There has been more and more tolerance. There were ads, books and even tv-shows that have members of LGBTQ+ community. I was going to comment that there is no way that a Russian child wouldn't get a friend or relative to get them a copy of this game. Much like how people under 18 elsewhere do and that's not even accounting for piracy or imports. Still terrible to have rating systems used as a club to beat games with neutral gay elements. I am fine if it was 18+ and it was explained what is and isn't considered "propaganda". Under the law, a page with a word "gay" in a sentence that doesn't have work "bad" is considered illegal to show children. Hell, there is nothing wrong with being gay, and the law is unnecessary, but I understand that some countries need to build up tolerance to LGBT, before we meet aliens, and whether you are LGBT or not would not make a difference.

I agree to some extent. In general my view on the matter is that we should treat homosexual people the same way we treat heterosexual people. And if someone thinks that is bad it's because they know they won't treat heterosexual people fairly.

I am however less concerned with the law since it just raises the rating instead of cutting or banning content. And I in general often bypassed ratings thanks to my father when I was 12, which means it is less of a big deal than removal.
