Man I remember when I USED TO DISAGREE WITH YOU HARD ABOUT THIS. But super has regressed Vegeta just to get us to believe that he was going to get a win over a main villain. At least in GT they never got our hopes up about that. Vegeta in GT wasnt concerned about being better than Kakarot anymore and DID develop as a chatacter even tho he took a back seat as a fighter but that's ok. Character development is KEY in any story!!
How could you ever disagree? Sure super gives pieces of development that fit vegeta and could mold him into how he behaves in gt but it also forces him into acting like his younger self.
Although I agree GT Vegeta is better still Super Vegeta still got the development. He appreciate his wife's presence more than Z a good father figure and a funny side as a friend and is the most durable character to me in the junk load of dated characters they tried to milk money out of. But Goku is still a failure
While i do agree that Super Vegeta does have nice character development although he is slightly regressed when he is still obsessed over beating Goku. I guess Toriyama didn't had any other ideas so he had Vegeta still had that rivalry. I love that in GT Vegeta motivation to be strong was to better himself and being curious of his limits than consider beating Goku as his life goal. I thought it felt more natural progression. Does GT have issues? Yes it does. I wish GT could have utilized Vegeta's character bit more.
Did you not notice how dedicated he has become toward his family? Hell, he flat out refused to participate in the Tornument of Power so he could be there where Bulma gives brith. He prioritized his family over the battle of a lifetime. He learned how to swallow his pride and shown legit care for other like Cabba and Roshi.
AND YET, this is the same Vegeta who gets butthurt about Goku using KaiokenX10 and always keep whining about how he's going to surpass beerus, even thought he gave up this shit in the buu saga.. Writing of DBS is inconsistent AF.
@@விஷ்ணு_கார்த்திக் and he never thought of surpassing BEERUS in the buu saga. And while Gokus something that irritates Vegeta (even though let's be honest, they're friends now), Beerus was something much more. A threat to his father and his family, even his race. THAT is gonna be something Vegetas gonna hold onto till he rights Beerus's wrongs.
@@விஷ்ணு_கார்த்திக் Bro, he isn't butthurt he always finds a way to surpass Kakarot. He's not butthurt, but hes just jealous, he does intend to surpass beerus but he probaly will become the g.o.d after Beerus. Let's be honest he didn't give up, he just couldn't do much since he died, also he was only able to go ssj2 so.
This is been sort of a problem ever since super came out some fans want to cling to Super even though it is a pitiful show of all the characters in Dragon Ball to me it is exactly like what Dragon Ball Z abridged did Hollow characters in a hollow plot points an utterly Horrible character development I agree with you that GT Vegeta is way better just like GT Goku is way better then they're ridiculous super counterparts but just like I said all the time Dragon Ball super will never fit into the original continuity of Dragon Ball Dragon Ball Dragon Ball Z and GT that is canon already written in stone there's no changing that I just think that fans of super either fell to realize that GT is canon I just don't want to read about the early works of GT and how it actually was created Akira Toriyama did have earlier Works in it or maybe super fast just want to ignore this fact you try to put down GT Vegeta had to try to scale down GT Fighters when Dragon Ball GT Warriors would be far greater and Power and character development than their super counterparts I wanted things that kind of makes me laugh is that Dragon Ball fans awfully cling on to the fact that Broly from Dragon Ball dislike Broly because he hit uses the whole Kakarot name over and over again because they do not want to read into it I know that there is more to the old Broly then it meets the eye but I won't go into that but that insult to injury to Super version of Vegeta the writers turn supers version of Vegeta into the new old Broly with Vegeta saying Kakarot this and Kakarot that but I guess supers version of Vegeta gets a pass right and super fans want to stomp on GT Vegeta when the only time the Vegeta ever mentions Kakarot is that of admiration towards Goku in GT any it even going as far to fuse with Goku in GT I agree with you with that was excellent character development in GT but I sort of think these super fans wants to this new hype blows over years down the road will realize just how much garbage Dragon Ball super was he probably feel a little ashamed of themselves that they allowed themselves to be suckered in by it super was created by money hungry people who only want a profit out of it it was not made for old school Dragon Ball fans who actually enjoy Dragon Ball but you make an excellent point.
Just realized that most DB fans only care about power levels and transformations instead of character development and storytelling, just sad, GT Vegeta was really a badass and much better than Super Vegeta
I don't see where the problem is, Vegeta has only recognized that Goku is the strongest, what's wrong with wanting to overcome the strongest? Goku initially thinks he can beat Beerus but realizes during the clash that he is the strongest and rightly wants to overcome him, Vegeta has only finally recognized that Goku is stronger than him and he understood why, that's all. I don't see how recognizing someone's superiority means giving up on overcoming him
Exactly in fact recognizing the strength of Goku at all and constantly admiring that he will always be better then you is pretty much the same obsession of wanting to be stronger then him only was IMO more considerably admirable.
When Vegeta said Goku was number one, he didn't mean it as a matter of circumstance. Goku wasn't king of the moment. It was a declaration that he is and always will be number one, which is why he could never truly surpass him,at least not for long. SS3 -- heck even SS2 proved it because he had to take the Majin Seal just to be on equal footing! Vegeta knew and finally admitted that Goku was the superior warrior, and he gave up his crusade. GT reflects this in Vegeta's demeanor and disposition toward Goku. Super on the other hand just ignored this and went back to Vegeta's old song and dance because it's easier to write I guess.
@@markss367 *"vegeta has good development in super"* No he doesn't, name one development he made after Z that we already don't know from Z. *"while gt vegets did nothing meaningfull "* I like how you ignored the part where GT Vegeta developed as a character. Sure, he didn't do much but that's besides the point.
@@markss367 *"Doesnt care for surpassing goku"* I can show you at least 10 scenes in DBS where Vegeta is mad about Goku being strong and him being weak. *"to be on par with goku"* Why does Vegeta care about being on par with Goku in the first place? Sounds like petty obsession to me. *'where he goes his own way and not chasing gokus forms"* AND proceeds to get WRECKED by Jiren. In the end, DBS Vegeta's only real W was Toppo, that's it. Goku has UI&Kaioken, whereas Vegeta has a weak ass SSB form which is barely stronger than SSB. At least, Vegeta's SSj4 was comparable to GT Goku. *"acted rashly and iresponsibly"* What instance are you even talking about? these are just vague traits i could easily attribute to any of Vegeta's scenes in DBS. Like, how TF did he get stabbed by Black? Why did he drop his guard? That was very reckless of him. *"literally threw a fit of rage over hearing gokus name"* He was more annoyed than anything but okay. You're the same DBS fanboy who acts like the scenes of Vegeta crying about being weak doesn't exist in DBS. *"he is a family man and even ignores goku at times didnt even want to train until bura was born."* I could swear you were talking about GT VEGETA! You know? The same guy who took his daughter shopping and didn't care about the training Goku was doing!? The fact that Vegeta is still obsessed with keeping up with Goku is a negative in my book. *"got asspulled to ss4"* Blutz Wave was a substitute to Vegeta's Tail. Vegeta still transformed from Oozaru to Golden oozaru and SSJ4 BY HIMSELF. You act as if he went straight to SSj4! *"not his own way"* THIS is CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. GT Vegeta realized that it was NOT a time to do things "his way".
dragon ball GT>>>>>>>>>>dragon ball super did toriyama even think about the legacy he set for all the Z fighters in Z before he decided to fuck them up in super. And a BIG ASS thanks to GT for giving goku and vegeta some new attacks XD
You know, in the manga, Goku and Vegeta from dragon ball super got some of new techniques we haven't seen in the anime actually, and also Vegeta got some kind of new form to keep up with UI Goku.
It was also rather interesting in GT that Vegeta 𝘪𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 recognized that Gohan was not himself, when Baby was controlling him. Meanwhile, Goku seemed to be rather oblivious (even when Gohan nearly killed his own daughter) until Hercule finally arrived to tell Goku that his sons weren't just being "kids with inflated egos".
Vegeta character in GT has really got over beating Kakarot as he knows he can't beat him while Vegeta in super still wants to beat kakarot and all that and becoming the strongest
A youtuber named The Ascended Universe made a video why Dragon Ball Super sucks which is a podcast and one of the people in the talk admitted that you were right all along. There is also a video why Vegeta in GT is the best character. I recomment giving it a listen.
I agree 100% Vegeta is my favorite character and my 2 favorite moments were "i'm no warrior, I'll never fight again" and "Hang in there Kakarrot, you are number 1" Couldn't watch Super. Was told that it took place before the last episode of Z, but as you said, how does someone go from that, to revert into the same old "i must surpass kakarrot" Super sucks
GT Vegeta by far was better than DBS because of character development that led up to the mature version of Vegeta in GT Vegeta by far is Superior then dragon Ball super Vegeta and GT Vegeta was not a Savage or full pride like dragon Ball super Vegeta seems like they were backwards and that's one of the biggest reasons I'm not a huge fan of dragon Ball super I would rather watch dragon Ball GT it goes with any anime or comic book fans want to see character development
You say about Vegeta's development and here I am thinking of Goku transformed to a kid in the very first video. For me, this is not a good idea making goku a kid and making him a adult when he is in his ssj4 form.
Prove to me that its a different body. Let me tell you one thing omari and also think about it. If goku is a kid again in GT, and he can transforms to ssj4 form, he should be a kid when he transforms to ssj4 and yet he turns to adult when he is in ssj4 form. This is illogical man.
@@taylorsanada3180 why are you even here then. For real, are you just here to hate on this dude and his subscribers? Is your life really that empty? Are you that bitter? It's a fucking fictional reality! opinions on it are subjective.
GT Vegeta has got to be my favourite version of Vegeta along with the Vegeta from Buu Saga/End of Z. More chill, relaxed, mature and he is not the same guy from Android Saga or even Super just focused on surpassing Goku
