I think that INFJ’s are often happier alone, which makes having a relationship with them a bit unfair. If they reject you, you’re left unhappy alone, and they crawl into their interesting, creative minds and move on with much less pain.

I don't know if I am happier alone, exactly, so much as able to enjoy my own company. If someone supportive shows up, who can handle the quirkiness of me, great. And if not, I'd rather be on my way. 😂

Nope, we crave intimacy more than anything. Being Alone is needed to process the pain and not bring baggage into the next try.

I'm happier being alone, when I meet knew people and they want to exchange numbers and start planning things? I run and hide. they cool, buuut I don't have that kind of energy and don't want to be around codependent people, which is what I typically attract.

The only time I reject people is as an absolute last resort, and that always comes in the form of a doorslam because the relationship in question has become hopelessly toxic. Once I befriend someone, unless the person in question gives me cause such as a serious betrayal, it's for life

These are the exact reasons why I'm extremely cautious about forming relationships past a superficial or acquaintance level. Rejection is one of the worst feelings to have to endure.

Most of my exes asked for another chance, but once I am done, I’m usually DONE for good! An INFJ rejection is usually well thought through before taking that decision and it is usually for the best interest of everyone involved. I wish people could handle rejection better and understand that not everything or everyone is meant to be.

Honestly, before breaking things off, I have most often finally hit my limit with something or other. I may not have processed it consciously, but in hindsight, there have been a LOT of chances to turn it around, and the other person hasn't done so. It's practically inevitable that the relationship would end sooner or later.

Yes, once I didn’t know others couldn’t just let go and I was dating, it felt like I had train of ex’s and associates built up. I had some crazy experiences but stopped everything until they finally all left.

You nailed it, as always. Yes, I have rejected loads of times. In three weeks I'll be doing it again - a platonic relationship of many years. The romantic part of it I have never accepted anyway, but I have been a loyal friend, although, as we live in different countries now, we see each other only for a few weeks each year. So , in 3 weeks time, there'll be a serious talk. Most probably a permanent goodbye will follow. Sad, but probably inevitable. I've already started checking out alternative holiday destinations.

Once I see them I know where to take it. A women in my apartment building has issue with me. I barely know her name or even acknowledge her existence but she keeps crying, She doesn’t like me. My response is why would you care and who are you? She can’t stand it that she has no place or even a consign my world. What do people behave this way. It’s so irritating.
