Osama bin Laden was a Saudi Arabian-born militant who founded the extremist organization al-Qaeda, which was responsible for several major terrorist attacks, including the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States. Born on March 10, 1957, bin Laden was the 17th of 52 children in a wealthy Saudi family. He became involved in Islamist movements during the Soviet-Afghan War in the 1980s, where he gained experience and influence by supporting and fighting alongside Afghan mujahideen against the Soviet Union. In 1988, bin Laden founded al-Qaeda, initially to support the mujahideen in Afghanistan, but it later evolved into a global terrorist network with the goal of waging jihad against those he considered enemies of Islam, particularly the United States and its allies. He was deeply opposed to U.S. military presence in the Middle East and other aspects of U.S. foreign policy. Bin Laden became the most wanted man in the world after the 9/11 attacks, which led to the U.S.-led invasion of Afghanistan aimed at dismantling al-Qaeda and capturing its leaders. After years of evading capture, bin Laden was killed by U.S. Navy SEALs on May 2, 2011, during a raid on his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. His death marked a significant moment in the fight against global terrorism.
For those who don't know, this episode of Top Gear was Jeremy Clarkson talking about that speed cameras don't help with other things but they only care about the speed. Since they used a drunk person with a stolen car and Osama Bin Laden in the example, they showed that anyone even if they are the most wanted person in the world can easily get through the camera since it only cares about the speed. While there is an old lady who is innocent which exceeds the speed limit and gets the fine even though the drunk man and Bin Laden got through. I mean, that's basically what speed cameras are for, not for catching people. That's the police's job for that.
