@@njtheradical you also got less money too coming in per match so if they would’ve left the pricing the same without the added modes you wouldn’t get anything lmaoo
Eventhough this game is pure ass. The customizations and music os awesome. Best law customization ever, had the REAL game of death and enter the dragon Bruce Lee outfits.
this was my comfort game from age 9-12. it was mid but the amount of time i spent on co op and customization was fun as hell. this game still feeds my nostalgia needs.
Ngl when this came out in arcade the intro with full on World War 3 and Jin looking like he gone full evil was very good at drawing me in to play it haha
I honestly loved playing through the scenario mode when I was younger. Wish they would bring it back in Tekken 8 but flesh it out a bit more and improve it.
@@jimmyfaltu8155 There is co-op for the gameplay style but not story based. I was one of the top 100 in leaderboards within it cause i was literally engaged religiously playing it and never got bored.
The scenario campaign and co-op is actually very fun and i played it more than versus tbh. The dialogue changes with every character in every stage was really cool dynamic. As for story i liked it and i felt more engaged with it.
I was so competitive with T6/TTT2 back in the day; it's crazy to think back on. T7 just never really clicked with me. I was always so shocked how popular it became.
I was actively going to the arcade a lot during the end of 5 and then DR era. Most the people I meet through the arcade and played 5 with didnt like T6 or Tag 2 which I could understand from what I remember on the old forum days there was a lot of people that dropped Tekken with 6 for various reasons, a lot of the people I knew from the 5/DR era liked 7 and started playing again. T7's popularity was also kind of a perfect storm the right game to bring back old players and some new plus with how bad SFV was for S1 and S2 a lot of SF players gave it a shot and liked it enough plus the shine it got at tournaments as a result
Tekken 6 was perfect, fulfilling, detailed, rich and varied experience for me. It had everything i needed in a fighting game. I wish they will add something like scenario campaign & co-op in T8; not to be main story mode but something add on or different DLC mode. The characters dialogue, funky weapons, challenging many opponents, bosses ect. I was one of the top 100 in leaderboards within it cause i was literally engaged religiously playing it and never got bored. I think beat 'em up style gameplay is very fun feature and they can easily improve it and do not require a lot of effort.
@@Ryuhza you could literally make your character look like ANYBODY in ttt2. so many options. on top of that the music in the customization room fkn slapped. what would you say is superior?
Tekken 6 was also very solid, and it has some very good soundtracks as well especially The Karma - Electric Fountain OST, but Tekken 4 and 5 are like the symbol of Yin&Yang☯️ for me, especially from the old but gold Era of Tekken games of PS2... 👌✌️
All the Tekken games before 6 were also flawed even the mighty Tekken 5 was nothing but Steve Fox mirror matches until DR fixed everything people seem to forget this.
I don’t understand why people hated the Scenario Campaign because everyone loved Tekken Force and it’s basically the same thing but with a story also I hear a lot of complains about the story being tedious or over the top but Tekken never had a down to earth story in the series it always had it moments except for Tekken 4 maybe and the sane people who complained about Scenario Campaign always said that Tekken 7 didn’t have a good focus on story even though Tekken 6 did have a lot of focus on that but they hated it anyway.
Tekken Force was only a few stages and didn’t overstay its welcome. But then you make it 50 stages long, with generic music, repetitive enemies, a forced focus on Lars and Alisa which nobody cared about, then you can see how it’s not exactly Tekken Force. Also they didn’t add coop until way after release, after I had already beaten it.
Tekken 6 was my first Tekken actually. There was Tekken 3 and 5 in the arcades, but Tekken 6 was the first one we rented that introduced me and my siblings into the series. Mystical Forrest was my favorite stage in all of Tekken.
Bruh the fact that the AI could literally mimic your your freaking play style and skill was just insane 🙆🏾♂️🤣😂 T6 is my most played Tekken game and it's my favorite in the franchise
I always liked T6 more than T7 despite its bad balancing on the characters. It even had Scenario Campaign and Team Battle. So, it's one of the best installments in the franchise but T5 is the real peak for me
Tekken 6 had the best customization, updated Tekken Force aka Scenario Campaign, the character models actually looked human and not like they were all on the juice. The intros were the best, characters like Miguel, Eddy, and Lili all spoke English. The bound system was the best, the soundtrack was the best. Electric Fountain and Hidden Retreat will forever be a classic! I'm glad Tekken 6 is getting the love it's finally deserves. Ppl been overlooking this game for years and years. Til this day you can still find matches online for Tekken 6.
I had real fun when I was six when I got my PSP which included Tekken 6 that my brother already played, at first I was so scared looking at the title and listening to the background music. But then I got hooked by this game so quickly that I became obsessed with this game overnight. I still play Tekken to this day and still one of my favourite franchise ever.
Probably my favorite Tekken, tbh. I'd kill for a version with a better resolution and loading times. And yeah, a rebalanced economy, 'cause it's pretty insane to try and get anything outside of Scenario Campaign.
I remember Azazel back in the day broke my brain, broke my siblings, broke my entire spirit for the longest. I spent hours fighting him and fighting him trying to get all of the weaknesses he’s got down and embedded into my mind. It sucks being bad at a game but competitive cuz then your drive to win make you not wanna stop until you do… I can feel like even though that was when I was like 13 I can probably still beat Azazel tho I haven’t played T6 in ages… it’s funny how different every Tekken game is cuz T6 is not like T7 at all so I can’t imagine what T8 is gonna be like when it fully releases. Man…
The online was a bit toxic though I remember that quite well. Cappos, law, Bryan, Lars, Bob, wang or Lili on a 3 bar connection.....all I’m going to say is good luck, you’re gunna need it fighting them. Punishment wasn’t the best with a lot of characters, and the game feels like you can get floated or hit out a move way too easily for a juggle. I remember getting counter hit by Law or Lei WAY too easily. I couldn’t even move an inch without getting counter hit launched. But it was the first Tekken game I took seriously and learned about frames back in the day. You had to go to Tekken Zaibatsu and read up on character specialists who typed up a whole bible for a character, including what moves worked better for certain unique situations, and how to launch from even the most obscure moves. It was crazy, but that level of dedication to a game was something to behold.
I ended up just relying on the drops from Scenario Campaign to get the clothes I wanted...which yes, sucked when it wasn't the specific color but when I did get enough gold, then I used to to get what I wanted but that was reserved towards hair customization usually.
Watching these videos makes me want to reinstall street fighter 5 and try to get gud at fighting games and then as soon as I hop in that jawn I get double perfect KO’D
Honestly. This is the game that got me into Tekken itself, a shame that I wasn’t alive to try previous titles. But nevertheless I’m thankful for having found this game ❤
You'd have to have played it during it's time to truly appreciate it. Tekken 6 was one of my most played games along with Modern Warfare 2. Tekken 6 was when I could finally pull off the electric 40 percent of the time. Though that's probably because most of time playing T5 was on psp Dark Resurrection. T6 is definitely a great game. Had great content and felt alive compared to Tekken 7.
Tekken 4 was my introduction to the series thanks to the arcade. A few days later I found Tekken 5 at GameStop! Yeah I skipped Tekken 6 because when I got myself a PS3, Tekken tag 2 was the new hotness
Tendo's american cousin summoning the death fist from the abyss of spamming known as the tenth circle of hell had me losing my shit at work, thank god there ain't no one around to hear me lauging my ass off.
Karma Electric Fountain. That right there is enough to GOAT this game, man the OST was firrreeeeee. Then again apart from 7 every game had fantastic music.
Would anyone believe it if I told them I worked my ass off grinding the scenario campaign for gear that earns more money(yes that's a thing) to grind even more so I could have at least 1 dripped out fit for every character in the game(no I didn't even play with everyone I just wanted my cast to feel unique to myself)
