Night life is dead because the sound volume in the club has become too deafening to have a conversation. Also, people under 40 don't know how to dance.
We could stop blaming social media. It's getting outplayed. But the apps and smartphones did created more avenues for entertainment for free or cheap compared to nightlife.
Your vid must be popping up for all of us right now. Lol. Yes, it’s def pricey, now. The funny thing is, it has always been this way but people are just now feeling it because most have less money to spend. The people who were already in this position know better than to waste $ going out to eat/drink. Also, I’m not sure where you’re located but here in St Pete, Florida the EDM scene is thriving, especially combined with the sober movement. Majority of the community doesn’t drink. We throw local raves with national acts in warehouses/creative spaces. They’re like intimate music festivals every weekend with vendors, dj’s, flow performers, workshops.
Oh, I watch about 10 minutes of a fire works show on my tv on the 4th of July for 10 minutes then I’m done it’s nice being in the A/C and I watch the Macy’s day parade on TV instead of going there or order presents for family on Amazon for Christmas.
