I think he wished mark didn't get his powers so late on because nolan knew it'd be more difficult to make mark understand his purpose. He wanted the viltrimite mark to join him, but didn't see that side until teenage mark came.
@@Muhammad-hf8ld No not at all. The whole idea is that Nolan would see if Earth was compatible for Viltrumites to reproduce. If they were, then they would be conquered. This is why Nolan didn't want Mark to get powers. This is explained in the comics. Remember that Nolan only killed the Guardians after HE realised Mark had got his powers. It was then he had to conquer Earth. Earth wouldn't be worth invading at all. This is seen further in the comics, when the leader of the viltrumites wants to turn Earth into a breeding camp.
I think Omni Man killed the Guardians because if Mark ever met them and they teamed up, their combined strength could definitely take him down. Omni Man foresaw this and made sure that couldn’t happen.
Spoilers Which did happen further into the comics. Mark had a short time travel arc where he came back to the point before Omni-man killed the GotG. Mark flew into their headquarters and warned them. Then they bodied Omni-man in a fight.

Think you got it spot on. Hope mark doesn't have powers so he can outlive them and conquer earth with no regrets. And he knows mark, he knows he'll oppose the conquering of earth. If he didn't kill the guardians when he did, mark would have joined them and all of them together would have beaten omniman.

No one realizes the intensity of the red rush head crush scene, literally he had just stated to his girlfriend that a small conversation is like HOURS to him, lets say a small conversation is like greeting someone hello, takes 5 seconds, we also know that when you are in pain time seems longer, like burning your finger or holding a plank, so we can conclude that red rush was experiencing that pain for what seemed like at least 5 hours(1 hour in painless perception of time), this is evident by the increasingly desperate measures he took, increasing punch speed to the point it broke his hands, which means the pain was so severe that broken hands didnt even compare, its like slowly crushing someones head over the course of an hour
Also he did not try to escape the clutches- He really could've if he hoenstly had tried hittin the arms. he would've been heavily injured and out of the fight . But. no. RedRush chose to go down doing absolutely every moment of damage to Kill the enemy-not to escape the enemy. He knew that it was the end, even if he ran. so he did every moment left every moment of pain to try and improve the chances of those he left behind's survival. he probably died and had whole conversation in his head. Several times. about how he has to kill him. For his love. She'll die if he doesn't. So he does not stop. Does not run. He dies trying to save everyone.

Question : If omni man took on and killed the guardians of the globe ALONE, why did he wait so long to have viltrum invade when they have HUNDREDS of viltrumites just as strong as him and could take everyone out just as easy?
He probably would’ve just gotten them into the human breeding program, considering humans and Viltrumites are so genetically close that their offspring take as long to get their powers as completely full-blooded Viltrumites.

When Omni-Man said "...... . Are you sure?" The way he did when his son said he got his powers, i instantly knew something had been set in motion. I never imagined Omniman would commit genocide
I didn’t catch on to the idea that Omniman didn’t want Mark to get his powers. It makes a ton of sense. He didn’t seem very excited when Mark told them he started having them
Even if he outlives them, Mark would most likely have kids before he dies, so there will still be some regrets to conquering. But I guess he could brainwash his grandkids while they are young.
I feel like in that scenario, Omni Man would just stage a car accident for his son and daughter-in-law. Also, maybe thats why it seemed like he was trying to keep Mark away from Amber with "the job comes first" to ruin the relationship. And foreshadow his duty over family mentality with the Viltrumites
He needed to kill them before mark joined so that he wouldn't b there when he killed them. He also needed to near when mark got powers so that the new guardians would be weak enough for him to easily kill. There u go
You know what I just realized Omni man is the actual incarnation meme of "It's a crutch" he 86ed the guardians cause he thought they where a crutch to Marks Development as a Vilitrimuite where the actual crutch was his humanity.
It's Ironic that Omni-Man killed the Guardians of the Globe which then prompted Mark to become Invincible and he felt like he had a duty to Earth now that The Guardians were no longer there to save the day. So you could say that Omni-Man's timing was horrible..
Pretty spot on video. Makes me wonder if Nolan should have waited before Mark got his powers. He easily could have subdued Mark and Debbie and forced them to adapt to Earth under vultermite rule.
Guys no. Listen carefully, omni mans mission was to weaken earth, but it was already weak. But when mark got his powers, omni man predicted that mark would defend his own planet. So if mark AND guardians were alive, they could end omni. He basically killed the guardians to lesser the resistance if mark would retaliate
Omni Man never intended to start a family and once he did it changed his plans. He also would've acted upon killing the Guardians of The Globe much sooner if Mark's powers had been evident since birth. Had that been the case he could've done what he had to do without Mark fully understanding what's going on. Omni Man stated that he thought Mark's powers would've already developed by the time we're introduced to the characters .
I think he also did it because he wasn’t sure if mark would be on his side and if mark did turn out to be like him and joined the guardians his plans would have gone south real quick
Id say the “wait for his loved ones to die” theory doesnt quite work in the scenario of mark having kids and so on it would become a revolving door of grandkids he would probably grow to love too. I lean far more toward the “get him on my side or get rid of him before hes a threat” angle. He wouldnt kill him prior to getting powers because he loves mark and would prefer not to kill him if there was a possibility to keep him. If he didnt get powers within the expected time (he seemed genuinely concerned he didnt have powers yet) i think he would kill them both(unhappily id assume) because i think he really meant it when he said he loves debbie like a pet, knowing he would outlive her regardless and have to move on eventually. He views humans as lesser beings but he wanted his son to be viltrumite and have a true father/son relationship and also another fellow viltrumite which im sure hes felt isolated from. Kinda like you-know-who from the boys wanting to bond with his kid because hes felt so alone having no one like him around (trying to avoid spoilers)
Pretty sure it was all a practical strategy on the part of Omni man. You're right that if Mark didn't get his powers he could've waited longer and enjoyed the family. But since Mark did get them, we have to remember he was raised as an earthling and aspired to become one of the guardians. If he was to join them and gain full viltrimite power, that could've been too much for Omni man to handle. Omni man forced the issue when he did because he was out of time, and the planet could've easily slipped out of his grasp in a matter of months to a year of he'd allow things to keep going
I got another theory for you What if Cecil was capable of resurrecting Inmortal, but since he didnt wanted the world to know that Omni-man killed the guardians, wich was exactly what would have appened had he revived Inmortal, he chose to left him dead at least for now
Apparently raising a son to get powers was an acceptable thing for a Viltrumite to do during his "scouting time". The problem arose when Mark took too long to get his powers and was a nearly adult teen rather than an impressionable child. I think what actually happened was that killing off the Guardians was a way to buy more time. If someone from Viltrum came along, he could point to that as part of his preparation step. Remember Omni man was never supposed to destroy the earth. He was instead to offer his help and suck them into a bad deal with Viltrum. I'd say that it was all about Debbie and not Mark.
Mark getting powers adds to the guardians equation. Remember Nolan was watching the new guardians training from the window of the base. He realized the new batch is garage compared to the originals
I think partly he was hopeing mark would join him in his conquest to conquer earth! 🌎 but as mark got superpowers so it makes him a treat to omniman power!
This makes sense mark had just gained his powers so it was time to start the invasion and it proved that humans and viltrumite hybrids could have superpowers.
He killed them because he had to start his takeover since mark got his powers early he said to mark he had to be sure he was a viltrumite in episode 8. Had mark never gotten his powers...then he was going to wait until they died of age and THEN execute his takeover. Also, Nolan said “this changes everything” when mark got his powers referring to his original plan and had to start his plan ASAP.
I was thinking this the whole time it was weird to me when he said maybe he shouldn't have gotten his powers at all I figured he was hoping mark would be human so he could wait until they died off to conquer earth.

He even told Mark he himself would have powers one day. 1:40 another thing, knowing his son is a Viltrumite, he also knows that his son could live for thousands of years. My theory: Nolan was hoping Mark would develop powers from young, do he could use him to complete his mission. But now Mark is too old to be groomed and Nolan finds it more difficult to explain to him why and how to conquer Earth.
It's interesting to me that, in the part of the series that the animated season covers, *SPOILER* Omni-Man couldn't kill his son. I haven't read the comicbooks that far yet, but I have a feeling Omni-Man will break rank and betray the Viltrumites to side with his family. Him sparing Invincible and fleeing feels like a setup for that.
When Mark got his powers, that was what confirmed to Nolan that human DNA was compatible with Viltrumite DNA in the way he was hoping. This genetic compatibility greatly increased the value of Earth as an asset, making it a pretty good reason for him to get a move on with his subjugation of the planet.
He was in a pickle. He acted after mark got his powers for two reasons. He had to conquer the planet unassisted for his ego and he had to get rid of the threats that would possibly kill mark if he chose to join him. If Mark joined before the guardians died then the guardians would have easily killed mark. Nolan was crazy battle experience and he almost lost against them so an unexperienced mark would have been taken out by the immortal or war woman
I heard from the comic books it was another part of his mission to conceive a child and to see if his offspring would carry his powerful genetics because his species could no longer reproduce and due to a plague that nearly wiped them all out their numbers have dwindled

One thing that is stated in the show is that Viltrumites kill the weak amongst them, and having the Guardians of the Globe alive posed a threat not only to the Viltrumite empire but also to the possibility of Mark being spared during the invasion.
There was another reason it was important that Omni Man was sure that Mark had powers. It would be much easier to carry out his conquest plan with another Viltrumite supporting him; for example, the Global Guardians probably would've curb stomped Omni Man if they weren't surprised by his betrayal and fought together as a team. The Global Guardians were Earth's mightiest defenders; they were hardly the only forces available to provide the Viltrumites with a challenge though. This was part of the reason Nolan was so determined to convince Mark to join and support him. In addition, part of the problem with the Viltrumite Expansion/Conquest plan was there weren't enough Viltrumites to hold onto the territory they gained. Part of the duty of the Viltrumites was to create children to increase the size of the population. It was either done with other Viltrumites or with the entities of the planets they chose to conquer. Viltrumite DNA is so powerful and pure that the offspring of an alien mating will approximate the appearance and powers of a Viltrumite. So even if the alien is not a humanoid, the child will come out as a humanoid/Viltrumite. In Mark's case, he is 70% Viltrumite by genetics. So he is exactly what the Empire wanted.
@@IsraelJusticeMillerJr More than likely. According to comic book lore, human DNA is uniquely compatible with Viltrumite DNA. So the child is likely to be much closer to Vitrumite than human. A child being up to 70% or more to full Viltrumite could be possible; Mark for example. In addition. the child also has the potential to grow much stronger than the average Viltrumite. Things get real interesting once the Viltrumites find out about Mark and Human DNA compatibility. For Mark, things get *REALLY* interesting, yikes!
I've always thought it would be easy or difficult for Nolan to wait. Like he can continue being a hero however..his family will age But since Mark got his powers, there's no point of doing it anymore.. Plus it's possible some soliders from viltram (idk how to spell it) will do a check up.
Omniman did want Mark to get his powers, he was just disappointed it took so long. He cleaned house so Mark could have an easier invasion killing the biggest threat.
I think to understand why the way things happened to understand the environment that Nolan comes from. Vultirmites are beings of superiority, longevity and self benevolence. They were willing to kill themselves off to have the "strongest " These values & their history were instilled in him at a very young age. When the Vultirmites had assigned their top ranks to individually weaken planets, I'm pretty interbreeding with "lesser beings" was not on the stratgy agenda. Nolan goal was to weaken earth for conquering right? What happens when you have a goal with long time period to get it done, w/ minimal accountability? You screw around & procrastinate in the midst of working towards it. I think this what happened to Nolan when he met Debbie & started a family. It was never meant to be real and all his procrastination continued. Until one day he looked up and realized it was real to him, even if its different and possibly goes against then everything hes ever known and been taught. He fell in love with his family & earth customs and philosophy had changed him in ways he hadn't realized. And atp he was living in a state of low key avoidance But Mark getting his powers definitely triggered his original mindset & purpose on being on earth, snd he couldn't avoid it any longer. Its like when we suddenly get a burst of purspose and maniacally started crap done, hence him killing the guardians, & starting to train Mark. Nolan was afriad of losing family, his which is crazy once you think about it. Once the whole thing with the demon detective & killing the immortal again, all bets where off and at the point he was trying to convince Mark, as much as himself that the vultirmite way was the "right way". But in the end , he realized he almost completely destroyed what he truly cared about, & for what? Glory, honor? Would he look back and think it had been worth it?... Definitely not
- Mark getting his powers was the inciting incident. Nolan planned his take over after he knew if Mark had powers or not, hoping Mark would either not be a threat, or his #2. - And once he began, the OG GotG were the obvious place to take out first. They were only group on the planet that maybe stood a chance at taking him out. - Once Mark got his powers, Nolan knew he had a set time between training him enough to be a competent enough #2, while weak enough where he could be eliminated if he said no. - Keeping him away from the Teen Team / New GotG (and other teams) was to keep Mark from attaching other strong loyalties beyond him, helping his odds of Mark agreeing, but since TT/NGotG (and other B groups) beyond that weren't gonna be threats, they could live.
He helps he's father fight the viltrumites read the comics. And later on it was discovered he was a son to the emperor argall who was killed so he became emperor .on he's death bed he made he's son mark he's successor saying you've changed me .

[SPOILERS FROM THE COMICS] [REALLY DUDES THIS ARE MASSIVE SPOILERS] Despite how much I like your theory according to which Nolan wanted to wait for Debbie, Mark and any eventual offspring to die in order to start Earth's takeover, it must be considered that in the comics is revealed later on that the viltrumites numbers are not only deplenished due the vast expansion for the empire but also because of a virus created by the Coaliton of Planets in order to kill anything with a DNA resembling the viltrumite one. Nolan specific mission was to test the human compatibility to Viltrumite powers, once Mark got his powers and Nolan had confirmation of the viltrumite's plan viability he HAD (for his alliance to the empire) to start the preparations for an invasion so that the viltrumite's population could grow once again. This is my opinion, I'm sorry for any grammar mistakes (english is not my first language)
