Hi, I'm Stephanie! My channel is all about teaching you how to decorate cookies. So if you've ever wanted to give it a try, you're in the right place. I share everything I've learned and mistakes I've made, so it makes it easier for you. I also love to bake and make other desserts, so hoping to share a lot more of that in the near future!
Thank you for making so many professionally filmed and narrated videos. I don't even bake and I've watched a dozen or more of your videos. It fascinates me to watch you work magic with the colors and the intricate designs. I hope your time spent is paying off - literally. Many thanks for your dedication to inspire, mentor and teach all of us!
Thank you so much, that really means a lot! I've been trying to always improve my videos over the years so I'm glad it's working and that you enjoy watching them ♥️ thank you for the support!!
Thanks!!! I don't like to let it dry cause if I do sometimes my bag hits the icing or my scribe then it brakes off and floats around in my flood icing, so I just do it right away 😁
We always have salted butter at home, so I omit the added salt. Try lemon extract instead of or in addition to vanilla. KitchenAid fans are a bit nuts about them. Our Mixmaster works fine.
Cabela's does not offer this online anymore but you can purchase the dehydrator in the store because I bought mine yesterday. We did already have one but my husband uses it to make jerky and I wanted to avoid any possibility of cross contamination. I noticed hers was a 10 drawer. I purchased an 8 drawer. They also come in a 12 drawer. I am excited to get started. You wouldn't want to put any kind of wax paper or anything under your cookies on the tray or the air would not be able to circulate through the dehydrator sufficiently. I will listen again but she mentioned leaving the cookies in the dehydrator 20-30 minutes between layers but then leave them out to air dry overnight or leave the door open overnight for them to air dry. I'm sure that it may take a little longer depending on how you have decorated your cookie. Happy decorating and thank you so much for sharing your talents 'My Little Bakery'.
Should you have added the rest of the liquid first like the emulsion n extract before adding more water in case that’s enough liquid anyway so no more additional powdered is needed?
HI Stephanie i am a beginner level; trying to start PYO Classes for kiddies. I do not want to undercut prices. How do i charge for these cookies. Thanks for your tutorials.
Thank you so much for answering me. That is exactly what I did. Thank you so much. You are awesome. I watched your videos all the time, I love the way you explain. I am from Canada
You can just put less water, if it's too stiff to mix then add a touch more water then stir in powder sugar with a spoon after you colour the icing. I use the same icing for my flowers : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vjv6-sNfvv4.html
Do you know what I love about your video you explain so well in detail and you also show it in real time. I’m super slow with cookies and when I see the videos of them looking super quick I feel like I’m doing something wrong. It just proves how time consuming and sugar cookie decorating is. thank you for such good detail
Thank you so much!!! I like to show all the little details and real time because the sped up videos really give people the misconception of how slow the process really is. I know sometimes it makes for long videos but I think it's a lot more helpful than rushing through the process!!
Thank you! I used sunflower sugar art gold. It was approved as edible in Canada when I bought it years ago, just not sure if it is everywhere else though. But TMP (Truly Mad Plastics) and the Sugar Art also have amazing edible golds as well!!
Very nice video. The best hack to get a nice deep red is to mix a pink icing first, then you do not have to add so much red. You are an excellent teacher .
Oh don't be afraid!!! Its the best once you get the hang of it!!! I have videos setting it up ad videos on how I write with it too in detail on my channel, if that would help!
It should be when you go to checkout there it's below the credit card section after you've entered all your info just above where it says the total on the very bottom of the page!! Hope that helps!
It could be a few things: -Your tipless bags are too thick and so the seam causes this to happen (like if you're using wilton piping bags) -Your hole is too small, so snip it slightly bigger and cut across the seam! -the icing is too thick and your pressing too hard on the bag Sometimes it's a combo of 2 and 3 so if you don't want to thin your icing, then cut the hole slightly bigger and if you don't want the hole bigger, thing down the icing just a tad!
I’m going to my first CookieCon in Austin!! I got addicted to decorating cookies after watching your videos. Thank you for sharing your talent. It created a new passion in my life. I just hope to be a fraction of as talented as you one day. 🤗❤
Oh that is so exciting!! I always wanted to go but never have been able to!! And thank you so much, I'm sure you will be way better than me in no time!!
I love this idea of using a projector. Thank you for showing it. I have one question.... where do you find the imagines or fonts for writing on your phone? Is there an app?
These are SO satisfying. Do you have a video for beginners? Like cost effective ways of projecting or getting designs on the cookie before icing, and how to make the perfect consistency, how to get the layers to dry, what kind of timing between layers of icing etc?
Thanks!! I usually talk about drying time in the full step by step tutorials. And then you can find my royal icing recipe and a way to get the images on the cookies here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HxGBClkllNE.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kDF_DrNRRVA.html
I’ve been watching you for years and you are one of the few bakers I trust. Taste is everything to me, if it’s a beautiful cookie and tastes like stew what is the point of all that work. I have a big bake this week, my best friend’s wedding. I will be using fresh lemon juice instead of the butter flavor because it SO cuts the sweetness and it’s Spring! I’m gonna trust you!
Aww thank you, that means so much to me!!! Lemon juice is a great idea and especially since it's spring, it's perfect!!! Everyone will love them, best of luck!!!
