Was an addict, got arrested & thought my life was over. I said FUCK THAT while in the jail cell, Finished probation, got my case dismissed, graduated college, & currently finishing nursing school hopefully this December. Took about 4 years but definitely worth it. IF I CAN DO IT, YOU CAN DO IT
Good for you Da juice, it's one day at a time and keep going be proud of yourself it's not easy but your doing it, I love your story boo, God bless you!!🙏
*Timeline of Change* 1.) 21 Days = Glimpse of Change 2.) 90 Days = Noticable Change 3.) 12 Months = Satisfactory Change 4.) 3 Years = Big Change 5.) 5 Years = Huge Change 6.) 10 Years = Massive Change 7.) 20 Years = Generational Change The bigger the change you wanna make, the longer it will take. If you lack *patience, urgency, or effort,* you won't witness changes.
Life update on this: I've been following Christ for 3 months now. He's freed me from drugs, depression, anxiety, and he's blessing me by taking me out of living paycheck to paycheck and giving me a first career job in IT. I've been a self-improvement junkie for 7 years and read over 400 books in this space but following God for 3 months has changed my life more than gurus have. Moral of the story, Jesus is the Truth + 90 does make for noticable change.
You need to know what you're doing since patience can work both for you or against you depending on situation. In this context about making a change it's about being realistic that every change you make takes time.
Thats the point of urgency, it’s almost like effort is the core of success balanced by two ends, urgency and patience. One side falls too far and there’s an in balance. If your too patient maybe it’s a lack of urgency. And if it’s a lack of urgency maybe it’s because you aren’t so willing to sacrifice in the moment because you won’t believe it will pay off in the future. Sacrifice naturally leads you to be patient considering your putting yourself in a state of lacking to be compensated in the future. But lack of effort could be the reason you missed the opportunity and not because your were too patient. It’s usually a lack of urgency that leads to missed opportunities.
@@brycehunter1309 Mr. Hunter, many thanks for your answer. It answers exactly to the objection raised by Mr. Michael J. An objection that I shared. Many thanks for having let he youtube comment section be something more than a loss of time, for once!
I think it's a mindset perspective. If you're working hard and being patient waiting for that job promotion to open at work and that's all you're waiting for, you've already lost because unless you get it, you're setting yourself up for failure. I would say in conjunction to that job opening, also be putting in resumes elsewhere, looking for other companies positions, advancing your education or professional training, that way you have 3 or 4 things you're being patient with and one will happen.
@@rasulsamad5860 I think it is. The only problem and limiting factor is your persistency following the blueprint for your business of choice. Physical exercise will surely land you an awesome, fit and healthy body, regardless of the types of exercise you're doing. The only point is, will you exercise for long enough? Will you keep at it almost everyday for at least 3 years? For the vast majority of people the answer is no. And the success blueprint, regardless of the field, works in the same way as the success blueprint for physical exercise. At lest these are my two cents!
@@sirioguidoandreapreziosi3836 close to an accounting degree. I figure I'll get a career and have maybe an accounting business on the side. Any advice , thanks in advance.? And I appreciate the response
This is required watching for anyone starting to workout (weight training, running etc.). I experienced every set back when I started running. But I was patient (having friends that encouraged me and some big interesting challenges helped a lot). The changes came much later than I thought but now I'm running marathons. I realized that stubborn patience is needed otherwise I would have never reached this place. Keep the great content coming Pat!
I love how this 5 minute video is literally going to help guide the way I make decisions throughout my life. Excellent planning strategy, I really appreciate this great content
Patrick Bet-David is one of the greatest mentors I have ever had. His videos and book has helped me a HUGE amount, not just in my business, but also in my personal life. Thank you Pat 😊 🙌🏽
That’s why it’s important to love what you do, or at least have a lot of respect and pride for what you do so you can weather the bad times. Stay hungry, good times are ahead!
Very Powerful Video... Thank GOD I've been always very patience with everything and doing a business for long term to reach my Goals and Dreams to Come True. Thanks for this video. It popped up at the Right moment
Patrick you are making me a killer! In the best way! So much value has been extracted from your channel and from your work and books. I've gone from discouraged college student to a man with convictions and direction, passing classes and earning my way in real estate and private equity fields, if there is ever a way I can pay it forward or pay it back to you in dividends, do not hesitate to reach out.
@@tacomonkey222Grow? God is not a person. It's about morality. It will never be perfect. The real question is what do you want at this time? Hopefully grow in the right direction.
I have literally watched a couple of your videos multiple times. From my experience, I have tripled my capacity by just watching your videos. Thank you Pat
I see you have done a lot of videos, RU-vid is such a slow process. I recommend making vids on tik tok as well. U make 100 good vids on tik tok ur nearly guaranteed at least 1 hit and that’s all it takes to get urself well known. Good luck to u

Perfect timing, have been dealing with this on a number of projects. We are in a 1 year experiment with a new biz concept, there are a number of smaller promotions each season, spring summer fall winter. These each require a level of patience from a few weeks to the full year. Prior to covid it was a no brainer but now nothing makes sense. I have been dealing with my patience to keep moving or cut my losses and do something else. God speaks thru you Pat! Thanks for listening to him and doing what he moves in you. It is making a serious difference for me!!
I usually don't comment, but I listened to (and finished) your book "Doing the Impossible" yesterday when I took a long nature walk. I felt like it was just what I needed to hear with the way things have been with my business. I woke up, still not seeing results from all the effort I have been putting in... and once again, this was the PERFECT message I needed to hear to start my day! I recently rebranded my 5+ year old business model and am in the process of implementing many changes so that I can finally scale. Thank you for all of your content. It's direct, gives action steps, and motivates me to keep pushing through the frustrations of being an Entrepreneur.
Thank you for this video. I can very well relate to the struggle of "putting in effort but still seeing no progress". It certainly does psychologically mess with you sometimes.
For myself: The bigger the change you want to make the longer you have to wait. Patience Urgency Effort Level 1: 21 days Level 2: 90 days Level 3: 1 year Level 4: 3 years Level 5: 5 years Level 6: 10 years Level 7: 20 years
This is what i learned the last 2 years fro SURE! Great breakdown though of why it is important! I try to go to fast to make it to the top to where it makes me end up back at the bottom!
Got to be careful who I'm talking to And my daughter knows my story and I'm helping community all the time and keeping the roads safe salute to you Patrick and your crew get in touch Bro
PBD dropping gems as per the usual. Urgency, Effort, Patience and management of timelines. This video reminds me of the "Iceberg Theory" of success. I suggest that you look it up if you are unfamiliar with the premise of it. Basically, when it comes to personal success people only see the top of the iceberg...but what they don't see is what is buried underneath...all the work sacrifices, discipline, setbacks, stop and starts etc. Oftentimes, real breakthroughs come when you are ready to throw in the towel but decide to continue a little longer. Thanx for the gems PBD!!
The book atomic habits explains this really well. And pat goes to show that this way of thinking for sure works. It’s nice to see living proof of what you learn, great motivation
I have been told my entire life I am aggressively patient and a critical thinker that to this day I refuse to give up. I will someday become my own boss & successful.
