Truly excellent Android watches are few and far between. Here is why the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is one of the best Android smart watches in Android Police's Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic long-term review - almost 1 year later!
Man! have had the watch with me since launch and didn't know that you could use the standard pad for charging. You learn something new everyday. Thanks for the video.
This watch is almost perfect except the performance could be better. The Pixel Watch 2 is more snappy with smoother animations. I suspect this is cause of the Exynos chip they use.
That or it could be due to the watch version of their One UI. I find mine to be snappy enough, though. I just want to know how he got 2.5 days of battery life.
I have both the SGW6C and PW2. I love the look, premium build, and attractive UI of the SW. However, I often find myself wearing my PW2 70% of the time due to how fast and comfortable it is; even with its restrictive and unappealing UI. I also prefer the digital crown over the rotating bezel of the SGW6C. The PW2 will unfortunately shut down randomly and scratches far easier. The SGW6C is a far more premium watch and is FANTASTIC. I wouldn't have looked twice at the PW2 if it did not come for free with my P8P.
I own a watch 6 classic now, sold my Pixel watch 2, that thing was laggy AF. I know, it was fast, but literally every single freaking animation laggs on that thing, sorry Google, but im all team galaxy now... Speed isn't everything, fluidity is.
how do you get 2.5 days ? max ive gotten was slightly more than 1.5 days and thats mostly gym in the morning that takes around 10 to12 %, sleep tracking that takes around 10%. Then im WFH and i dont have it on me but by night time it'll be around 30ish or less % ?
I've had the Galaxy watch GW 5 and the GW 6 classic and they keep improving each generation with the warranty refund at the time it only cost $70 to get it. I love the rotating bezel.which the Galaxy Watch had
I do not know why no reviewer talk about the problem of using the galaxy watch without a samsung phone. Android does not mean samsung only. You do not have most of the features if you use galaxy watch without a samsung phone. So do not buy if you want to use the watch with a non samsung phone.
@izgil7541 I'm also surprised with his comment, I used mine with xiaomi blackshark 4 and I'm blown away, I even pair it with my iPhone 13 pro max and I'm satisfied too.
Very true, I made the big mistake of changing my phone... The biggest issue I'm facing is keeping the phone and watch connected via the app. The Wear app randomly is killed on non Samsung phones and so the two devices don't remain connected properly.
I would love to see Another Fossil Wear Os watch, looks amazing UI is quite good, rotating bezel + free off all the bloatware while Samsung Watch is bloated af, i m currently using Watch 6 Classic, I dont like the UI much feels bad, binding buttons to Google Wallet makes my samsung watch unbind them after 2-3 weeks and forcing me to use Samsung Pay which i will never use. Other than that its quite good watch i have to say, im quite happy with it, got a good deal on mine but would never pay so much for what it delivered.
If other streaming services can bring Jam session and seamless multi device connection, I'll consider switching. Until then, it is a no brainer since these are the features I use a lot.
If Samsung release their own edition of the Huawei Ultimate, which has style and battery, then and only I'll buy a Samsung watch. Until then, nothing beats Huawei's watches.
I'm sorry but the battery life is artrcious.. How are you getting 2 days+? I can barely make it through one day and I've had it for over a week... So the learning should have happened. I'm not impressed with this watch at all... Coming from Huawei GT4 - Samsung could learn a thing or two about battery life and light weight beautiful design!
Seriously disagree because of Samsung Health which just doesn't work well with Health Connect. Limiting the tracking of external apps such as Strava or Peloton, my FitBit scale, etc. Samsung just doesn't work well enough with others. I much prefer the Pixel Watch 2 with Fitbit software which interconnects with all other apps seamlessly.
The watch should come with a proper warning that this watch is meant to be used with only Samsung Galaxy devices. Besides msising out on features like ECG, BP and even profile syncing and alarms... Ive noticed that the app on non samsung devices has issues, wherein the phone and watch are connected via Bluetooth but cannot communicate since the app is killed by the phone in the background.
@@Tyrone98 You are right about the BP and ECG features. But the issue is that I purchased the watch so that I could keep my phone aside, while still being available to pick up phone calls or reply to messages. But since they randomly lose connection, without even alerting, I have missed essential notifications like this.
No need to set alarms on the SGW6 given that you're able to disable your phones alarms though the watch. It's really a non issue. If you Samsung Wearables app shuts down; go into the apps page of your phone's settings and disable any battery or connectivity optimisations. You'll no longer have those issues of the app closing.
They need to improve the heart rate tracking, a lot of times it'll say my HR is a lot lower than it actually sizes which throws off the calories I burned during a workout or any activity
I bought the Galaxy watch 6 classic 47 mm I returned it after 2 weeks that's another smoothest watch . So I bought that one plus watch 2 and I much more happy except for a long feature that I miss is that rotating bezel
Had this watch earlier in the year but had a few issues with connectivity, battery life was trash, chip was very laggy and watch faces would leave a weird black mark on the screen when scrolling through the settings. It would go away if you kept changing the face but it became too annoying so decided to send it back. Use a OnePlus watch 2 now and other than the watch app on my phone, I feel it's an improvement in pretty much every way.
I have the 5 pro with O2, BP, and Temperature. My battery is 2.5 days long and the screen is sapphire coated. Why would I upgrade to a less battery that barely gets a day. The best Galaxy watch was the 5 pro.
I will NEVER buy another galaxy watch after getting the pixel watch 2. Yes the pixel watch line could be better in some aspects and the larger screen is nice on the galaxy line but I had 4 galaxy watches and every single one had crazy issues. The last one would try to hook to random people's phones no matter what I did or how many times I reset. Samsungs answer was I needed to buy a new one (that one was just over a year old) Pixel watch 2 has been great! No connection issues, no lagging, no needing to reset monthly, charges quick, battery last 2 days, and easy to use without having to have 3 or 4 apps to even set the thing up like Samsung.
Fed up of you One plus sheep on samsung threads. If your One plus tech so good why are you here? I does only use Samsung phones and don't be trolling other brands sites unless it's a comparison
