Hello I think my videos are good, i post 2 every day since last week were I started It, my first video hit 1000 views but then they went down to 300, 250, 200 and then 50, my content is improving but in the past 6 videos I literally don’t get views maximum 4 views, I don’t understand it because I have grown a normal account to 200k followers about content of cars(short videos) but this and don’t know what to do, should I leave the account or what? Please some advice

Honestly I can’t get behind this because sometimes my videos get 200 views and then days later they push it rapidly , one video just went to 9,300 views, so it doesn’t matter all this technical stuff 100%, the key is consistency, and focusing on the people rather then the algorithm. This is only a piece of the advice to succeed.

I just don’t realistically think TikTok is going anywhere. It’s a lot of politicians blowing smoke and as fast as it went through the house, it came to a screeching fault in senate which is pretty typical. I will happily share info about the other platforms if the time comes and we need to move, but for now TikTok and YT long form are the best places to be imo.

My biggest struggles are the most important things, niche and consistency 🙄. I don’t have a topic I’m totally in love with and that sucks. Maybe I’m too complicated for content creation 😂. Your tips are super helpful though honestly. I guess it’s making me realize maybe I’m not there or ready and just need to step back for now.

No rush. Just keep thinking about it. Try making a list and see which topics you can come up with the most ideas for. Or watch other creators in those topics and see which ones you like the most. Maybe you find a creator that you love and can see yourself doing the same thing.

Excellent and motivating advice Mike. My two last videos got 0 views (then a few views from followers). Should I delete my account and start a new one? I am in the history niche and I don't fight with people or post anything hateful which would get me shadowbanned.

You might not have to delete it, but you need to figure out what happened with those two videos. Zero views means they were made ineligible for the FYP. What were they about? I can try to help you figure it out but I would also search ineligible for FYP on google and read the list of reasons they do it to try to figure out why it happened and prevent it in the future.

@@MikeYanda Thank you Mike. One was a 2 minutes video about the Love life of Cleopatra and the second one was a 1.03 mn video about the dirty habits of the Romans. I will definitely look into it. Quality is good so I must have messed up somewhere. Before that, I had 3 clips do ok for a beginner. I don't use a VPN and have never been banned. When I first started I made the mistake of uploading from my laptop but now I upload only from phone.

On Instagram and RU-vid shorts, my videos average about 2-3K views, some even around 10K views. When I post it on TikTok, it gets a maximum of 500-800 views, I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, it's incredibly demotivating.

They’re very different algorithms that value different metrics. Post content specifically for TikTok. Study the trainings I put on this channel to learn what to do.

Thank you for the value! I have a question: I started 2 accounts to promote my music and one of them was slowly growing in the first 7 days (one video per day) till I got 2-3 of them at 800 views. The very next one, on day 7 I think, was a cover of a viral song and was the most creative video I had so far, yet as of now it has 25 views. The next 3 videos got 0-10 views completely out of the blue and they were all different formats (slideshow, still shots with a copy telling my story, life performances). I'm a musician playing in front of a camera and promoting his music so it's not like I'm sensible content or AI generated stuff and the worst part is that I'm seeing this problem a lot on Reddit too for other people. There's no flag in the analytics, and no notifications of any sort about why this would happen. Another account I have still gets 200-500 views and the content is waaay more low effort than the other one. I read that to stop posting for a couple of days might help, what do you think?

It’s policy violations. They are cracking down like crazy right now. Go read the ineligible for FYP policy so that you understand all the reasons and can avoid it in the future. I know it’s a pain, but luckily it’s fixable.

@@MikeYanda already did that. Literally nothing applies to a guy playing piano or guitar in a living room. Limitations apply for body expositions, violent content, gif content, dangerous challenges, misinformation, display of alcohol or drugs. My best guess would be unoriginal content because I posted a video edited on DaVinci from my camera roll, but even if that was the case, uploading from desktop didn't solve it. I'm gonna try again in a few days, but this is just cruel (sorry for venting here!). Thank you for the reply!

Great video, as always. You stand out in authenticity, when it comes to growth tips, so thank you for that. I have a question for you. I switched niches on an account that was starting to get consistent 5k views, because I didn’t enjoy the content, and found something I am eager to create. Obviously my watch time dropped very low. If I paid TikTok to promote my new content for followers, would TikTok be able to find my target audience faster, since they’re forced to find people who will follow?

I started from my personal account and deleted all the irrelevant videos, changed the name and picture and started uploading guitar videos. Is my algorithm still gonna eventually figure it out as long as I’m consistent going forward

Please do a video on what to avoid - if you place anything that the alg thinks is medical or has lets say a baby or child photo in it (innocent as fam photo) it may block it for a few hours so by the time it shows, you are at 10 views.

I’ve been struggling with this so much. I see my competitors going stratospheric with their videos (I sell glitter) then I see them posting ‘here’s all my thousands of orders!’ Videos. I post BETTER quality videos than them , use the same hashtags, post consistently and within my niche and I get stuck in 200 view jail. I’m so exhausted and frustrated with it all I’m about to just give up. My products deserve more :(((

If they’re getting more views it means their videos are better and getting more watch time. (That’s what determines views) Keep in mind that videos about how many sales they are getting are likely going to get boosted views too because people will be so interested.

I've watched a few of your videos and I now understand why I'm stuck at the 200ish mark. Thank you. I'm working on improving my videos. I do have a question though. Over the past couple of weeks a number of my videos have stayed at zero views for 24 hrs, then maybe get 7-8 views over the next day. It's the same type of content as all my other videos (watercolor art). Even if I post another video several hours later, that too stays at zero views. It's like it's restricting my account every other day. Is there any reason why this is happening?

New videos got hit with a policy violation and are now ineligible for the FYP. Search ineligible for FYP policy on Google and read it so you can figure out what you did.

I tried to start a TikTok account and was banned after basically one video. Support said I had violated the community guidelines, but would not tell me what part of the guidelines I had violated. It was frustrating because the content was clearly G-rated. No mature images or language, I would have shown it to a kindergarten class with no concerns. It is their platform, I get that, but I think it is a reasonable question to ask for some clarification on what I did with my account that was wrong so I don’t do it again.

It likely has nothing to do with that part of the policy. Most of the videos that get banned from the FYP are due to the unoriginal content or low quality content policy. You’ll just have to read the community guidelines and try to figure out what it is.

I get it. I’m just sharing what TikTok recommends and what’s working on the platform right now. All I’ll say on that is that we all have the things in life that prevent us from doing it, but the ones that really want it find a way. That might mean batching and scheduling a week of content ahead of time, but there is always a way.

That's what I've been doing. I do cooking and food on tiktok. I Started my channel 5 days ago. On my days off, I'll cook about 5 or 6 different things to have content until.my next day off. Also, from those videos, I can just create shorts. Being 5 days in, I've noticed that I'm starting to get one or 2 comments from ppl and more likes on each video even though they have fewer views. So, it seems the algorithm is starting to pick up on what I'm posting.

You can make the broader as long as they’re in the same niche. You can’t just make a random broad topic or it kills your other videos if it even gets good views.

First, don’t ever delete videos. It makes you look like a spammer and can hurt your views. If your views died it is either because of what I mentioned above or a policy violation. Just be careful

Zero views means the video isnt eligible for the FYP due to policy violation. TikTok has a stricter policy than YT shorts right now and have been cracking down hard.

Hi Mike, I boosted a couple of vids on tiktok, probably shouldnt have given the information out there on this but I saw it late. How do I reset the issue of now seeing a lot of irrelevant content in my for you? Will this effect who now sees my content? The videos are only boosted for a short time so will the issue correct itself or should I be doing something now? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated!

Don’t worry about the boosted videos, it won’t affect things. You can optimize your FYP at any time, just apply what you’ve learned now and your account t will adjust.

Hi! I posted a video on TikTok and I deleted after 30 second because it was something I didn't like about it. Most likely a violation of the original content policy. You can’t repost a video after deleting it, even with minor adjustments.

I learned on another YT vid that once you post a vid on TT if you delete it and repost it again, it’ll get flagged as unoriginal content disqualifying it from being eligible for the FYP.

Hey Mike, thanks for your good content, really cool videos😀👍. I have a real problem with my tiktok channel at the moment, I make videos in the funny video niche. I've created several accounts before and always have the same problem. I always get 400 to 900 views with the first 5 to 6 videos after creating the account, even now with my current account with the first video 5.8 k views and then the views drop to 200 then 0 to 4 views :(. I'm really frustrated and don't know what else I can do to save the account. I hope it is not a shadowban. What can i do?

Okay, can I get reply on this please. Im journalist in regional newspaper and I started recently to make shorts about topics I write in newspaper. So topics always are about different subjects - politicians, truck lines at border, youth activities, museum. Does TikTok actually recognizes, what is important and whats not. See for example I made short about truck line on bourder with russia, it got like 100k views and fast on Facebook, but TikTok took 7 days to figure out and it pushed only for 20k. Also for other great topics, great example was museum - got big views on FB but just 700 on TikTok and from those only 30% was from feed. Well I found that about famous politician it spreads fast but about other good topics it lacks. What can I do to improve?

It’s all about what people are engaging with on TikTok, not about what’s recent or important in the moment like on Twitter or FB. So what you’re describing is normal. I would just post in both places and understand that different platforms will perform better on some things compared to others.

Thank you for the informations. I been following your steps and it helped with my new account I started. Lately something happened that got me confused I started getting 0 views on one of my vids I ignored it and posted another one yet 0 views but when I switched the video to photo video I got views again why did that happen ? Now whenever I post it is stuck at 0 views. Also I only deleted 2 vids from my acc idk if that affected everything btw I only post once a day so I don't if I got Shadow banned of not

hey what about when i get good metrics in a non saturated niche and get low vies like i compared a 20k video of mine to some of my newer videos that got under 600 vies and and the percentages of watchtime shares and saves are better on the low views ones

You also have to factor in how your video stacked against similar videos at the time it was posted. Maybe your metrics were good, but if they weren’t better than other videos it’s the other videos that get pushed. If you feel good about it make it again.

Iam from one of the countries that the tiktok doesn't allow them to make money from their creativity program, so i contacted one of my friends who lives in US and i told him to make an tiktok account...after making the account i logged in in my country so i posted my first video and it reached 40+ people in first minutes after that it didn't got another views because the says "Your video is not eligible for recommendation in the For You feed. If you disagree with the content restriction, you can appeal." And my videos are original i don't know what is happening to me. Pls would you give me some advices😢

How would you know they have higher watch time than your competition? You can’t see that. The reality is that if you did have better metrics then them you wouldn’t be stuck at 200-300 views. Whatever your metrics are, they aren’t good enough to be pushed further. There’s room for improvement.

That’s not views being down, that’s a policy violation. TikTok is cracking down hard on policies, especially unoriginal and low quality content and a lot of people are not hitting the FYP because of it.

Sorry mate, I really admire you and love your videos but after trying TikTok (for an intensive 2,5 months period of constantly uploading every single day, original, well edited, quality, interesting, funny content) I have a completely different opinion. Kinda. RU-vid and TikTok have different algorithms that prioritize different things. But if you’re focusing on the things I describe in this video, and then put a lot of time into your titles, thumbnails, and ideas you will grow really well on YT.
