@@roryharland5435 much more than that, they were banning people and blocking refunds while some hackers were getting away with breaking the whole experience.
30 dollars is the price of a fully new released title? That is 50% off what I usually see from new released titles. They usually go for 60-70 USD. (Or nations equivalent).
@@mockss6475 it's not so much about sustaining as it is to properly do a one time job once, and then be done with it. The good thing about survival open world games was that you didn't need weekly updates just to trick up your “coonsomer” brain into producing more dopamine, you just needed enough mechanical content, tactical opportunity, and unpredictability to keep you interested. The more you make the players plan/think about their next move the better off your game will be, that's precisely what makes like CDDA and Project Zomboid outstanding survival games (because for once they are done right).
I don't know anything about this game, but I can tell you this: Every single game worth talking about on steam hits its high point in terms of purchases during sales. There are entire developer panels dedicated to statistics showing that a new DLC or a new free expansion made a small bump in the charts, but the charts peaked whenever there was a sale. So numbers climbing during a sale doesn't necessarily mean that the game is priced too high and that people would buy it if the price was permanently lowered. Sales just trigger something in people.
1.2.2 is out and you can now have 4 small storage chests and 2 large ones. Which is plenty. They have done so much to add so many things, plane crashes, drops, and so much more. The devs are doing a great job and it is definitely my favorite game at this time.
@@Diego-carp Currently they now only have 2 devs... and the updates are still very frequent. The are not close to as many players as they used to be on officials but definitely still fun. I have been playing the hell out of rust lately though.
I personally really like Miscreated but I do agree with what you said. I can totally understand why people gave up on this game over the storage situation. I really hope that one day the devs decide to fix this because it could bring people back. UPDATE: THEY ADDED MORE STORAGE YAYYYY!!!
Still waiting for the day that the Devs enable real progression beyond building. You can store items in vehicles as well as the one box last time that I played but even then I ended up basically stuck once my storage was full.
JeBeatsElectro Except that hasn't worked has it? People just either horde vehicles or build tents instead and besides loot seems to respawn fairly often, atleast on the servers I played.
Actualy they already fixed it, update 60 brings 4 small crates, 4 (or 2) large crates, and the kiosks system where you can store your itmes and trade them to other servers for in game corrency which can be only obtain in the game. You see, just wait and stop complaining until the game is finished ;)
It's alot Better without a bunch of douches constantly hacking and stuff now. Like I've encountered about 200+ different players in the last month and a half and all of them love it much better now than back when it came out cause they can actually play without too many issues.
@@gixerson8212 true but at least it's up to date and way better then at the beginning but anyway you right with every game gets boring at a certain point
@@fapkaptain4285As much as I like PvP rust is just to focused on PvP I mean sure there is scientists but they are nothing but annoying and looting is just piling shit up to scrap and trade in for l96 and AR. I don't really enjoy looting or PvE in rust it's just a pure deathmatch to me. I'm not saying Rust is bad but I personally can't enjoy it with the state looting is in. In Miscreated the AI is pretty wack aswell but they did a really good job on the looting with potential finds everywhere and loot sprinkled on random shelves and inside random drawers. Even if you loot the same kind of house it might have different interior and the loot is placed at slightly different locations. And the PvP has also been pretty enjoyable so far. ( I'm still somewhat new to miscreated ) played 60 hrs Miscreated | 240 hrs Rust
ClikGaming nothing to learn in a game with shit loot drops. Best thing ive gotten is 21 bullet m4 mag (Ofc without the gun). And that took about 2 hours...
I started playing last year and I enjoyed the game a lot. My friends got me to try it out and it’s so immersive. Very realistic and it feels right. The mechanics are smooth, and the ai balancing is nice and the ai are actually something that will always be an issue for you no matter how geared you are.
Watching this in late 2019 and hearing someone say 24.99 is the price for a fully released title, I feel like even then something was deeply wrong with the perception people had on game development.
@Vinni S I know. Lets do some history - everything is more expensive nowadays - flats, food, taxes, health insurance. So why do games have to get less and less expensive compared to that? I can remember that I paid 50 bucks for a full release when I was 16. Compared to that 25 is still a relatively low price. What I can understand, is if the developer does not follow up the statement of "price equals quality performance of the company", then obviously people will feel let down. I think they could´ve just charged 50 bucks instead so they have the funds to go fulltime with severall people. Just a gut feeling.
Even in 2013 console full release games were $60, very few finished games are less than $50. On another not he mentioned the funds generated were less than $100k... that’s very little to work with when building a game like this.
E-Frame completely agree - as a 40yr old who has been playing games since the 80’s, you’ve gotta have a serious lack of perspective to think that this game or anything like it isn’t worth $25. Talk about spoiled. Other criticisms may be legit however I’ve racked up 20hrs in 2 days and thoroughly enjoying it, even if it were just a walking / survival simulator alone it’d be pretty good.
Players: "you keep adding more items but we don't have anywhere to store them! Add a storage feature! Developers: ok ok, hear us out, One crate per base
Hopefully somehow BETA will get this game big. But even that might not do it :/ edit: definitely dying hard now.... and the most garbage devs i have ever seen....
I can't see the beta making a big impact. The reason DayZ's beta is so huge is because they're overhauling the entire engine, its literally a game changer! Unless Miscreated have something big planned, the conversion from alpha to beta will likely just be polishing and bug fixes.
I have been playing miscreated for almost a year now and I believe that it runs very stable and it's very inmerssive and beautiful, not agreed with this video about roasting miscreated like that.
@@krukomonsterpodcast2814 if he could he wouldn't be on RU-vid and it is something that should have been implemented way earlier in the game's life cycle
@@MrZodiac011 That’s actually a good point. I think they just wrote spaghetti code on the character screen (if the clips in this video is from the game) making it difficult to reuse for other systems like storage bins. If they had prepared or at least had written it more manageable then they could’ve used the slots for the storage bins as well, might’ve taken some tweaks but it shouldn’t have taken so long given they had already written it
Great video, here are my thoughts with 400+ hours. They branched out on developing too many stuff at once with their first giant influx of sales and not enough core game-play elements that demanded priority. Then the shit they were working on forever came out and it was buggy and glitchy or just poorly constructed addons that no one asked for......At this point sales had drastically diminished so their dev team could not be supported and started shrinking in population, hence patches became less impactful and infrequent. RIP miscreated. Beta will not save it....the game is too old at this point. But to be fair they put in more effort on a lower budget then dayz standalone, so I give them credit for trying.
GamingInSlowMotion umm do you think this game was worth the price point because if you do i think you are on crack steam hands out sales left and right for a reason and have you seen green light 90 percent of the games are dumpster fire garbage that is usually almost borderline a scam even if its cheap
Salty *Late repy but...* You mean *"Neather,"* right? I liked the concepts behind the game (post-demon apocalypse, hell yeah!) but...sadly THAT game is most certainly dead.
@@Sy0exec Apples and oranges. I am no architect, therefore, I don't know the technicalities of a skyscraper. He can criticize the game all he wants but he can't talk about the ease or complexity of implementing A or B with any seriousness.
increasing the storage capacity... shouldn't be too hard to implement imo. Just add more nodes to the tree or increase the array, done. I've been playing a mobile MMO where you could basically pay for more storage space in your bag. The problem Miscreated had was just bad design, not the lack of possible code solutions.
i could say its far beyond useless devs dayz gameplay loop is flawed at its core, you can only make it longer by adding base building (ark, rust, epoch mod) or make loop reset faster by making it a battleroyale (warzone, pubg, h1z1) to make it more engaging
Toby Jarvis this is very true, I've played them all. that's why I still play Miscreated and have 600 hours in it. he mentions in this video that the game failed because the devs didn't give players storage.... Dayz still does not have storage and it's been what 8 years? lol
Jordan Holmes DayZ does have storage, but if your server resets, you lose your stuff... DayZ still is more of a spawn, fight, die, log-off type of game, than a game where you actively try to develop your character and gather stuff for the future. There just isn't much to do late-game... And I bought dayZ standalone within the first hours of its release. It pains me to say, but the development really failed on this one... so much potential, so little perspective by the devs...
Ok Clickbait title, wouldn't it have been fair to say "Why Miscreated IS failing" vs Failed. Failed implies after the fact after its final release or when the devs no longer develop it. Here we have a game that is still being worked on.
I loved Miscreated, visually it looked great and I still enjoy popping on sometimes to run around the world even if it's incredibly small compared to something like DayZ. Unfortunately miscreated had its time to shine and to really grab people and it did indeed fail. It's not even a bad game, just wasn't delivered right I suppose.
Although I agree with some of the issues mentioned in this video there are still some information that is just not simply true. Like The inventory system was indeed fixed, and completely revamped, works really well now. And although the population declined, there are still 1-3 full servers at once. I feel like this game was not meant for storage or base-building. It's more of an exploration PVP game with high risk. If you look around in the world today, seeing all the bases considering storage is half assed, it just does not kind of fit the game. Building a base in this game is just not worth the time or effort considering the current mechanics. Just play the game, for the beautiful environment, to explore, and for the intense PVP encounters.
Alright for those who don't follow Bootleg RP, The server is currently down until V5.0 comes out. There is no ETA, to the annyonance of players (me included), but we'll just have to wait
These kind of shitty games got feature 2 times in a youtube video. 1st in a video titled- TOP 10 EPIC SURVIVAL GAMES IN 2019, And the 2nd Time- Why "-----------" Failed
Recent Steam ratings are Mostly Positive. There have been a LOT of patches over the last year to fix bugs, add 'snapping' to base building, add Air Drop and Plane Crash events, and add more storage. The game is cool, definitely more stable & better looking than DayZ. **This video is outdated.**
I don't play Miscreated but it seems like this video was outdated from the start. All I see from this video is a successful game, that had a fair few bumps in the road.
The first time i heard about miscreated i bought it and convince two of my friends to get it aswell. We met up in a small town and decided that we should go to the city. While at the city we tried to build a base near a lake that was close by couldnt figure out how to build it one of us then spotted a water fall far away. We then walked to the water fall where we found a big base with 4 cars we stole one and made a camp fire ontop of the water fall and emoted untill it became night. Every now and then i remember that moment and try to get back to the waterfall.
I wouldn’t say Miscreated has failed, I still play it with a friend (I usually don’t play games with a lot of people). There still is content and updates, some really nice updates as well. There are still players, and you can find players. You just need to go to the city where there is usually players. I do agree the game is pricy for the content in it, but I do not believe that the game has failed. I think that if the price were to be lower to even just $20.00, the game would be more popular. The game is fun and there is content and stuff todo, how ever I’m yet to try out base building (A base isn’t really a priority for me) so I have no comment regarding storage. Regardless of what I’ve said, great video like always
steam community hub tells me there is 893 people online (and that's after a new dlc release don't forget) so what you mean is 9 or 10 servers are "full", But since everyone does not lives in the U.S or EU its dead for them. Not much fun playing a PVP game with 4 ppl on a server...
@@Knifenrazer US & EU have at least a few full servers practically every day. The Japan servers are generally half-full on weekdays, and one FILLS UP every weekend. People definitely have server options. Even on the med pop servers you will see action: people will literally come to visit your base (**knock knock** "hey let me in, I just want to talk!) and then raid you--both online and offline.
Storage? Shit, I remember floating bases. I also remember no lifers grabbing all cars on a server and locking them up in their base. Then the hackers.. wow, it was annoying. Developer just kind of abandoned it with little to no content. Half the map was still unreleased when I finally stopped.
I remember how they once said they were going to expand the main map. And then they just released a paid DLC for a new map that nobody wanted and fucked off lol.
I used to play this game all the time. It was a big part of my years in 2014-2016 but eventually it became less of a game and more of an arena. If you see my videos (really old stuff) I never cared to look for pvp really. Yes I love a good intense fight, but unless you rp, there isn't anything else to do. For me that wasn't an issue until people took that route of just constant fighting on sight and i lost touch with the community. The gameplay to me was great, and what really made this game fun was the people I played with though. From just screwing around solo for about 5 months to then playing with a couple people, to join TheCasualKill's squad, playing hours with ThingsWithAli, hopping around with Allan from ApowerProductions, this game was a separate life to me. Now this was where Pvp took a toll on me big because playing with RU-vidrs was a lot of them searching for Pvp to get content. Not always, but often. And once all the drama and stuff happened between ThingsWithAli and TheCasualKill (if you don't this story then you definetly don't know what Miscreated was like), it seemed like I had almost lost my voice in the community for a little while. And it continued to get worse and I couldnt make content and I couldnt find the motivation to play anymore because I was losing the community aspect of this game. It's sad to me because the old Miscreated was a fantasy world of people that made me laugh on the daily because I didn't care about what other players did. Now It's rare to see unfunny moments style videos, and now all the guns that get added get deemed more important to people.
You Mr , are a legend my friend !!! I remember i bought the game way back watching Trippy , You and casuals vids / A damn shame it got to this where all the Legends dont play ! Hell...even Dakotaz is in twitch everyday with 28k + virewers !!! somethings amiss somewhere , Take care man !!!
Lol I'm just saying, you dedicated an entire segment saying that most people only bought it when it went on sale, but then proceed to calculate all the owners buying the game at full price and use that as a figure.
I think it's super funny that either the day before or on the day you made this video they made some decent updates to the game. I got Miscreated for $10 and I'm fairly certain I'll never get a better game for that price... What did they add in that's pointless? See your issue is you say things vaguely in the video and just skip by stuff. They add things which ties in down the road. They just added in a radiation storm that comes and does damage adding more survival elements. that tied in with things they've added in past updates.. most updates are like this and you can forsee what the future holds. Of course there needs to be more storage everyone agrees but I've been playing this game for a couple years and we have always had storage and they add in more storage types like tents... I hate early access and honestly this game is one of the best early access games I've ever played... you mention there's no end game??? seriously? What's the end game in Dayz? a game who has been out for much longer with a much bigger team and made a metric shit ton more money??? Dayz doesn't even have base building or storage lol. This game isn't extremely popular but it's not dead and it still gets relevant updates. it's just in a saturated market of zombie survival games... that's literally the only reason you can say it failed which means 90% of zombie survival games have failed on arrival..
Which survival game has a focus ? None , you got peeps that enjoy looting , building , hanging out with other survivors and on the other side you have assholes that come in destroy your base take everything you got . Wtf is the focus or point of these survival games ? Nothing rly .
I haven't played Miscreated yet but plan to buy a 4-pack since it's on sale on Steam now. Been watching a lot of the v1.0 vids and reading a lot of Steam reviews (both the good & bad). Miscreated gameplay & looks are waaaaaay better than DayZ SA, RUST, and Fallout 76. It didn't fail.
@@extraordinarilybasic3250 Wtf no😂? Of the survival atmosphere, Rust, Ark, ... are shitty compared to Miscreated or Scum. Miscreated and Scum are also much more realistic. Rust is for Minecraft players who just do not want blocks anymore.
Game struggles because of the large gaps between content. People log on to play, drain the enthusiasm for all the new things. Log off, and log on again for the next SMALL update.
I still come back to this video now and then. It came out around the time my friends and I left the game. For years 5 of us faced off against a clan of 100 (though the server was highly limited in their attempt to all play at the same time). The ESO clan as they called themselves finally quit when one of us infiltrated their clan, became an officer, and then invited us 4 and we disassembled many of their bases in 1 night. We always wrote our exploits on the discord and a lot of people had a great time with them. However, the entire clan of 100 quit due to this and Spafbi and I got into heated arguments regarding us as game killers (apparently those 100 accounts were around 20% of the monthly active users). I said we were playing the game as we wanted and that the ESO clan should've been more careful about who they let join. My friends and I were permanently banned from the game's discord (even new accounts couldn't join it). Good times lol
@@MrTheHeroBrine100 whether it's a million players or a couple hundred makes no difference. Maybe for the developers but not for the players. One server only has 50 players and Miscreated always has at least 2 full servers. So the game is NOT dead !
negative: no storage; base walls disappear you can go through it; metall walls not rly towable; your cars or tents are not save inside your base; falling through map; no content; they update offten but unnecessary things; wolfs are dinosaurs; and many more..... positive: beatiful world, had potential
Did this guy play the game?. Simple game yes, but very enjoyable. Can be picked up on sale for about £8+. Well worth it in my opinion.... and still being developed and added to
Okay, I won't lie. The last update made the game a lil more harsh, In a good way. I'm seeing seasons now, Better weathering, Way more AI, And more survival!
This definitely needs a revisit. I haven't played it in a while but I used to play all the time around the time you're showing. But there's been HUGE updates since then that added and changed a lot about the game. Definitely planning to check it out eventually but just haven't yet
I just tried this game again.. you can not find anything other than rotten or irradiated food and drinks, seeds are everywhere and the rest of what you would find is virtually gone!! This game has been absolutely ruined!!
there are 1000s of videos why miscreated didn't fail and maybe 1-2 why it did fail so tell me what again? with modding and such miscreated is better than it ever was.ton of mods to add big horde and more to unlimited storage and so much more.
You can know what is easy in a profession without necessarily working in said profession. Also, the loss of sales almost certainly outweighs whatever it would cost to make a storage system.
why would the devs be so insistent to not add something even though almost EVERYONE wants it, if it was something stupid then i'd understand but the fact that you cant have such a basic thing as storage in a OPEN WORLD game makes no sense to me.
There was nothing wrong with the storage system. People just love to hoard ammo in zombie games and play it like a battle royale. This game was so fun i only stopped playing because life got in the way. The one thing i felt was missing was hordes of mutants and sometimes mutants would be way too strong. Encounters with other players in this game was truly something unique from other zombie games. Everytime i was literally on the edge and so immersed in the moment.
You should do a video on Cube World. Many people (including myself) were starved for an update and were extremely disappointed at the final release. I still play the alpha due to the final being pretty garbage.
interesting vid, glad I didnt get it the game now. I learned my lesson from Dayz. Your numbers are off though at the end. You spent the whole video saying that most people bought it on sale, and then at the end of the video you calculate total players by FULL price for some reason and say that is how much the devs earned. Your number is way too high
You really shouldn't take this guys words for anything. The game is actually really good and immersive. He used misleading statistics in the video to make people biased against it. Plus it goes on sale all the time, so if price is a problem pick it up then. I would really encourage you to play this at least a bit before judging. P.S servers aren't dead at all. Lots of em have people online.
4k hours in it and I'm still enjoying it. Got it on sale for 9.99, I think that is what is called "Bang for the buck". Your video is filled with half truths and uninformed drivel. Do some research before bashing a game that is loved by many people and being developed by a great team of people who are working their asses off trying to please the community. You can't say that about many other games. MC is the best survival game out there as is, and it isn't even in beta yet. This is an ALPHA game and it is already better than most anything else. Every update (Monthly) it gets even better.
It hurts me to see people badically lying in their videos about this game. Especially when they use the same arguments over and over to make the game look bad. I hate it. It's hurting the player base to do this. The part I hated was his salr argument. Literally everyone goes crazy on sales, but the player count remained on a consistent positive slope after the sale. It was gaining traction, and the updates were adding useful stuff. I fucking hate that he spreads so much misinformation.
@@Tyronin Yes, I have Scum and I'd much rather play MC. MC is about to go live, v1.0 so it is getting a ton of updates and upgrades. You won't regret buying it. Probably be on sale soon too.
Silly rabbits Miscreated hasnt even been released yet it is still in development and you are just supposed to support the game and basically be testers. All the reasons given in this video are totally irrrelavant as a game cannot fail when it hasn't even been fully released yet.
It died because it was boring as shit. Idk if it still is but when I first played i was impressed by the scenery and effects... but other than that it was a boring ass walking simulator at the time
