Can you do a video addressing the financial side of things? That is: scholarships, finding scholarships, budgeting for grad school, paying for grad school, managing the debt of a grad school education? The high cost of the MBA program that I’ve been looking at is what has stopped me from applying all these years.
Loved this video, congrats on Georgetown!! Can't wait to see how this channel grows in the future. (P.S. I appreciate how you took time off to amplify Black voices during this time.)
congrats on georgetown and 8 years of youtube!! I’ve got two years left of an international peace and conflict studies degree and I’ve been flipping back and forth between masters degree and law school so this is super helpful!!
I love that you made this video! I am a PR major at Txst I’m a junior and I’ve been considering getting my masters/law school. I am a really bad test taker and have anxiety about texts and this made me feel so much better! Wish you the best of luck :)
Another amazing video Lottie! Even though I am only a sophomore in college, I really appreciate your tips and I will remember to use them when I am applying to grad schools! Also that outro graphic is so cute! Looking forward to all your upcoming videos and I hope you are doing well. Also- I would love to see a day in the life of a at home intern once you start up your Coca- Cola job!
congrats on Georgetown and 8 years on RU-vid! I still have two years of my bachelor’s degree, so I’m still throwing around the idea of getting my master’s in accounting or business Administration before my CPA.
Great seeing your experiences in your studies and internships. I did Journalism and Media Studies for my undergraduate degree and Media Studies for my postgraduate degree. I attempted a Masters in Marketing Management course, but couldn't do the Maths at all, so I transferred into a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Relations. I've almost finished the course. Now I'm applying for Internships at PR agencies.
I just got accepted to an MBA to, a lot of the GMAT is being waived bc of covid but now even bc there starting to take away the standardized tests or even if you have higher GPA you don’t need to write it to be accepted! Luckily Classes will be in person now in the fall since ppl are vaccinated and cases are better! Hope it’s going well for you♥️
aww loved getting to know you more in this! it was helpful hearing about grad school because I really don't know much about it even tho its a few years away! & love how you mentioned SoulCycle!!! we NEED to go!
I would love if you did a separate video on the interview process. I am currently applying for grad school and your videos have been extremely helpful.
"I thought about going to law school for like two weeks, and then I was like no" SAME But congratulations on your acceptances!! DC is amazing! I go to American, studying International Relations, so maybe I'll see you around the city in the future!! 😊 (Also I know you have a video about resumes but do you think maybe you could make a video about professional online presence? Utilising websites such as LinkedIn or Handshake?)
Congrats on your 8 years on youtube ! I personally study political science and international affairs, could we get a video from your brother to know a little more about his studies, since learning about your experience really helped me, thks !
Congrats on getting into the grad school of your choice, Lottie! I’m almost done with my masters in LIS . I’ll graduate this fall. Best of luck to you! I can’t wait to watch you do great things. 😁
Definitely think about going. It's easier to keep going rather than taking a break and then going back. I've been out 3 years and am now going back for my masters in social work.
Some of my choices are comparable to yours when apply to graduate school. I think with the arrival of Covid, branding and accessibility has become very creative. So go create some awesome creative stuff 🤩
Im going to grad school as well. I will be attending Florida Tech to do my Master of Science in Cybersecurity! I also graduated in May from Penn State!
I’m applying for Georgetown MiM right now!! This is soo informative and thank you!! video editing isn’t exactly my strong suit so I’m unsure if they will appreciate the vlog I put up for the application...hope it doesn’t weight as much 😩
Congrats on getting into Georgetown! I can honestly say as frustrating as it is to be in lockdown right now, I feel so lucky to be in grad school! this is the Summer I have to stay home and work on my dissertation anyway so I really feel like I am still making progress even when the world is shut down. You are making a great decision!
Hi! First off, I want to say congratulations on your acceptances and good luck at Georgetown! Second, I was wondering if you could make a video about resumes. I am a marketing college student, and I only have my more professional resume. I would like to create a "creative" one that has color, but I don't know where to start. I would love if you could include this in a video and show yours, or an example you like if you aren't comfortable showing yours. Thank you!!
Jenna Palek on Tik Tok is a start in terms of different branded resume.. Canva works initially for templates, but don’t put your picture on your resume like they suggest. It’s all about showcasing your personality and interests when you are more creative!
If you don’t mind me asking what was your gpa or a rough guess of where your gpa was in undergrad? I’m entering my senior year of college and I’m thinking of grad school but I can only go if I get a scholarship so I want to see if my gpa is good enough to get one.
I graduated magna cum laude from UGA with a 3.85 (out of 4.0)! but even if your GPA is lower you can be considered for scholarships because of test scores, strong letters of rec, good essays, etc. Most programs look at you holistically when making a scholarship offer! Of course there are some scholarships you can automatically be considered for if you have a high GPA, but that can go for scores too! does that help?
You don't have to get a scholarship you can do fasfa and get loans(thats what im doing for my masters program) so refardless of your gpa you should definatly go and apply. Dont give up😃
