much for sharing, Hannah! Isn’t it something how things cycle in and out of our lives at the right time? I have her book and it’s been so helpful in learning how to do the moves correctly.

I’ve been hearing about the benefits of dry brushing for years. It’s one of those things you have to make a part of your routine, just have to remember to do it. There’s also dry brushing for your face, I have the brush but yet to actually use it. It’s all about that first step.

a barber told me to get a boar brush and brush my facial hair to get my beard to "grow" and he was right, then, I applied the concept to my chest and chest hair has started to grow (i'm one of those bare-chested men, :o) I've been dry brushing my body for about 2 years. I use coconut oil, beard balms, and dry brush calcium bentonite clay on my skin.

Learning about Teresa Tapps death made me feel so sad and so angry - she died of a Tumor and her body filled up with ammonia over the course of a few days and couldn’t open her eyes or speak - she did so much work on her lymphatic system her whole life before all of this and it’s meant to prevent cancer and tumours and I don’t understand why she still had a tumor. It’s so confusing and upsetting. Rest in Peace Teresa 💔

Thank you so much for sharing, Countrygirl. I tried to look up what happen but couldn’t find anything. So tragic.
@PeaceIsYeshua
@PeaceIsYeshua Год назад
@@Countrygirl, it’s so sad, and I think it just has to do with the world we live in-who knows what she was exposed to at some point in her life that led to this. But, it seems she was healthy and vibrant pretty much her whole life and only went downhill towards the end? In that way, I think she lived a great life and she got to escape having to grow old. 😆 I do wish she was still around though. She sounds like an amazing lady. I’ve just started learning about T-Tapp. I had always avoided it because she puts the torso in a posture that according to some, can lead to female organ prolapse, which I’d like to avoid, so I’m a little confused about how to proceed with her exercises-they really do sound great other than that posture!

Unfortunately, cancer prevention is more complicated than it may seem. I mean, healthy lifestyle may prevent tumor development, but there're no measures that can certainly prevent cancer. We all use deodorants with aluminium, the air is polluted, some of us live in old houses that were built with asbestos. And the majority of us get sunburns that increase risk of melanoma.
@PeaceIsYeshua
@PeaceIsYeshua Год назад
@@MarieM-ui4bu I haven’t used deodorant with aluminum for 20+ years. The brand Real Purity works great for me (after trying sooo many). They think aluminum can lead to Alzheimer’s, so I stay away from it. You’re right though that there are so many factors, and some have a strong genetic tendency. I follow a man who has genetic colon cancer. It keeps coming back despite him doing everything right. 😔
@RundownwithRachel

@@MarieM-ui4bu very good points. There is some strange relief in knowing that there is only so much we can do.
