If you didn´t know tipless bags existed, you aren´t the only one! I didn´t know these were a thing when I first started my cookie journey, but they sure do make life easier. There´s a lot more you can do with them than just outline and flood, in the video you´ll see what I mean!
If you'd like to donate to help support my channel, you can use this link (thank you so much!) www.paypal.me/...
These are some of the tipless bags I use:

Thanks for the video. I've been using a lot of your videos lately to learn more about decorating with royal icing and they are very helpful. The only concern I have about this technique is all of the waste with the plastic bags. I would totally be down with this technique if there was a way to save and mark each bag. Single-use plastics are literally killing our planet, so I will have to stick with reusable piping bags qnd tips for now.

Yes, I do agree, it really sucks that there is not biodegradable options right now (that I know of). Just make sure you wash your reusable bags really well as sometimes the greases stays in them especially if you use it for buttercream as well.

This was so informative. Hie large of a hole do you cut for just flooding cookies?? I think I may be using a hole size that I too small
@LittleCookieCo
@LittleCookieCo Год назад
If you find yourself squeezing the bag so hard that your hand is shaking, it is definitely too small! I always adjust the hole too as I go, if I find its coming out too slow or not enough, then I'll cut slightly bigger. You want it to flow without too much pressure but still want to maintain control of how much is coming out if that makes sense.

@LittleCookieCo
@LittleCookieCo Год назад
Thank you so much. Are you using bags that are quite thick? Or have a thick seam, sometimes that is the reason that it comes out flat. You can try cutting with the seam in the middle, make sure you are using really sharp scissors and cut a small hole, and then squish the bag flat the opposite way, and cut a tiny tiny bit off to make it a bit more even. Hopefully that helps!

Yes, make sure you have nice sharp scissors so your cut is smoothe. Also, squish your bag flat. If it's not flat, cut a tiny tiny hole and let the air out then make your actual cut! Hope that helps!

@LittleCookieCo
@LittleCookieCo 3 года назад
Yeah I've had a few batches of those too. I feel like with every brand you get that every so often. I sometimes cut the excess plastic if I can or cut a slightly bigger hole. I have heard that the store How Sweet is That sells the Master bags and she inspects the seams . You can get them in Amazon too (they have red writing on them) and are much thinner, so if you put a lot of pressure on them they can burst. I've also heard TMP small bags are good for wiring and details but haven't tried them yet.
@elizabethjay660
@elizabethjay660 3 года назад
Thank you! I am forever changing bags! I try to cut it off and sometimes it works but sometimes it cuts too far! Will try these others bt for detailing will need the stronger bags so hopefully i can find some. Are there any metal tips you have tried and liked? I honestly don't like them but I may try this aswell!
@LittleCookieCo
@LittleCookieCo 3 года назад
I've heard the best are PME, I did buy a few when I first started, they are great cause they don't have seems liek the Wilton ones. I stopped using them cause they're a pain to wash but they do help. The other thing is when my icing is curling with a tipless bag I'll put the side its curling on toward my cookie so it curls towards it and I'll attach it and then pull to straighten it out. When I'm doing turns or curves then ill stay really close to the cookie and put a bit extra pressure so it almost doesn't have time to curl, if that makes sense

Hi, what could be the reason if the piping is not coming out of the bag when cutting a tiny hole? Tried it with outline and flood consistencies still no luck
@LittleCookieCo
@LittleCookieCo 3 года назад
It could be that your icing is too thick for the size hole. Or that your hole just isn't big enough. If its not coming out then keep cutting slightly bigger until it does without you squeezing the bag really hard. Another thing may be that your tip is clogged if your icing has dried in the tip.

I use Wilton bags and when I cut my bag the icing comes out flat and not round and also curls is that because of the type of plastic?
@LittleCookieCo
@LittleCookieCo 3 года назад
Yes exacrlt. Wilton bags are great if you are using metal piping tips, but not for tipless bags. The seam is really thick so then it makes the icing curl when it comes out. The thinner bags have a much thinner seam so its not as stiff as the wilton bags

@LittleCookieCo
@LittleCookieCo 4 месяца назад
It could be a few things: -Your tipless bags are too thick and so the seam causes this to happen (like if you're using wilton piping bags) -Your hole is too small, so snip it slightly bigger and cut across the seam! -the icing is too thick and your pressing too hard on the bag Sometimes it's a combo of 2 and 3 so if you don't want to thin your icing, then cut the hole slightly bigger and if you don't want the hole bigger, thing down the icing just a tad!

Why does it curl sometimes?
@LittleCookieCo
@LittleCookieCo 3 года назад
There could be a few reasons: 1- make sure to use really sharp scissors, if your cut is not clean that makes it curl 2- you didn't cut with the seam in the middle when you flatten the tip. If you have the seam to the side when you cut it doesn't cut straight 3- your icing is too thick for the hole size (try cutting it a bit bigger) 4- the hole is cut too small in general, try cutting a touch bigger 5- the tipless bags have a thicker seam, this makes it curl (for example the wilton disposable bags are not really meant to be tiplees because they're way too thick)
@marikiemarie7622

I found tipless bags and they are no better than regular. Mine still had 2 seems. Too stiff. Cost too much and still same problems. Ive tried all the brands so far. Even these. Why am i have so many problems? Mine curl, get clogged. Ive done all the troubleshooting for the recipes. Ive done it all. Nothing ever works.
@LittleCookieCo
@LittleCookieCo Год назад
Tipless bags are only meant to have 1 seam, so the other ones with 2 are meant to be used with tips. They should be thinner and less stiff. Have you tried the ones I've linked in the description below the video? Once you get the right bags, you'll see it'll make a whole lot of difference!
@marikiemarie7622

@@LittleCookieCothe ones I have are from sweet sugar bell. They are stiff and have 2 seems. The box say they are for using with out tip. They have the same texture has these but stiff. Amazon can be tricky cause I don't think they sent the right ones.
@LittleCookieCo
@LittleCookieCo Год назад
I think those Sweet Sugarbelle ones are thicker than the regular tipless ones. Try these ones out, they're also really good and it's not off Amazon. They're much thinner and playable. The seam and stiffness is really what creates issues when piping, so if it's thin, it's much softer and helps the icing come out the way it should. trulymadplastics.com/Tipless-Piping-Bags-Medium-100-bags-p37667135Tipless-Piping-Bags-Medium-100-bags-p37667135Tipless-Piping-Bags-Medium-100-bags-p37667135
