Why the young had to choose to go to the jail | Undercover Korea

This may not be the case in most countries, but in Korea, where 'hakwons' are common, it's not so strange. Young people who have just turned 20 come to hakwons to study, hoping to get a job. This is because a lot of things in Korea are based on exams.

The title is misleading. More like a board school or training school. Incarceration means jail. Thus is not jail.

and religion originally literally means ‘to bind something tightly’ religare. Words change. As long as it is somewhat synonymous and not an antonym its fine. English itself came from misusing and changing german/ latin words. Words/ definitions arent set in stone.

Looks more like a poorhouse where the wards work or study in exchange of bare necessities or better jobs. But since they aren’t exploited it’s more like a summer camp or an intensive study program. I mean it’s not as if they are not feed if they study wrong or forced to work and make the company money

@@alexcarter8807I've worked in shelters since HS. I wouldn't say it's normal but it does happen. Those who do this are usually the ones who refuse to go to shelters. They can hide their bias and pretend to adhere to all the rules yet their internal lack of control and temptation towards negative proclivities can't be predicted. I have lived and worked in South Korea; by profession I'm a formal teacher (method of teaching not important in this context) I know the importance of formative and summative testing, tests are relevant when most of professional situations require making numerical decisions, calculated to bring about results. STEM subjects all require a high caliber of quick thinking. On the other hand science is also creative. Subjects unrelated to STEM should never be contingent of pass grade through examinations. I have had this discussion in the past with a university lecturer. I feel really sorry for Koreans, the pressure they must endure to maintain a 'normal occupation with an income'. And it is never guaranteed after graduation. Move to Australia life is much more chill...>,

It’s the same with many people my age and younger. (I’m 22). It’s the companies requiring too much experience for a job realistically not needing that much, positions being denied to qualified and determined individuals based on status. Cherry picking gone too far.

@wip1664
@wip1664 9 месяцев назад
Why do you not understand? It takes one person to change a lightbulb, not six. And light bulbs in the 21st century can last about 10,000 hours of usage, most of them. Infrequently changed. We had been in the technology era for decades now. There are and should be much fewer jobs than in the industrial era, which had also eliminated jobs.
@maximillianafrancine1451
@maximillianafrancine1451 9 месяцев назад
@wip1664 The use or failure to use technology is a choice. A machine does not have ambitions or kids to raise, nor does it wish to get married. I know of one developing country where the authorities insisted that where human labour could be used, it had to be used. It transformed the communities along the stretch of the road that was being built. It is laughable that the very humans who decide a machine is better than a cashier will then complain that jobs are disappearing. Because a machine can do certain things even more efficiently does not mean it should be brought in to do it. As for not understanding and why, if I knew the answer to that, I wouldn't have asked the question.
@wip1664
@wip1664 9 месяцев назад
@@maximillianafrancine1451 I thought I had hinted the answer well enough. That if a job that can be done by a machine, or be automated, to do so would always be more efficient, more consistent. A machine cannot build roads by itself. A human is much better, faster, more effective at building a road with industrial equipment/machines than without, and fewer humans would be needed to execute. But technology, or machines, can ensure the entire project runs (is executed) smoothly, timely, with fewer errors from beginning/planning to completion. With the use of technology or intelligent machines, the entire process also would have a well documented trail, in case somethings within the project need to be reviewed/revised prior to completion or after.

But I will have a greater respect for someone who could succeed despite the distraction of the opposite sex, the person who has enough self-control to prioritize their studies over scrolling on their phones. The Korean economy is highly based on nepotism, just a few companies such as Hyundai or Samsung are controlling the economy, they are so powerful that they even influence the politics of the country, I have no evidence for it but I am sure these big companies have links to freemasonry, I will not go into details because people think I am a weirdo. Listen to this guy saying he dreamt of being a GO player I don't know exactly what this is, but most likely a computer game, how realistic is that, many Korean women dream from being a kpop star,again how realistic is that? there is this social platform called twitch there are so many Korean women who show off their beauty expecting money from viewers, many of them are doing it for hours every day, I mean do they have another option other than dancing half naked, I am not a saint I would be maybe the first watching these streams but long story short, there is for sure more than being a good looking person, they are going through this hardcore system that probably doesn't exist anywhere else in the world. You can't fix this situation just by giving your best.

If you knew just the slightest bit about Asian culture, you'd know that go is not a computer game. Talk about commenting out of ignorance.
