The Boss IR-200 is a complete amp-in-a-box and IR cabinet pedal.
It's got 8 guitar amps, 3 bass amps, and 6 interchangeable cabs for each, and it also comes with 10 Celestion IRs. You can load 64 stereo or 128 mono IRs up to 500ms in length.
The IR-200 can be used as a USB audio interface, with the option to "re-amp" your tones later.

I got this when the video was made. I still have it. This pedal is amazing with the exception that all the IRs suck in my humble opinion... Get some After Market IRs and watch this pedal come to life!!!! also they could've put a tuner in it. Cheers good video..

Oh yes! The pedalboard demo was what I was looking for! I have s DSM & Humboldt Simplifier, which is great, but it doesn't take fuzz, distortion or overdrive pedals very well. It sort of sounds like there's no headroom, the sound breaks up kind of crackly. It doesn't clip, it just isn't what I'm looking for. I'm buying the Boss IR-200 as soon as it comes out. I've got my order down at my local guitar (etc) store.

I have watched almost every video available about the IR 200 including the notorious Rabea, Leon, Pete and the Studio rats. But this is the video that impressed me the most. I wonder if it's the P90s pickups, your setup or your fingers but every tone you have extracted sounded absolutely beautiful. Well done !!!

So great demo James! Just a question: does your fuzz clean up with the guitar volumen as well as it does with a tube amp? I do the Hendrix thing of having the fuzz always on for clean tones and back to 10 on the volumen knob for soloing., So i need to know if the BOSS does the trick. Thanks!

Hello. I just found your channel. I was looking for this Boss IR200 I saw the other day for the first time.. I want to know if I need a computer or other gear to use this pedal. I mean a stand alone pedal. Pedal, guitar and amp with speaker. Does it matter if the speaker is an A type or neutral sounding or colored speaker like a V30.

Can you hook up Overdrive pedals pre IR-200 and effect pedals via the effects loop and all the pedal sounds will carry over to the computer?

I believe it's only capable of sake amp with different cabs on each side. Can't find out how to do 2 amps. Let me know if I'm wrong

I got this a few weeks ago. It’s almost unusable noisy. They cover it up with a pretty aggressive noise gate, but once you turn that off you can really hear what’s going on. Having said that, it’s really the Marshall and Vox amps that are noisy. This is the first modeler where I actually use the Fender tones. They’re usually awful on other devices. Sad to say, but I just use it as a stereo IR loader now.

Try to take the amps off the high-gain mode into low or medium gain modes. That gets it way less noisy!

How is it purely as an IR loader? Being stereo and having lots of storage slots along with FX should put it well ahead of a Two Notes Opus/Cab M+ solution in that regard. It would be good to hear your perspective

Well I mean you can eq it to your liking and it has an fx loop and doubles as an audio interface, making the Iridium obsolete.

It does more than the Iridium, but not everybody wants all the bells and whistles. The iridium is still good for it's simplicity. They both sound great.

@@patricktracy1966 I guess. I don't know though. On paper it should outperform the Iridium but every single demo I've heard of the Boss just makes it sound shrill to me. I thought it was just one or two early reviewers that just plugged it straight in but no.
