Respect to you baba, ayuba is my dad's favourite musician... Those days in festac he normally sing/play for my dad during his child naming ceremony then. More grace baba, you're a Legend
Insightful interview as usual..Teju is an interviewer who is grounded,he asks,he lets them talk,he listens and does follow up..younger ones Pls learn..
Adewale Ayuba has never been your typical Fuji musician. He has always been very different, cool, calm, well grounded. No scandals or messing around with women. No alcohol, no drugs. An absolute gentleman, committed to family values and personal discipline. God bless you immensely
Adewale Ayuba is a fantastic man. I am not surprised, the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. I first met him at his mother's funeral at lkenne in Ogun State, and the impression he made on me that day has remained indelible till now. I'll love to contact him personally. I am a great grandmother, so no fear.
Wale Ayuba, you are anointed, blessed, and highly favour 🙏 Shalom, the true man of God. God will grant you your heart desires. Exposure and going tru structures in America defines you. The difference is clearly obvious ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
To Say That I Love Adewale Ayuba, Will Be An Understatement & Am Not An “Alatika” Nor Someone That Loves Fuji Music But I Can Listen To Ayuba’s Music All Day Long! Adewale Ayuba Is A Decent Man!! He & My Hubby Belongs To Lagos Lawn Tennis Club!! He’s A Gentleman, Such An Amazing, Meek & Humble Human Being To The Core!!! “Mr Inufele Gba Feeder” ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I grew up on Adewale Ayuba's music. My Dad played his music and that of KSA repeatedly and I fell in love with him particularly. As much as a fan my father was, it was nothing compared to me. I knew his songs line for line and I was a subject of the family jokes about my love for him...
Sìná - mispend, misappropriation. Àgbèrè - Takes away profit. Those are the strong words and meanings for how Yoruba people refer to adulterous relationships.
Educative and lovely interview, I love when Wale said, " the fear of God, is the beginning of wisdom", that he fears the repercussions of commiting sin!. More wisdom, more money, more blessings, more understanding, more knowledge and more grace and wins from above. No wonder he's got peace of mind 🎉.
Hmmmmm... Seek you shall find and knock the door will be open to you. What a personal encounter with God. Truely spiritual and highly intelligent man... First time of hearing him speak. He's such a blessing to my generation. Awesome interview
I have been listening to Chief Ayuba music since I was small!! Cant even believe he is 59 now!! Remarkable! This is one of those Interview I really enjoyed watching from A to Z
Teju, the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. For a fearful of God, will lead you into a Peaceful Mind, Blessings, Favor and Grace. All these attached together, are more than just call contentment, which will bring you Honors, Respect, Dignity and Maturity. There's nothing to compare, peace and restful mind and good heart. I really give Adewale Ayuba A million gbosa for his way of life. Go on bro, with the blessings.
Brother Adewale Aruba I just love your unique music because you are so talented and you are different from others by giving us quality music. Thank you my brother in Jesus Christ
This was so good . This showed the freedom and liberty to worship God however we want to . Thank God who opened your eyes to see. Religion has damaged a lot of things in Nigeria . I am the way the truth and my life . Seek me first , so easy to do wonder why people made it complicated . 😊
I don't know what to say. Listened to Ayuba songs in my teen years. It's was full of all that one needs in a good music. I still play the old songs of those musicians as am thrilled by their originality. I am a content creator and originality exponent in my academic field. I listen to those old chaos music and say, wow, what inspired them? I get inspired that way too. Thanks again Teju.
Everytime I see Daddy Adewale Ayuba, Inu mi mas ndun gan. In the 80s, he visited my mom's restaurant at Ketu. Pls, shout out to him for me. This is laide from Aunty Olu food Canteen.
Listen to 42.00 to hear where he talked about His Religion and switch. I love this man & his honesty! Language had been a barrier and it is only sane to communicate in the best way you feel is best to communicate/pray to your creator!! Nice podcast, Teju!
Leaving Islam is not the problem, after all you have a right to change your religion and there is no force in Islam. It's even better you came out like this to declare your interest for Christianity, it means you will not indulge yourself in idolatory. The problem now is majority of those who claim to be Muslims among the musicians and nollywood actors/actresses are not actually pure Muslims. They mix Islam with idol worships and they prefer the latter to the former. They don't really worship Islam in its true sense, they are purely idolators. I therefore appreciate the fact that you come out to claim Christianity and stick to it instead of deceiving us that you are a Muslim whereas you are an idolator... I am your big fan anyway, I have been listening to your music since 80s and I will not stop listening to you or dance to your music despite our religious differences. You are a great musician....
Ayiba is a veery lovable being. Il alwys cherish him 4his humility & decency. He is charismatic. Iv neva heard any printed rumour about him. I cnt tell it all. I jst love him. Big ups 2u Teju
Wao thanks a bunch Teju for bringing Dr Adewale Ayuba on today's interview. Chief is a man of integrity and i have a lot of respect for him. Hmmm more Wisdom 👍
Adewale Ayuba, I'm your fan, but you were asked a simple question about K1 ; I didn't expect you to say only God knows who started first. You answered your qns already about age differences perfectly. Teju was asking you about professional music. For instance every kids played football at early stage of their lives, but doesn't makes them a footballer. Most Kids started singing from churches, mosques and schools, but that doesn't makes the a musician. You alredy paid due respect to K1 in your first record titled " Akoja Ewe" in 1985. You people are so matured and blessed that you allowing the public to drag you unnecessarily. God bless you Chief.
Don't mind him. He even lied he didn't know whether K1 had released other albums before Talazo '84, but he only respected K1 because of the age difference and his album release of 1984. Iro lasan!!!
@@ORK4real listen to him again. He said clearly that he knew K1 released album bf him in 1985 but he didnt know if he released another one. He said he howver has been singing since 7. He was very clear with his answer, so dont read meanings. In my own estimaation, K1 first album was in 1979, and Talazo was 1984. I however do not know how many other albums he relaesed in btw.
@@ORK4real Don't mind him ; at every opportunity they have to granting an interview they all always want to rewrite history. God has done so much for all you at this stage, why perambulating and fabricating? Adewale Ayuba as much as I love him always appeared digressing and divagating from the truth. In case of religion every heard your testimony in your church that you were able to pay off your overdue bank loan when you turned christain; now he was saying different things that he couldn't recites holy quran as if there is no English version of the Holy Quran or perhaps God doesn't understand all languages. This is the religion you had practiced all your life untill less than 5 years ago you turned christain. Like you said; Religion is personal relationship with God ,but be steadfast at any given time for public opinion or interview. I'm a Christian by the special Grace of God and happy for you either. Mind you all you have become today in terms of fame and affluence is by God's grace through your latter faith.
Don’t mind him, he was spitting rubbish out of jealousy for k1 as Yoruba used to say that igimu jina sori. Who knows him at age 7. He that released his hit album in 1990 or 1991 compared to k1 hit album in 84
Musically and age wise Wasiu Ayinde is his senior, though Adewale Ayube has been around for so long and a legend in his own right but Wasiu has got a foothold and fame in the industry before him, this shouldn't make an headline if you are a Fuji enthusiast. Teju is a bridge builder btw the new generation and the old
Wawu, the humility, the inspiration, the last few minutes of the interview, many lessons to learn. THE CONSTANT REFRENCE TO GOD. Na who get the jeans una cut put for the table? Bros T, well-done sir regards to Iya Ibeji.
podcast is an enlightener, it tells you more about the character of the interviewed. Ayuba remain the unique figure in entertainment among Nigeria musicians.
I greatly respect and admire Dr Adewale Ayuba ,, what a clean man in character and all,,, have known and met him in my secondary school days in Akoka Bariga,, knew when he released Bonsue fuji😂😂😂,, he would have been my friend ooo but don't know what happened I Love You my brother,, You are as clean and fantastic as the music u make.
We are expecting him here in WINNIPEG CANADA on the 30th of JUNE 2024. I can't wait to see my long-time musican whom I've been listening to him back in mid- 80's
@@theTejubabyface its always a wonderful show with you Sir. Please I Uncle Teju can we have Omo Baba Mukomuko (LAGBAJA) on the show. It'll be grate to have him discuss his hidden identity, style of music and fashion. THANKS
Mr Ayuba, your misconception about your former religion is extreme. In that religion, you don't need to kneel before anyone to pray for you. You ask God directly what you want in any language. In their book as well, God says that you should seek me, know me, and the Kingdom of God will be yours, only you didn't seek him then. God answers anyone's prayer, whether Muslim or Christian. You can't say that it was because you converted that God answered your prayer. What about Nigerian christians and churches against Tinubu and Buhari. According to some of your early interviews, you said it was your igbo wife who asked you to convert before she can marry you. Above all, next time they ask about your religion, you should just stop at "it was my choice and it is private." I love you and proud of you.
Good point, sir. The point I take from Ayuba response about access to God and all, is that he wasnt a good muslim before. He was only born into a muslim family and socialised with the religion growing up. He said he didnt understand Arabic, which means he didnt do well or even go to Ile Keu at all. And I also think that his wife and kids are Christains, so it was easy for him to switch. That said, he is still our man!
The issue with religion here is because we don't train or open allow our children to embrace it on a personal level. We don't allow them to know that parentage and religion different. Our culture can influence parentage but not religion. If you don't grow up with religion on a personal level. It brings about distortion.
Hello always awesome tuning in but please work on the sound just may be the bass from the mic is too much... it is not just pleasant listening to other pods. Just my opinion Legend ❤️❤️❤️❤️✌🏼

I remember when I used to pass through Ikosi road ketu I first saw Ayuba coming down from a Peugeot 505 and going inside a shop, I later learnt that it's her mother's shop.
😂😂😂Chief got everything wrong about Islam. I found and still find Islam a very cool and pragmatic way of life. Islam is far more than faith or religion. It's okay Mr. Johnson, Sir. My love for your persona and creativity as an artiste is unbroken regardless. Mo like yin ju.😂😂😂 I've been a fan since the late 80s. Till date, you still marvel me with your uniqueness. May you live long in every good thing of life. You shall enjoy yourself more than we, your fans, enjoy you. BUBBLE!!!🎉
