I love this game because it not a full sim. I don't want to always spend hours figuring out tire pressure or set ups that I really don't understand. If I want to change cars in ACC I need a coach Dave's setup for each car in order for the car to feel good. Yes PC sims have better graphics and physics but they also feel quite bulky in the amount of time it takes to get comfortable with them. GT7 felt strange at first but after a few hours I fell in love. Is it perfect no, but it is fun and thats what a game should be.
That's the thing. When someone hands you his car keys you don't do any setup, you jump in and enjoy the experience trying to do your best. All these games are betting on setups so you don't know if its the car, the driver or the setup that is good.
@@Spark972 When you are driving some racing car on a race truck setups are quite important but not for normal cars. Also even race cars have a basic setup that more or less the car is drivable. You may not get the times you want but you can drive it and get something out of it. Anyway although GT has some elements that are not exactly full sim i think at the same time the more full sim loyal games aren't exactly as realistic as they think ether. I have noticed many times that the supposed full sim titles may make the car slide around more than any real car ever would just so they can pretend they are hard therefore realistic, they also seem to forget that cars have weight and the driver feels that weight, they aren't just ice skating around. GT actually nails that very well. You can actually feel the weight of the car and the limits of it better. If you ask me GT is about as real driving simulator as any of the other realistic sims because what it loses in detail setup or maybe some forgiving car bumping or how you can race certain cars etc it actually wins it threw the actual racing and feel of the car. I know some will go crazy by me saying that their full sim titles actually mimic the behavior of a real car less loyally than GT but i stand behind it. Just because something is super hard to control doesn't mean is more realistic and some sim racers seem to think that way.
@@SIPEROTH yes I agree with you about the non-realistic state of some "sims" when I see GT race cars that are understeering at 40Km/h. Those big cars are setup as if they only have aerodynamic grip (so need speed) but with 0 mechanical grip which doesn't make sens at all !
There is an OFF TRACK setting in lobbies to turn on or off. When on it maintains grip off track so you can recover, with it off it’s more realistic where you lack traction.
With the DD PRO and PS5 this is by far the most fun, immersive, customizable game I've put my hand on and It always leaves me wanting to come back for more. The ability to make every single car different through tunning and customizations is a blast to have in a Gran Turismo game. Have not fired up ACC or FH5 since this came out....there is simply no comparison.
@@sandroinocencio1623 what makes it better? I’ve never played it. But it seems like ACC is only race cars. Are there any normal cars to drive? Like a stock Subaru WRX or any other type of daily driven cars? That’s what I love about GT games. Same with the insanely in depth photo mode.
@@Schwing27 The physics and tyre model in Assetto Corsa is a thousand times better and more realistic than the physics and tyre model in GT 7. GT 7 is basically an arcade racer in comparison. Everything about GT 7 is great, except for the lackluster physics and tyre model, and the horrible greedy way in which the developpers are trying to convince fans to do micro transactions. The thing i really dont like about GT 7 is the ridiculously over the top snap-oversteer you get on RWD cars (when you open the throttle). There is zero progression in the rear end of the car sliding out when breaks loose under power. Rear end just snaps out like its been fired out of a canon. Catching slides also doesn't seem to feel right or work in a realistic way. I think the cars feel and behave as though they have no weight to them as well. Just my opinion though. You might really enjoy the game when you try it.
As some one who can nolonger afford to keep up with the PC upgrades for a few years now a ps5 and gt7 ACC and alot of other racers out there on console I'm having a very good time. I played iRacing from its infancy and as life goes on (I'm pushing 50) sometimes you nolonger have the disposalble income to invest in the stuff the fuels your passion, games like gt7 fill the void. I know "ItS NoT a ReAl SiM" but it dose a great job at what it dose. I'm glad that I spent a large amount of my redundancy package on a rig for ps5 just for this game a few years back, the DD1 podium was a excellent purchase.
I found myself in a similar situation to yourself and treated myself a few year's back to various consoles last was an xbox with Forza 7,Asseto Corsa and Project cars 2,I went to Forza as had owned a 70 Pontiac GTO and there was a 68 GTO on there and I'd been or driven in other muscle cars due to work and found the car choice on Forza suited me and love the game, however I started on PS1,2,3 and GT 1,2,4,5,6 and if I remember the prototype 1, saw GT7 was out and thought how much I missed the GT games and how since around 97 id come back from work after long hours or weekends if I shift worked and play my games,my first on ps1 was Porsche Challenge and then of course got bitten by the GT bug,it was always there old faithful,as I could no longer afford the real cars I loved I returned to model making and started gaming and totally love it. I'm late 50's so great to see folk of all age's love these games, one I saw in a thread was 83,so a big thumbs up,I cant keep up with consoles due to cost so look at it once I get a console break its cost down ie how long I use it and divide it over years use I get till get the next, after a few years it pays for itself ie £2 or £3 per week including games, that's a cup of coffee or was about a pint of beer though cant remember what a pint costs as when I started going out a pint was 80p and last time I was out it was closer to £4. From now I'm sticking with GT7 which I'm getting this week and Forza Motorsport 7,I watched loads on GT7 and chatted with folk on RU-vid and it looks and sounds like a new version of the GT series I love and missed,I love the mix between sim and arcade and these games have that and then some. Game on,wishing you health, happiness and many happy years of gaming.
Hey man if it's fun it's fun, don't pay mind to what other people say. I'm in my 30s and building my first sim rig. I grew up on the gt series and the early forzas, top gear rally on n64 and others. I'm fortunate enough that I decided to just send it on a full rig and am super excited to get into it. No podium dd but I did get the csl dd. Clubsport v3 pedals. Man you should look into building a pc, they are very powerful now and you could build something more than capable for probably alot less than you think
Hi Michael, I'm late'ish 50s and like you in a similar situation, dont know if consoles seem to come out more often or as we age time flies by quicker, last console I got was Xbox 1 with Forza MS7 Horizon 3,4,asseto Corsa,Project cars 2,and kept my Xbox360 glad I did as want to revisit the older Horizon 1 and 2 plus Forza 2,3,4. I regret selling my PS3 with GT5,6, but had to as had discovered the 68 Pontiac GTO was on Forza 4 and at the time was desperate as had owned a real GTO 1970 and to have one on the game was cool. Now I'm itching to get GT7 to relive my GT 1-6 days, since I got the Xbox 360 years back I put aside £5 pw for my console/games,it adds up,as the old saying goes ie cost of a pint of beer when I started was 80p and now 5 times that and save 5 or 10 pounds pw,gaming brings so much happiness, feeling of well being,I dont look too much into the sim vs arcade but admire people who enjoy either, for me owning or being in a fair few of the Muscle cars in real life Forza feels real enough and does a great job,Gran Turismo has it's own magic too. Wishing yourself and fellow gamers health, happiness and many years of gaming.
I am there with you Will. My wife says I am like a "Kid in a candy store". At 48 years old, it allows me to do no risk racing. After going through so many Modified cars as well as track and street racing, this allows me to be home and safe. Being new to the Sim racing scene, i am using GT as a a teaching point for me to improve on my "woeful" attempt with ACC. however, with ACC, I think my style of driving is not best for GT3, but GT2.
i think you nailed the review, i agree with just about everything, i do think there are areas where visually GT7 beats games like ACC on pc (i also have a high end pc, 3080ti), the lighting and quality in HDR is amazing, probably the best ive seen personally, a track like daytona at night in 4k HDR looks amazing and i don't think much on pc comes that close to it, but then on the flip side you have things like the interior of the OG dodge viper that just looks incredibly shit, shockingly bad in fact when you see the dials lacking enough poly's to be round, and then it flips again and you see they went to enough attention to make sure when a gear is selected the gear lever is moved into the right position and its just like wow thats nice attention to detail. i think perhaps the only other area i dont fully agree on is the AI quality, while they are good at times and clearly using race craft, they are not f1 2021 good, for example ive seen the AI working behind me to get the draft even when im weaving left and right ive seen the AI weave with me which was cool to see but they dont react like the AI in f1 2021 to the situation around them very well, for example in F1 2021 ive seen the AI slam an brakes and swerve when brake tested, they dart left or right out of the way when you drift their direction, wheras in GT7 they dont really react to what you are doing much, only what seems like preset scripts such as draftin the player on a straight if they are within a certain distance of you, its good but i do think its a step behind F1 actually. everything else spot on, i think sound is one of the biggest leaps over previous games, the controller is also really good to use, i use a simucube 2 pro on pc and fanatec are dragging their feet with my DD pro that should be in the post right now.
You're right, lighting in GT7 is something amazing I've never seen before, specially when racing at night or dusk, or when fog start forming and the sun and car lights reflects from it
in my opinion those licenses is amazing. when i was a kid growing up the challenge of getting them all on gold was amazing and im so glad that they gave us a shit load of them in gt7
Yeah when i look back at my memories i remember all the torture of those licenses and the amazing happiness i felt when i nailed them. I was literally doing one tests for three days just to get that gold. 10 hours every day for three days. It was that hard to nail that one and when i got it i was just so proud. At the time you feel a little annoyed and frustrated but afterwards looking back at them you really have fond memories of all the attempts and effort. I wonder if they are still as hard as they used to be or they toned it down so more people can get them easier.
@@SIPEROTH jup. That was such an amazing feeling. And i remember my dad made a deal with my mom that me and him could stay up all night playing video games. So me and my dad were just vibing and doing those licenses.
Maybe its just me but GT1 & 2 were amazing, but the rest are plain boring. I don't want to race AI, the whole thing feels very stagnant to me. iracing is immersive and edgy - i love it. My personal preference is Toca Race Driver 3 was the best online experience even if it was not a sim.
Can you do a video on the in game inflation and the fact that the daily races are pay-to-win I don't know about the rest of you but I think that is s***

I was in my mid twenties when the PS1 hit the scene. Young, single and going fast on sports bikes was my addiction. Taunting fate on the weekends with my mates then ending up at the blokes place who had an enormous rear projection tele racing each other on Grand Turismo or Need For Speed, marveling at the realistic graphics until passing out on his lounge at around stupid o'clock. Fast forward to Covid and sim racing gains traction in the public arena and my kids PS4 is commandeered and I'm going fast again from the comfort of my lounge with GTsport. Fast forward another two years and I'm typing this from my very modest rig using the PC that was built to go sim racing......Can't help feeling Its gone full circle with GT7 or maybe back to the future. It looks like a remake of the original when what I wanted was a leap forward and a expansive new GTsports. Anyway, a great, balanced review and I'm sure GT7 will usher in a new generation of sim racers. Looks like my kids have commandeered the PS5........Cheers
Glad to hear its a new strong starting point in the series for the newer generations haha. Did you get to play Tourist Trophy? It came later on the PS2 but it would have been a shame for you to miss it! It was easily as good as GT 3 or 4 but with Motorcycles instead.
To buy one of the best cars it will cost you 1000s of gameplay or about $40. This game isn't important to anyone buy greedy ass sony. Dont bother with this one. Stick to real racing simulators
Any game no matter how good, in my opinion should never have obligatory online conection for offline play. For as much as i loved Gran Turismo, this is a unforgiveble sin.
Let’s be honest… The real reason they only have 400 cars this time is not to ensure the highest quality it’s to ensure the ability to charge you a fortune over the next five years for cars that should have been in the game originally. Hence five dollar cars now costing $30.
Then they claimed that you could sell unwanted cars. But at launch, you can't. Lol first GT game I'll skip. Monitization and always online single player mode is just predatory.
I think we're about the same age with the same path from PS1 onward. With that in mind, I think there is one glaring omission from this video, and that's the push for microtransactions. Never in GT1 or 2, all the way up to sport, have I also been made to feel like nothing but a money sack to Polyphony. It seriously affects my enjoyment of the title when I can't sell cars; money requires grinding instead of organically getting it through fun; the joke of a roulette, and being told at every opportunity that hey I can pay cash for credits. It really kills the mood for me and I think many others as well.
The other really bad part is that even the single player content needs you to be online to be accessible. That is just horrible. To this day i have my old consoles and GT games. Even now i sometimes pop in GT4 or GT2(my two most favorites) for some racing. Well good luck trying this with GT7. Won't happen. the moment server support stops even the single player will be lost.
@@SIPEROTH I see no one talking about these two glaring offenses. Also the oblivious reactions from Polyphony. They also lied about being able to sell cars in their advertising. First GT game I won't pay even half price for.
Being a cross-gen game the PS5 version could only push the game so far, since the experience had to be the same on both the PS4 & PS5 platforms, if it could have been a PS5 exclusive PD could have focus on the limits of the PS5 hardware.
Man I remember playing Gran Turismo to death back in the 90s. I have not played a racing game since. I picked up GT 7 on a whim and it has really brought me back to that time in my life. I’m hooked. I am jumping in head first and building a rig.
Coming from GTSport, I thoroughly liked the grinding aspect of them game. But i think its more nostalgic than anything. Love GT7, hope theres more to come!
The grip/tire model, in both dry and wet, in my opinion are better than those in iRacing. I know GT7 is not the "simmiest sim", but the way the tires feel alone is enough for me to put GT7's physics above those of iRacing. Obviously ACC, rF2, RR, etc, are all way way more realistic, but to me iRacing does not feel like a real car, at all.
I hope to god Turn 10 realise that Horizon keeps arcadey peeps happy and to make the next Forza Motorsport sim worthy to the point it get's up by the iRacing / professional driver community.
I don't get it! Why not just make the best SIMULATION possible with the best phisics and let the player pick between simulator or arcade with the level of dificulty he wants? That would make everyone happy and be a HUGE game changer with modern games graphics and realism!
I think alot of people reviewing this game are letting their history with GT and their nosalgia with GT overshadow the problems with this game. Its not a bad game by any means. It just seems like there should of been more. For the first game in 5 years i was expecting alot more over GTSport but its just not there
I've been deep into assetto corsa modding and drifting and open wheel racing and honestly? I dont care how much better the physics are. At the end of the day, GT7 is a GAME. and I like games more than physics models. I haven't had this much fun in a racing game since i was in elementary school.
Kinda wish GT 7 was a ps5 exclusive just to get a far more visually impressive game. Better environments, etc... It looks great no doubt, but I was hoping for one of the best looking racing games to date.
Do you recommend getting the DD Pro + V3 pedals (and selling the CSL pedals) or just sticking with the CSL + Loadcell? I recently found your videos because of GT7. GT7 brought back my love, I put loads of hours into the older GT games, in college I had the cheap Logitech GT wheel and put maybe hundreds of hours into GT5, so many hours that my ps3 died during a multi-hour race I was doing, haha. I honestly hope to see DLC for this game, I would love even more content
I think you sum it up best, It’s great game for car enthusiasts but not sure it’s a great game for racing game enthusiasts, it has its strong point for sure but the cafe menu races themselves with the rolling starts and the online multiplayer leaves a lot to be desired
I think the multiplayer is a work in progress. Did a couple of race C online last night (my first dabble with online) and had an absolute blast. A few idiots, but mainly fair and equally matched opponents in a day/night transition Daytona with tyre and fuel strat included. The platform is there for it to become an excellent multiplayer game.
Hopefully the AI difficulty gets a scaling option with a higher difficulty when they integrate the Sophie machine learning based AI. Also, a hardcore mode would be nice. While damage is probably not in the cards, it would be nice to see more punishing results when colliding with other cars or the track.
Love it!! Great video!! It’s my first foray into sim-racing with a rig. Got the DD Pro. Also, the graphics aren’t a limitation of the PS5, as much as them being held back by the game supporting PS4 and parody with that. The graphical engine doesn’t allow for upgraded stuff as much for this reason.
Will, can you please do a video comparison on the new ACC PS5 next gen version and the PC version. A separate review would also be incredibly awesome too! Many thanks in advance
Good idea! Might be worth letting the patch that’s due out this week arrive first, as the current force feedback isn’t implemented correctly for certain brands of wheels. On Fanatec if feels a step back from the PS4 version in its current state and Kunos/505 have acknowledged this.
@@calumrobertson2996 I’ve played both versions. I’m well aware the console update was lackluster but that has nothing to do with what you originally said

What micro transactions lol, you can literally unlock everything in a week or two just racing, then buying the extra cars you want with in game credits.
Hey dude - relatively new Subscriber and love what you are doing with your channel. Great review of GT7 aswell. I just wanted to point out the background music is a little high and i would recommend that you lower it a little because it drowns you out i feel. This is just my subjective opinion and in no way a demand of you. Good luck mate.
brilliant video of you crashing and smashing into practically everything on and off the road....was LOL repeatedly as I thought it was wondering when you were filming my own racing attempts on GT7.
25 years invested big disappointment I don't care about wind direction. I wanted a racing game. Not a weather game I just want to jump in a car and race bloody hell.🤣
I prefer the original GT career mode instead of the menu book thing they have going on here. I was hoping GT7 was going to be very like GT4 remastered.
Yeah that would have been better. GT4 for me was top. And the graphics were wow for the time as well. I couldn't believe my little humble PS2 was showing all that.
I wouldn't be surprised if they add the traditional career/gt league later on. This is exactly how GT Sport was, then they added "beginner, amateur, pro & endurance" leagues later. Every single main GT release has it, I hope they do the same for GT7.
Not to be a hater, but it feels like this game is running on nostalgia and looks grounded in the past from graphics to gameplay. If it didn’t have GT name behind it, I can’t help but think it would be viewed as a fairly mediocre racing title.
I got it for PS4 now, because a PS5 is harder to get than a mid-range graphics card. I also got myself an extremely simple budget steering wheel, the Hori RWA Apex... I don't want to use a controller for a game like this. And when I eventually have a PS5 and a really good 4K monitor and still keep playing GT7, I'll get a good steering wheel too. I'm already quite good with the controller, even with the lack of feedback from a DualShock 4... but in some corners it lacks the sensitivity and the steering angle.
You do know Forza Motorsport 8 will be Series X/S only, unlike GT7 still straddling old and new tech. Why is Horizon always cited as being the Xbox SIM racer when it's not that at all?
@Ju Ha I'm Xbox and Forza all the way. Don't need to play other racers. GT while looking and playing good is ruined by Sony greed and unrealistic grinding 👎
We're definitely not at the limits of what the PS5 can do visually. There are already way better looking games on the platform. GT7 looks great, but it's ultimately held back by being a PS4 game at its core. A PS5 only GT (or more likely PS5/PS6) would look significantly better.
Your review is spot on. I truly wished PS would have more support for monitors like Xbox does(1440p and VRR)4k is so taxing but I understand most consoles are played on big TV’s and low res doesn’t look that great on a massive 65” screen.
You and me both, started GT on PS1, got into real cars, got my Supra in Turbo Magazine, got married with kids. Playing more games at home but I still have my Supra, and still modding it :). Yes, you are expecting too much from the PS5. It's using a cut down version of the 6700XT. I think it's doing a pretty good damn job at 4k with mostly 60fps with the level of detail it currently has.
Hey Will, thank you for a more intelligent review which comes from your experience of full on sims that many in the gaming industry don’t have and being honest about what GT7 is. Gran Turismo 7 is still Gran Turismo, a simcade title that is as much about car culture and history as it is racing and there’s nothing wrong with that though personally I’d love for it to be as realistic in physics as possible, I’d still enjoy the title if I had a compatible wheel.
Great review! There’s a reason you have that many subs. I was hoping for multiplayer to be more like sport with focus on driving and not tuning. But it is still an important game to get more people in the hobby. Maybe ACC and iRacing will benefit in the long run. I still prefer ACC for its triple monitor support but I’m still having fun with this new GT7.
Hi there, the reason why GT7 graphics are not much different from GT Sport is because it’s a cross gen game, they created it in a way that it’s playable on PS4, the next Gran Turismo game will see a leap in graphics and physics as it won’t be bogged down so that it’s playable on the PS4. Enjoying your videos 👍🏻
Im new to the gt series, and sim/arcade sim games, i like gt7 overall since i can hop in almost any car i want to thats just a regular street car and race on track, but i am now hating starting at the back every single time and now further in expected to catchup 40+ seconds to win. Is there something similar out there on any platform that i can take a regular every day car and track it but do qualifying instead of back of pack?
Nice review ! I'm still lost about simracing... I do track day irl with my car, but I can't do anything good at my PC (Assetto). I recently test driven a PS4 with GT sport, it was better than on my PC but still not at my real life level. I'd like to do some sim racing but this is 50x harder than tracking a real car. Don't know if PS5+GT7 will solved this...
It's called sim(simulation)..racing..of course it's different than racing in real life. We're you using a controller or a good quality wheel setup? Good racing wheels can give pretty good feedback sensations from tire slip, brake lockup, running over curbs, and so on but it's still not like racing in real life where you're feeling these things from the seat and not just through a steering wheel. Full motion rigs add more immersion by also simulating different conditions but it will never feel just like real life.
A lot of people in both real life racing cars and flying planes have difficulty transferring to sims because of the lack of cues they rely on like gforces, peripheral vision, depth perception etc. It can be easier to go the other way, sim to real than the other way around, but it varies person to person.
Great game, but that grind wall when you hit it is awful, there is so many racing varieties in there now, with drag, drift, rally, music rally, etc, yet there is a distinct lack of actual 'championships', no qualifying, the fact all events (bar the odd rally) are chases from last, is a joke. Otherwise steller, but you can tell they deliberately skimmed off the top to cater for microtransactions and frustration so people get their wallet out. See it wouldn't be so bad if they released the game, occasional updates like they do, but actually do a DLC paid for pack, that includes additional tracks and championships to do. Like £20 for a 5 track pack with 10-15 tournaments and a few bonus new cars/car brands. Give us some drift, drag and more rally tournaments to do! And the game needs a digital player house area/garage for you to walk around, where you can store a set amount of your favourite cars and admire them all together (higher level bigger space), along with the ability to check previous race details, at least let us see what car we previously used for races (nightmare when you do a race in a group, come back to it later and forget what you did it in).
There are some really weird tuning glitches. Sometimes a change of 1% or 1 Kg will change your pp by massive amounts, 30 pp or more. It is glitchy as hell in tuning. The real thing that concerns me is the Multiplayer Lobby. It is broken in so many ways. You can't save a room settings. You can't change anything once the room is setup, except starting the race. It is a modern game where they can fix stuff as they go. It is sad after 5 years to see this is the result. I still play it, but disappointed.
If it's anything like GT5 and 6 you won't recognize the game in a year. They'll probably be bringing updates quite often and fix a ton of stuff and add a ton of stuff.
I call BS on your 1% dropping 30pp absolutely not. I detuned my GT3 evo last night to 700pp and I had todrop over 200hp to do so to around 79% tune and 78% power, they have already brought out an update only after a week or release to fix afew things and there will be plenty more to come as they have stated with cars and tracks being added with updates. Yes the multi-player side is abit of a mess atm but almost all, multi-player releases are when they first launch. This is the major part they are working on to rectify. Look at gt5 and gt6 they from release they are completely different games now. I personally still prefer GT6 for car selection over all games.
@@ruffrider6653 that'd be suicide: sales of PS consoles would be affected. Leading to possible loss of GT in console. I really don't want to be tethered to constant PC upgrades. No thanks.

Great video! I definitely found my way from NFS2 to Forza and GT. Actually, the fact that Forza completely ditched the "sim" series and went with Horizon pissed me off so much that I ended up finding true simulation lol. Cheers
Great review and nicely narrated! GT1 also gave me 'the bug' back in 1998. With regards to the graphics, we are now at a point that we almost reached the ceiling of how good and realistic graphics can look, so the improvements won't be leaps and bounds anymore from one generation to the next like it was back in the days when GT was the benchmark. When I look at PS1 games now I can't imagine how on earth I found those cutting edge one time :D
NEW CONTENT? What we need is a new video with the depth and detail BM brings that determines what is the best performance wheel/base solution for GT7 Yet looks at this from the perspective of ALSO comparing PC based DD wheelbase/pedals/rims and adapter options What is not certain is if a wheel like Logitech G Pro can be used (via adapters) with PC pedals or how the offical licenscend products compare with highend DD wheelbases? Do the adapters like Drivehub nerf the FFB or experience and or what the drawbacks are.
This game is a f****ing cash grabbing grave, ridiculous! I am really surprised how this game gets this fame, even from Simracing RU-vidrs. To be crystal-clear: - Cash-grabbing on steroids, either you spend HUNDREDS of Dollars to affor some vehicles, or you give up your job and grind credits for MONTHS (after paying a full price for this title) - The driving experience is not even simcade, the FFB a bloody joke (played it with Fanatec DD Pro! Also, there is no possibility to alter FFB settings in any form. For example the ridiculous always present centering force in corners, covering every other effect to a large extent. I am not even sure whom I should blame more, the youtubers, being so uncritical about the title and doing the customers a big dis-favor or Sony for being a absolute dick squeezing every possible penny out of the customers.
The game is a JOKE! 40 bucks for an ordinary car, 200 for a lengenday one! Graphics look like generated by a PS3, mandatory online, physics are ridiculous and the list keeps going on. Even the damn Forza Motorsports 7, wich is 5 years old looks A LOT better and, as a driving game simply obliterates GT 7. It's important, yes; An important scam.
Goodbye from here to Playstation and Xbox... Why? Because both are to pricy and keep development down. How is that... Yaa, next 7 years will be on the same hardware roughly... Only Xbox have so far given us some more offen hardware update. Therefore we wil in most game suffer on pc.... Development follows money.... Therefore games developed to Playstation and Xbox will for most tittles not get the full potential of PC-hardware.... It have been like this for a long time, except for pc-tittle only and a few others.... For me it will be my pc from here and a "game" like GT-7 is a joke, when it comes to racing-simulation... It is a game.... Enjoy spending a lot of money, but from here, no-more....
"Aiming for a wider audience"???? Its PS only!!!! Sorry but why would anyone who does not already own a PS4/5 think for a moment about buying one for a game with, lets face it, awful graphics?
Polyphony messed up the franchise this time around with the predatory monitization and "always online" which would end career mode when the servers go down. Also the fraudulent advertising. Meh. I have all previous GTs. I wouldn't pay more than half price for GT7.
What a great review, a hell of a lot better than some others that just berate the game for not being as visual as Forza but for me, Forza is arcade and GT has always tried to dip its toes into the sim world but without loosing the playability for all. Personally, i take physics over visuals all day long
You should try ACC or Iracing if you take physics over everything....GT7 is a great game...as well as Forza 7...but they are for the masses. You can bootup and start racing in not time. There is nothing wrong if this is what you want...but physics in GT7 is nowhere near reality IMO. BTW i play ACC ; Iracing ; RR ; Automobilista on VR and triples.
@@akinsoyleyen I have played Assetto Corsa in VR and absolutely loved it but my pc could not run ACC in VR but i hear it is not really geared towards VR. I am on the fence at the moment in if i should try Automobilista, i hear mixed reviews.
@@Largallama In terms of pure physics ; all of the games you mentioned ACC; Automobilista or any sim game is better than GT7. Its natural since its almost impossible to actually analyze all the cars in game. Thats why you dont see alot of cars in sim games. Iracing sells each car they release because they require a lot of R&D. BTW you dont need to play them on VR just have a large 32 inc or something and you are good to go.
I think they did wrong by making this a ps4 and ps5 game. Should've been a ps5 exclusive from the beginning, maybe this compromised the game in some areas like graphics
Hard game to review as it’s lifespan will change it heaps. The next GT prob won’t come out until PS5 is about to be replaced which could be a decade away even. Kinda trippy to think about.
@@RSProduxx Sorry I was trying to make a joke about waiting so long for them - only for them to come out on the same day. But yeah hopefully we get to see something soon.
@boostetmedia those red wheelbase mounts you are using? Where can i get those? I‘m waiting for my DDpro being delivered and would like to use that kind of mounting.
my only complaint since gran turismo 1 are the controls, i was all hyped for 2 and when i tried it i started hating it! 3 was even worse not so much for the the controls but for the reduced variety, 3 corrected the variety but with those controls is unplayable for me. i wish there was an official pc port so i could mod it with the original gt1 physics.
I got to say I do not even play it. As long as only the GT wheel is supported for this game. Sure we can use other wheels but we can not customize them. So this for me is a big no no it almost made me cry. I ain't buying no GT wheel
Not sure if you know him but I am very confused by Reviewtechusa’s take on the game being the most overrated ever. You should watch it, it’s interesting
Single player career mode is lackluster to me. Well I can't call it a career mode. It's basically a car collector game where I get to race the cars, but pay extra money if I am too impatient to grind. And they are playing on that impatience.
lmao people are like " just make it with realistic physics bro" like its an easy task. one day people will realize that even the most loved "sim" titles run on mostly made up fantasy physics
The intro hit spot on, even down to our same choice of "sports" car ;). I now have invested more into sim hardware due to the constant real life track and car maintenance costs. I'm happy to see game developers really stressing the real life physics into these games. Makes for way more fun than an arcade style racer.
