I did once mistake "an occurrance" for a cat? Was staying in this big old house my parents had at the time. I was staying up late, probably drawing or something, when I heard a glass fall over / drop in the kitchen next to the room I was in. A very recognizable sound, glass on wood (not a breaking glass). "Damn cats!" I thought annoyed and went to pick up the glass. There was no cat and no glasses fallen over or on the floor or nothing. And nothing else either I could think would have made that sound. Creepy. Both of my parents saw a dark figure of a man around the kitchen several times. And I don't even believe in ghosts...
