While that would be funny, spacemarines do have perfect memories recollection of things, they even remember how there previous live was before they become spacemarines and before the psychological indoctrination. That being said a spacemarine forgetting were they put there helmet and be like (proceeds ti eat a chunk of his arm) is extremely meta. 😂

@@dazofthemoo1531 I highly suggest picking up the Sons of Sanguinius book. It was where I was first introduced to the Chapter and other characters like Astorath the Grim and Gabriel Seth. It definitely shows the more hardcore side of 40K. Especially the Red Thirst they carry, they literally make an Inquistor go mad from experiencing it.

They have to eat the brain, particularly the parts that have memories, and the brain can't have been too destroyed by, say, a bolter round. It also can't have decayed or rotted too much, or the information is gone.

​@@Shvetsariorelax, no, he didn't. The organ is space magic. Canonically, an SM can gain memories off livers. So, if anything, the memory reading ability is part psychic. Good old Emprah was one of the greatest psychic minds, and he designed the gene-seed of the SM. To return to the brain eating thing: if you eat the brains, or just plain more of the person, the memories gained become more accurate and last longer. That is it.
