THANKS FOR BEING INFORMATIVE AND STRAIGHT TO THE POINTS. NOT LIKE OTHERS JUST SHARE SAME TEMPLATE FROM GOOGLE OF SET OF ECHOS, PRIORITY OF LEVELING UP SKIL AND BLA2 WITHOUT EXPLAINING WHAT IS THE FUNCTION OF VERINA.
Verina is undoubtedly a "must"-pick if you don't have her. All the points about her buffs and other finer points are not what's important tho. She is currently the ONLY good healer in the game. If you don't have her, running around the world exploring becomes a major pain. Constant warping back to heal. Constant waiting on Baizhi's (if you have that character) slow ineffective healing. I delayed spending points / getting Verina and so I know what a miserable experience it is, especially starting out when you are bad at dodging. However, her current must pick status has blinded the community to how good she actually is. I think a more fair long-term assessment is A-tier. Her opportunity cost is spending a little bit of time switching to / from her to keep her buffs going and recharge her healing points. The upside is the buffs and that she can provide healing when needed. The downside is that she takes up a character slot while being fairly "low impact" besides healing. The harder bosses in the game have many attacks that one-shot you or deal too much damage to be solved with healing. Most challenges where combat must be min-maxed revolve around killing the enemies within a certain time. Viable alternative healers and shield characters will get released, with better damage potential. Players will only get better at dodging/parrying. I'll give a practical example. Imagine you've a nice dps duo using some yet to be released characters. You are looking to defeat a level 100 boss, massive health pool, but you just can't get it down within 5 min. To win, you swap out Verina (assumed S-tier with synergy as support) for Encore (assumed A/B-tier, no synergy just another dps). Encore's only job is to switch in every 10-20 seconds when there is down-time in ability rotations, use her ridiculously strong resonance skill and switch out again (triggering her special heavy attack if it's up). Every use of Encore's skill is about as strong as a typical resonance liberation, and her outro skill (when it triggers) does about as much as well. In addition to making it possible to win: A shorter fight means less dodging needed, less dodging means less failed dodging, less failed dodging means less healing needed.
Somehow i got all standard characters except lingyang. Got encore in beginner in 40 pulls. Got calcharo because lost jiyan 50/50 in 20 pulls Pick verina in selector And get jianxin in 20 pulls. I’m very happy with my luck so far.
so how do you use her on field to maximize the buffs? is it just skill or skill and burst or do you need to weave in some NA and CA to get all the buffs?
main thing is making sure to trigger her outro skill especially if you have her on 5 pc moonlit set to get the additional atk% buffing. because of this ER is very important on her. additionally for her healing/coordinated attack she needs her burst.
Personally I use Encore with Jianxin and she does a great job grouping. Probably not a meta pick but as a sub did that can shield and heal she will likely age better than other units. That’s just my take. We don’t know what other units are coming down the line.
Because of the fact that in some endgame modes you’ll need up to 3 teams, I think regardless of power creep she’ll still stay relevant for a good while. They’d need to release 3 characters that do her role better than she does to phase her out. This means she’ll likely be relevant for a solid year likely at least.
even if she does get powercreep she'll honestly be in a better spot than some beginner or standard gacha healers compared to say Qiqi or Bailu. as doing more than just healing or mitigation means you're gonna be treated pretty highly.
